It's a different time in peoples lives to transition to a care home, but I can honestly say that the management and staff at Aden View have been first class. Professional but also with compassion and humour. Kim has been very helpful with addressing any issues we've had, and also giving sound advice.
A nice place all in all, which I'd recommend. Thank you!

A few weeks ago, I had to make the most heart-wrenching decision of my life, to move Mum into a care home permanently. The very thought of a care home used to break my heart, it felt like I would be failing her, like I would be taking away her independence. And then we found Aden View Care Home, they
made the transition to care home so easy, the staff are wonderful and I will never forget how welcoming and kind they are. Mum has settled so well there, she is thriving. For mum, it's not the end, it's the beginning of a new chapter. Thankyou for everything!

I have found at Aden View staff take time to get to know each individual. They learn what they like and don't like and just as important what they want to talk about. My husband has been treated at all times with dignity and respect. Everything runs well and there is a big effort in trying to involve
everyone in activities. Visitors are welcomed, including young children - a lovely place.

Veyr happy with the care my father receives. He tells me all the care staff are helpful and friendly and he feels safe at all times. He is very happy with the food (plenty) and warm caring atmosphere. I too have found staff to be friendly, helpful and attentive. If there are any issues, the staff contact
me straight away. I would happily recommend this care home to anyone.

My wife was accepted into Aden View in September 2024 and unfortunately passed away April 2025, I cannot find words to describe my delight at the care, compassion love and kindness that my wife received, my heartfelt thanks and those of my family go out to the manager and all her staff for all they
did to make my wifes passage through Alzheimers as painless as possible. These are the true feelings of a grieving husband who could not have coped without their support. Believe me they put everything on the line for their residents and if your loved ones need care and they can get a place at Aden View grab it before anyone else does.

Aden View Care Home is a brilliant care home to volunteer in, the staff at Aden View are welcoming and a joy to be around when volunteering around the care home. The facilities of the care home are second to none and facilitate every resident so their needs are met. The rooms of the care home are exceptional
and give a personal space for the residents to sleep and have their own homely decorations in. The choice of different food served at meal times is also impressive with the amount of choice the residents get and gives lots of credit to the kitchen staff who work so hard to provide these meals. The overall smoothness in how the care home is run is tremendous and the interprofessional teamwork of all the staff is great to give a great experience for the residents. The manager of the care home shows the greatness of the care home with their hard work ethic in providing a great experience for the residents. The manager is a credit to the care home!

I am a registered nurse with 38 years experience and when I entered the home on 15/12/2024 I found it to be very clean and did not smell of urine which many I've been in have done. The carers were doing numerous jobs with it being an open day but they helped on the stalls, they were helping the residents
visit the stalls and making choices and talking to them. I was very impressed with how the care team multitasked but still had plenty of time to help visitors and clientele. Well done to all the staff and management for their work. I just wish I wasn't retired because I would be applying for a job.

My wife of 63 years was admitted to Aden View in April of this year. Prior to her moving, my family and I were impressed with the care and attention given to us and my wife, so that the move was stress-free as possible. Since then, I continue to admire the way she is looked after in a warm, caring and
efficient manner, where her needs, mental and physical are being met by all the staff and where she is treated and valued as an individual.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.781)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.781) out of 10 for Aden View Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 18 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.831 for Aden View Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (177 Excellents x 5) + (36 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 213 Ratings = 4.831
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.95 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Aden View Care Home is based on 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.95
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 46 registered maximum number of service users is 9.2, which has been reached with 18 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
