This is an absolutely fantastic care home. We were in desperate need of some urgent respite for my 90yr old father when my mother went in to hospital. Julie, Michelle and the rest of the team could not have been more helpful at a time of high stress for the family.
My mother has since come out of hospital and now both parents plan to become permanent residents, the care is that good.

The rooms are lovely as are the facilities. This is a superb care home and the staff are its best asset. Thank you for your help, and we rest easy knowing that our folks are in the best hands.

I have been so happy since my mother has been in the Care Home. The staff go above and beyond for my mum and I feel that she is so safe there and well looked after. I like going in too as I have a wonderful relationship with the staff. I am more than happy with the service and care they provide.

Over the last couple of years mum has had respite care for a period of months at two care homes, one like a five star hotel with less than helpful staff and one with a less impressive appearance but lovely helpful staff. Devonshire Court is the best of both worlds.
The in depth initial assessment by Claire and Jenny was very professional and allayed any of mums fears and worries. Upon arriving at the home everyone went out of their way to make mum feel at home and have continued to do so. Special mention to Michelle and Ian who oversaw mums transition from temporary to permanent residence.

I can recommend Devonshire Court without reservation.

My Dad has now been at Devonshire Court for 10 months and it was a huge decision to admit him there for respite care but he was so poorly we needed their help. From the moment I met them and we then had the initial assessment done the whole family has felt so supported. Dad has been so well cared for that he is now a permanent resident. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff and they are always smiling and caring. They have taken dad to hospital appointments that I couldn't make, on day trips and even shopping. The most important thing to me has been how much they've taken an interest in Dad and will always spend time to sit down and chat with him. I would thoroughly recommend Devonshire Court to anyone.

Devonshire Court has the most caring and thoughtful staff I have ever met..Not just the carers but everyone from Admin, activity co-ordinators, kitchen staff, cleaners and volunteers. They all go the extra mile, above and beyond. Both my parents have been given the upmost care over the last few months. It is a lovely environment when visiting my parents and I love going. I always stay a few hours at least 4 times a week and everyone is very welcoming, and always remember my name and that of my family too. Devonshire Court is a very special place.

From the very beginning mum has been treated with care and respect.
The staff are wonderful, with their time and patience,we feel reassured mum is well looked after.
We,as a family, knew it would not be easy but thanks to the whole team, their support and understanding the process has not been as daunting as we feared.
Mum has settled well and is enjoying the activities, especially Friday Night party time !

I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a caring, safe place for their loved one. This one ticks all the boxes.

Devonshire Court is absolutely wonderful, my husband has only been there a few weeks but already refers to it as his new Home. Settled in immediately, the relief to the family knowing he is happy and well cared for is immense.

Cannot fault the Home and the same goes for the caring staff.

Would rate Devonshire Court with 10*s if possible.

My husband has dementia. He stayed at Devonshire House for 14 days of respite care.
He was treated with dignity, and the staff did all they could to make him comfortable and safe. His bedroom was light and airy and very clean. He had his own WC and sink.

He speaks highly of all the staff and said they were "first class"

My mother was discharged from hospital following a lengthy 14 week period during which time my beloved father passed away. Mum was too ill to go to the funeral. The decision to move mum into care could not be avoided. Thankfully we chose Devonshire Court and mum's health is now improving considerably thanks to the care being received. We no longer have to work a rota where we have to visit mum every single day like in the hospital because we know she is being well looked after. The whole family have gone through an unprecedented difficult time over the last five months, but we know our mum is being looked after in the best way possible.

When I was discharged from the hospital on 28th May, I was unable to return home and I needed to find temporary accommodation with disabled facilities due to my reduced mobility. From the moment I arrived at Devonshire Court, I was overwhelmed by the warmth of the welcome I received from all of the staff there. I was assigned a spacious and comfortable room with television and en-suite facilities and my every request was cheerfully accommodated, even to the extent of the provision of ice for my nightly dram of whisky! The food was good and varied and much more comparable to a private hotel than one's preconceived idea of care-home catering and I was even permitted to bring in my own bottle of wine to the dinner table! There was a comprehensive programme of entertainment - often accompanied by a welcome glass of sherry or a G&T - and I found the other residents pleasant and friendly. I would have no hesitation in returning to Devonshire Court myself or recommending it to others.

Our father became a resident at Devonshire Court 5 1/2 years ago and passed away there in March this year. He had always known this was where he would want to be when the time came should he need assisted care, but was always reluctant to acknowledge the moment, thinking this would mark the beginning of his decline! It could not have been more different. From day one our father thrived at Devonshire. He was treated with love, care and dignity at all times and my sister and I were grateful to know he was safe and warm and fed but most importantly happy. It takes a team led from the top to provide the client-centred care needed for all the residents. When I say team, I mean everyone who contributes to Devonshire life on a day-to-day basis, from the carers providing personal care, the catering team making fresh meals, to the housekeepers keeping everywhere clean, to the laundry, and the activities team who keep everyone occupied and make everything fun!

Thank you all!

My mother came to Devonshire Court initially for a few weeks respite care while she recovered from a heart attack. She then suffered a second heart attack which led to her becoming a permanent resident. There then followed a series of more attacks and finally a stroke. She was a resident from September to February and during that time she received excellent loving care from an attentive staff, in a clean and warm room. Nothing was too much trouble and her family were welcomed and given free reign to make hot drinks in the kitchen while spending many hours with Mother. We especially loved the free ice creams that Mum, the grandchildren and great grandchildren enjoyed from the freezer in reception. Such a little thing meant so much.

Brilliant is not too big a word to use in my review.

My mum was having falls and was diagnosed with dementia, so as a family, we chose Devonshire Court to keep her safe. She was only there a short time but the staff were excellent and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The home itself is lovely and clean with activities on every day for the residents. I would highly recommend this home. If Mum had to go back into a care home would definitely choose Devonshire Court again.

As a family, we needed to move my uncle into a care home in Leicestershire, and as a district nurse I immediately looked for care homes rated excellent by the CQC, of which Devonshire Court is only one of two. From my first contact with the care home, I could see that person-centred care was an ethos that ran throughout the home. My uncle's needs were understood and despite not being a Mason he was accepted as a resident. Throughout his relatively short stay of just a few months before he died, he was cared for by staff who truly understood person-centred care. He was treated with dignity and was always clean and shaved as if he could have still cared for himself. I can only say thank you to every member of the care team and administration team who made this time so much easier than it might have been elsewhere. I would have no hesitation in recommending Devonshire Court to others looking for a truly caring place for their family members.

The environment is welcoming with many lovely extras. Pets that live here and visiting dogs made welcome too. The hospitality offered to visiting family and friends makes for frequent returns. Ice cream very welcome. All carers good but some show true vocation. I can rest knowing Mum is as safe as can be. They go out of their way to supply all her requests.

The staff at Devonshire Court are carers in the truest sense.

My Mother lived there for the last few months of her life having been an independent lady living in her own home until a few months after her 99th Birthday.

The detail and consideration put into making her feel secure and the acknowledgement of who she was as a person is phenomenal. Her dignity and identity were respected and the attention and love she was shown during a challenging part of her life was humbling to witness. I am forever indebted to all the staff. Thank you
