My Mother-In-Law was a resident for 2 1/2 years. She started as an able wheelchair user through to her death, Nov 25. Throughout her stay, she was only ever met with kindness and care (Even if she didn't always appreciate it!). The last 6 months were very difficult for her, but the staff were endlessly
patient and continuously encouraging. When she became very poorly, the staff made a great effort to keep her comfortable and her spirits up. The activity coordinators were particularly lovely. I could not fault the care and compassion that she, and we, were shown, proving that it's not the decor that's important, but the people that work there, and they are a fantastic team!
Reply from Nina Stephens, Home Manager at Prince George Duke of Kent CourtThank you for taking the time to leave such positive feedback, I am glad that you were always met with kindness and care from the team. I will pass this on to the whole team. Many thanks, Nina

I highly recommend this home, my Nan was a temporary resident from Sept to Dec this year until a room became available at another RMBI home nearer to the family.
All the staff are so kind, friendly and caring. They put soo much time and effort into my Nan's care even though she was only there temporarily...they
really wanted her to thrive. It was sad that she needed to move, it was just such a difficult journey for us which meant we weren't able to visit very often. I have to mention that during the times no-one could visit I felt reassured that Nan was in great hands and if anything was to happen they would be in touch straight away.
The staff on John Hunter were excellent at keeping us updated on everything, so we knew that if we didn't hear from the home that Nan was doing fine. It put us so at ease.
The staff asked me to keep in touch with updates of how she's getting which is really lovely. Especially when her Alzheimer's can make her a very nasty difficult person at times.
Reply from Bernadette Foley Davies, Business Relations Manager at James Terry CourtThank you so much for your lovely review, it was a real pleasure to look after your Nan and to get to know you and your family. I will pass this review onto our team.

We could not have asked for our dear father Paul to have been in a better home for his last few years. Every single member of staff was compassionate and professional at all times. We are very grateful to them all. I can't think of anything I could suggest to improve. I guess that says it all!

James terry court is a very well run home,
My mother was admitted in January this year as I was no longer able to care for her as she needed 24 hrs care, I was very apprehensive at first, but I have found the care and consideration of the staff to be outstanding, the home is lovely and bright, the rooms
are spacious, and all the areas are kept spotless, there is so much for them to do,lots of entertainment and activities, a very nice hairdressing salon,it really is like a very well run hotel, but the emphasis for me is how well they take care of mum, they are so kind, I cannot find any fault and would highly recommend it.

My mum has been at JTC for the last 3 months after being moved from an awful care home. I can easily say that within 48 hours of being there I noticed such an improvement in her.

This has continued and my mum is as settled as I think she could be anywhere, From day 1, I was very impressed with all

of the staff and this still continues and is the same with every member of staff that I have met. The staff take care of all of my mums personal needs, but also as importantly, take the time out to just sit and talk to the residents.

The home is always very clean, food looks lovely and I think there are activities most days, although my mum does not take part in a lot of these, but there is never any pressure on my mum to do things that she does not want to do.

My mum has Dementia and Parkinsons, but since being at JTC, I hardly notice her Parkinson symptoms and her mobility has improved.

I can not praise the staff enough and thank you for putting the familys minds at ease

The staff are always helpful and ready to help, always on time and safe when working. The activities that are arranged are amazing, keeping my mum engaged in all of them, which she really enjoys. The food is of great quality and well presented, there is nothing they won't help with and they are willing
to put in place any suggestions. A great home.

The day my brother and I first walked into reception, we were taken aback by the cheerful atmosphere that greeted us. More akin to a hotel lobby than a retirement home, the place was bustling with life - friendly staff, sunshine streaming through the windows, views of the gardens, appetising menus -
we knew instantly our 90 year old Dad would like it here.
Rendered immobile by secondary bone cancer, the room was well-equipped for Dad's needs. With a big window overlooking the lawn, he also had use of a mobile recliner which gave him the freedom to sit outside, eat in the dining room or socialise in the bar area if he wanted to.
During his four month stay at Prince George, our Dad was treated with an exceptional level of love, care and respect by a dedicated team of nurses, carers and staff who took time to engage with him, laugh with him, cherish and comfort him through the last stage of his life. We will never forget and cannot thank everyone enough for that.
Reply from Nina Stephens, Home Manager at Prince George Duke of Kent CourtThank you for taking the time to give a 5 star review. We really appreciate your feedback, I will pass on this very positive feedback to the whole team. It was a pleasure to care for your Dad in our Home. Kindest regards

My mother who has a recent diagnosis of dementia and is immobile has been a resident at Prince George for 4 months. During this period not only has my mother been treated with dignity and respect, but so have the family from the management team, carers, to the domestic staff everyone is so friendly
and welcoming and it feels like "home". The lovely ladies in pink who arrange and coordinate the activities and entertainment go out of their way to include my mother and always have a conversation with her. As my mother often says to me "everyone is kind, which is very important, and they talk to me." Mum has recently moved to a newly decorated room, which has the most beautiful coordinated furniture and to top it a view of the garden in flower.

My wife arrived at James Terry Court (JTC)in September 2024, after 11 months in hospital. We expect she will remain here indefinitely. The transition from hospital to nursing home has been very positive. Since arrival, she has been making great progress in recovery. Our experience of JTC is all very
positive. There is a strong feeling of community and joy. Other visitors often comment "This place is lovely", which reinforces our opinions too. The food is prepared and served with great care. The carers and nurses are all cheerful and well organised. The activity programme with two activities every day, 7 days a week, provides great stimulus. Mixing with the other residents is also heart warming. We often join her for meals, making our visit extra special. All of these factors, and more, contribute to our feeling that she is in the best possible place. None of this good stuff just happens by magic, it shows that behind the scenes there is good management at work to produce these results.

On visiting my husband's uncle and auntie e found the care to be very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The facilities were excellent.
