I am very happy with my husband who suffers with dementia and is in the later stafes, has settled in and is more relaxed than he has for a long time. The staff are amazing, caring and friendly and approachable, as are the management. No one wants to agree for their loved one to be taken into care and
I don't think myself and my family could have found a better place for him to be.

Mum has been at Seven Hills for the past 4 months, from when her dementia became too severe for her to remain at home. Since the very first meeting, mum and the rest of the family have been treated with kindness and dignity at all times. Mum has challenging needs - her behaviour is unpredictable, she
is at risk of falls, communication is poor and so on. And yet the staff at Seven Hills look after her attentively and with a smile on their faces at all times. The staff always report back to the family whenever there has been an accident or any event which affects her wellbeing - perhaps mum has fallen for example. As a result we feel involved with mum's care when we are not physically with her. Personally I am satisfied that mum is in a very suitable place her for health care.

Seven Hills Nursing Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My brother stayed at the home for his final weeks. From the beginning he was treated with kindness, dignity and compassion. Although this was a very difficult and emotional time for our family, it brought us comfort to know he was somewhere safe where people genuinely cared about him.

I visited regularly

so had the opportunity to get to know many of the staff and to see first-hand the care they provided. The care always felt very personal and thoughtful. Staff were attentive and patient, and they made sure he was comfortable and treated with respect at all times. It was clear that they cared about him as a person, not just as a resident.

Communication with the staff was very good throughout. They were always open and honest with me and kept me informed about how he was doing. They took the time to talk things through and answer questions, which meant a lot to both me and the rest of our family during such an emotion

Reply from Andreea Lupu, Home Manager at Seven Hills Nursing HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review. We are truly sorry for your loss, and we feel honoured that we were able to care for your brother during such an important time.

Your kind words about the compassion, dignity, and personalised care shown by our team mean a great deal to us. We understand how difficult this period must have been for you and your family, and we are glad that we could provide some comfort and reassurance.

It is especially meaningful to hear that you felt well informed and supported throughout, as open and honest communication is something we deeply value.

We will be sure to share your words with the team, who will be very touched to know the difference they made. Thank you again for your trust in us during such a challenging time.

Best wishes,
Andreea

My dad has been resident at Seven Hills for the past 4 months. From the initial visit up to the present day the level of care has been excellent. The staff are wonderful. There is a consistency to the staff members which I believe is quite telling. They really do seem to care about the residents. I
really feel my dad is cared for with dignity and respect.

Visited Magdalen (in a rehabilitation placement) as it was her son's wedding day and she was too ill to attend, so we were surprising her with an afternoon tea and video link to the service. All staff, particularly Caron, the activities co-ordinator, were amazing. Polite, friendly, professional, going
the extra mile to support us in making Magdalen's day as special as it could be under the circumstances. It was really positive to find Magdalen in a chair aerobics class too on arrival! Simply first-class.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Darnall View was recommended to us last year when we needed to find a suitable home for Mum who has Alzheimer's, and there was some comfort in knowing people we know had such a good opinion of it.
Mum, whilst her illness has progressed, is settled and content in the home.
She is encouraged to join
in activities and the time is taken to find out about / do things that she is interested in.
Her health and personal care needs are well looked after and she is safe there which are the primary concerns a family could have when searching for care placements.
Since moving into Darnall View, Mums physical care needs have increased and the team have ensured suitable plans and care are in place to support her.
The staff are always friendly (to residents and visitors), interacting with residents, available if anything is needed and keep the family updated of anything of note or any changes.

A Sanctuary of Dignity and Heart
"Choosing a care home for a loved one with dementia is one of the hardest decisions a family can make, but from the moment we stepped inside, we knew we had found something special.
What strikes you immediately isn't just the cleanliness of the facility, but the appearance
and spirit of the residents. It is incredibly moving to see faces that truly reflect the high standards of care being provided. Our loved one-and indeed everyone we saw-was impeccably dressed, well-groomed, and, most importantly, looked genuinely 'seen' and valued.
The staff here don't just 'manage' dementia; they lead with profound empathy and commitment. You can see it in the patient smiles, the gentle touch, and the way they preserve the dignity of every individual in care. It is a massive relief to know that even when the mind fades, the person is still treated with the utmost respect.
A massive THANK YOU you to the entire team for your hard and rewarding work.

In the short time my mum has been here, she has made a massive improvement.
She was so depressed and withdrawn when she went in. She has made so many friends with residents and staff and has picked up tremendously. She is so happy and told me she doesn't want to leave. Mum always said she didn't want
to go in a care home. Mum says she feels safe.

My father is a difficult chap at times and his condition leads him to believe he is a lot more capable than he is. The staff at Seven Hills handle his idiosyncrasies and inconsistent behaviours with dignity and care. It is obvious that they really empathise with him and provide for him with tolerance

My mother was admitted to Darnall Grange for rehabilitation following a very nasty fall. She has had excellent care and has gone from being unable to walk to being mobile with a frame in 3 weeks and is now back home. The carers have been excellent, very kind, always supervising residents in the lounge.
Great efforts were made to maintain hydration with fluid/drinks always available. The quality of food was good and appropriate. The home was spotless with cleaners present all the time. The overalll care was excellent.

Happy with overall care. Staff are generally very caring, warm and responsive. Facilities could be better eg more spaces for visitors but my father is very settled there and I feel he is in good hands. It would be nice if there was more outside space/gardens etc. Communication from staff and management
and nursing team is very good. Our concerns are listened to and acted on. Would recommend.

Bright and warm common areas (I haven't seen the bedrooms). They've added some nice features, like relaxing lights in the quiet room.
