Seven Hills Nursing Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My father stayed at Seven Hills for 2 months before he sadly passed. The staff were exceptional in their dealings with him and with us. They treated us all with kindness and compassion and looked after his every need. Nothing was too much trouble. Knowing he was being looked after with such care, was
a great comfort to us.
Reply from Andreea Lupu, Home Manager at Seven Hills Nursing HomeDear Jason,

Thank you very much for your kind words. It truly means a lot to our team to know that the care we provided made a positive difference to your experience. We are committed to supporting our patients with compassion, professionalism, and respect, and your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Wishing you all the very best, and thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts.

Darnall View was recommended to us last year when we needed to find a suitable home for Mum who has Alzheimer's, and there was some comfort in knowing people we know had such a good opinion of it.
Mum, whilst her illness has progressed, is settled and content in the home.
She is encouraged to join
in activities and the time is taken to find out about / do things that she is interested in.
Her health and personal care needs are well looked after and she is safe there which are the primary concerns a family could have when searching for care placements.
Since moving into Darnall View, Mums physical care needs have increased and the team have ensured suitable plans and care are in place to support her.
The staff are always friendly (to residents and visitors), interacting with residents, available if anything is needed and keep the family updated of anything of note or any changes.

Our dad has settled into Swinton Grange really well. He is starting to build some lovely relationships with the staff. Janet and her team are great and put the residents needs first. Janet is on hand to answer any concerns we might have, not that there has been many, and puts our minds at rest instantly.
Well done Swinton Grange you should be proud of the service you give x

A Sanctuary of Dignity and Heart
"Choosing a care home for a loved one with dementia is one of the hardest decisions a family can make, but from the moment we stepped inside, we knew we had found something special.
What strikes you immediately isn't just the cleanliness of the facility, but the appearance
and spirit of the residents. It is incredibly moving to see faces that truly reflect the high standards of care being provided. Our loved one-and indeed everyone we saw-was impeccably dressed, well-groomed, and, most importantly, looked genuinely 'seen' and valued.
The staff here don't just 'manage' dementia; they lead with profound empathy and commitment. You can see it in the patient smiles, the gentle touch, and the way they preserve the dignity of every individual in care. It is a massive relief to know that even when the mind fades, the person is still treated with the utmost respect.
A massive THANK YOU you to the entire team for your hard and rewarding work.

In the short time my mum has been here, she has made a massive improvement.
She was so depressed and withdrawn when she went in. She has made so many friends with residents and staff and has picked up tremendously. She is so happy and told me she doesn't want to leave. Mum always said she didn't want
to go in a care home. Mum says she feels safe.
Reply from Kelly Green, Manager at White Rose CourtThank you very much for taking the time to give us such great feedback. We value our families feedback as much as our residents. Thank you again for your kind words. It makes us happy to know your mum is happy here with us.

My father is a difficult chap at times and his condition leads him to believe he is a lot more capable than he is. The staff at Seven Hills handle his idiosyncrasies and inconsistent behaviours with dignity and care. It is obvious that they really empathise with him and provide for him with tolerance
and kindness. Catherine, his key worker, clearly understands where he is and is compassionate in the care she provides. Its a lovely place for him to be.

My mother was admitted to Darnall Grange for rehabilitation following a very nasty fall. She has had excellent care and has gone from being unable to walk to being mobile with a frame in 3 weeks and is now back home. The carers have been excellent, very kind, always supervising residents in the lounge.
Great efforts were made to maintain hydration with fluid/drinks always available. The quality of food was good and appropriate. The home was spotless with cleaners present all the time. The overalll care was excellent.
Reply from Akbar Ali, Manager at Darnall Grange Care HomeThank you for your kind feedback. We are pleased to hear that your mother received excellent care and support during her rehabilitation, and that her recovery enabled her to return home safely. Your comments have been shared with the team, who will be encouraged by your appreciation of their care, kindness, and professionalism.

Happy with overall care. Staff are generally very caring, warm and responsive. Facilities could be better eg more spaces for visitors but my father is very settled there and I feel he is in good hands. It would be nice if there was more outside space/gardens etc. Communication from staff and management
and nursing team is very good. Our concerns are listened to and acted on. Would recommend.
Reply from Doina Sfintescu, Manager at Seven Hills Nursing HomeThank you very much for your kind review. We are so pleased to hear that you are happy with the care provided to your father. It is our main priority to make sure all our residents are looked after well, according to their personal needs and with respect and dignity, whilst we deliver the highest quality care standards. We love communicating with families to ensure they are kept up to date on how their loved ones are getting on in the home.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated and will be shared with the staff.

Best wishes, from all of us at Sevenhills Nursing Home.

Bright and warm common areas (I haven't seen the bedrooms). They've added some nice features, like relaxing lights in the quiet room. The staff all seem nice and have a pleasant manner with the residents, who always have a cup of tea to hand! It seems to be secure, with locks on all external doors and
an entry procedure for visitors.

My Aunt went to Seven Hills after some difficult times in other care homes. The level of training and knowledge within the care team at Seven Hills has been shown to be superior. For example, they are able to recognise signs that my aunt may be becoming distressed and take action to distract her from
it or move her to a quieter environment. This has helped to prevent the types of incidents that occurred at previous homes. We can also see that she relates well to the care staff.
The home is kept very clean. There are no unpleasant smells at this care home. Full marks to the team.

Quality of Mum's care is excellent. All of the carers are kind, friendly and attentive. Mum has her favourites and smiles when she seems them. Residence is clean, smells lovely and well cared for. I'm always informed of any changes or potential concerns with regard to mum's health and well-being. Staff
also contact me if mum needs any new items of clothing or spends for hairdresser etc. She seems to be happy at Aaron House and always looked forward to her lovely meals and treats. More than happy to recommend Aaron House as a really lovely residential care home for those with dementia.
