During the period covered my sister-in-law died on 4/9/24. I always found the staff to be extremely pleasant and they were always available to discuss any problems or day-to-day observations.
Communication was excellent throughout but during a period of illness the staff showed excellent, loving care
and respected her dignity at all times.
There are some options I can't complete as I wasn't in attendance at these times. To complete, my sister always recognised the home as hers and never commented about her previous home.

My auntie is very well looked after by the very caring staff. The food is excellent and my auntie enjoys it very much. There's a very pleasant family atmosphere every time I visit.

The care home has always supported my mother-in-law with genuine care, respect and with dignity. The home is always clean and there seems to be a calm environment where nothing seems to be too much trouble. They have always communicated well with the family and provided knowledgeable care when that
care has also had to adjust based on the medical and personal needs of my mother-in-law.

When my dad was first taken into the care home, I was worried because I'd heard about the horror stories that can happen, but when I visited I was pleasantly surprised. My dad was being looked after to a good standard in a way that he wasn't able to get at home. He was well cleaned and seemed more settled.
Dad told me he feels safe in the home. This is not something I've ever heard from him in 30 years! Based on the interactions I've had, I'd say the staff are exceptional, including managment. Staff go out of their way to meet the needs of residents. There seems to be an emphasis on client dignity here which I appreciate. As a carer for my family, this has taken some pressure off me for the first time. The building is well-cleaned and smells clean. Meals are quality, healthy and balanced. If issues have arisen, staff have been really helpful. I hear White Rose has a core staff team who have been there for over 20 years which is rare as staff turnovers can be quite high in care homes and it shows. Thanks, everyone at White Rose!

I find the home very welcoming. Staff and management are a great team, very loving and caring with all residents. They keep you informed of any issues and have always answered any questions regarding my mum, who has been a resident here for nearly four years. I am very happy with the knowledge that
my mum is very well cared for in a dignified way. I would happily recommend this homely care home to anyone.

The attitude of staff is excellent; professional and caring. My dad seems very content. He eats well and has his healthcare needs well looked after.
For me, the low staff turnover is the best indicator of a good care home.

I think the staff work very hard and they look after each one in a good positive way. I am very grateful for how they have taken care of my husband and it's been a great help to me. I did not want my husband to go into a nursing home but I now realise I could no longer have given him the care he needs,
it is the help that they have shown to both of us that has pulled me through all this change in our lives. I cannot thank them enough.

My Grandma moved into care this year having needed support as her Dementia progressed. I have to say, the difference in her is amazing. She had lost a lot of weight due to her forgetting to eat, the home has really helped with this and sent me photos of her progress. She is very happy there and that's
all I can ask for.

White Rose is a converted large house - probably Victorian turn of the century, and although it does not have all facilities of a modern purpose-built facility, it is small enough to be regarded as a home, and with only 21 residents is not over large. It does not come over as being an institution and
I get the impression from social workers that it is a good place to send loved ones.

My cousin was placed in White Rose Court by Social Services after not being able to look after herself following the death of her husband. As soon as we were informed that this was the case we went and visited her. From that first visit to the present day we could not be more pleased with the home and
its management and staff for the care and compassion they have shown towards her. Post-Covid they have kept us informed about her and we received a picture of her and a newsletter to keep us informed of visits etc. We ring her on a monthly basis and staff are pleased to help with any questions we might have.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.673)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.673) out of 10 for White Rose Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 28 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 28 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.673 for White Rose Court is calculated as follows: ( (221 Excellents x 5) + (80 Goods x 4) + (11 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 312 Ratings = 4.673
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for White Rose Court is based on 28 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 21 registered maximum number of service users is 4.2, which has been reached with 28 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
