Newlands Hall residential care home provide permanent long-term care as well as short-term options that offers a welcoming, warm and comfortable place to stay.

At the Newlands Hall, the approach to care is the same as in other homes managed by Regency Healthcare. The home is registered for 30 residents.

Newlands Hall is furnished to a good standard throughout, with spacious rooms and quite lounges for residents where they can meet chat or simply have quite time in cosy chairs. There are books and magazines available for residents. All lounges are equipped with TVs for residents as well as catering for other activities. /the delicious home cooked meals are served in the beautifully panelled dining rooms. However, residents have the choice to have their meals served in their own rooms. All the bedrooms are bright and airy and attractively decorated. There are double rooms for couples or those who wish to share.

The home has a well-maintained garden with safe access to the main gate. The on-site parking is available for residents and visitors.

My Mum went into Newlands Hall from Dewsbury Hospital. The staff were amazing at the home. Excellent care, can't fault them at all. Mum was very happy to be home and everyone thought mum was amazing. Every member of staff were great. Mum took to one of the Careers and he quickly became her fourth Grandson.
Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a place that really cares.

My mum has been in this care home for 16 months. We as a family are very pleased with her care, the attention she gets from the staff is brilliant. They are a very caring and lovely bunch of people. I hope she ends her days being looked after by lovely staff. The cleanliness is also very good. I have
never walked into Newlands and smelt urine ever. It is a very clean care home.

Staff very friendly and when I call always know where my auntie is and staff recognise me now too.
Always smiling, my aunt looks so much healthier here, I know it's only respite but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Mum was looked after at Newlands Hall Care Home for 8 years. Throughout all those years I have always felt she was lovingly cared for which put my mind at rest with the very upsetting and difficult situation of my mother needing more and more help after developing vascular dementia. As Mum approached
end of life in January this year I couldn't have wished for a more caring, considerate and loving staff. They showed great sympathy and love to me and my family at this very difficult time. They did everything possible to care for her to the very end and I cannot thank them enough.

Newlands staff are lovely. Really impressed with how they are taking care of my mum. Nothing is too much trouble. Even though Mum is suffering badly with dementia and is challenging at times, staff always treat her with respect. I am more than happy with the care she receiving.

Pleasantly surprised at everything in the home.
I had to (reluctantly) move into the home due to needing a facility that provided an environment where I could remain non-weight baring until my fracture healed.
I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

This is the 3rd home my dad has been in, but Newlands is the only home he has settled in. I am absolutely delighted with the care my dad is receiving. The care is second to none and the carers are wonderful and communicative. The care he receives makes me able to relax as I know my dad is fine and being
looked after.

The only complaint I have is there is not enough staff!
My husband stays in bed all day due to a shortage of staff. He needs someone with him all the time.

My mother was a resident at Newlands Hall for twelve months. She was not the easiest resident to deal with suffering from a brain tumour/dementia. The staff have been excellent in their treatment and care of her and I have only the highest regard for them all. They were not just a comfort to my mother
but to us also, cannot thank them enough.

Very bad experiences. Lack of communication.
Not always clean. Not suitable for Dementia Residents. Lack of care.
Staff heard to shout at Residents causing them to be upset.
Personal hygiene took a lot to be called for. On regular visits, I had to personally clean my relative.
Between his toes,
I had to scrape the dirt yet he was supposed to have been showered.
He had poo on both hands and was told it was his dinner!
For 6 weeks bushes were climbing to the top of his bedroom window so no view out and had to put a light on. No working TV, for months after the remote control disappeared. Overall not fit for purpose.

We are deeply sorry you feel this way and that you didn’t have a positive experience with your husband’s stay with us. We take all feedback very seriously and always welcome comments which would further improve the quality of the care.
Our care staff are continually checking and caring for everyone in the home. The home has a group of housekeepers who work very hard to make sure everything is clean. Due to the challenging/aggressive behaviour and as triggered for EMI resident, this gentleman’s personal hygiene was catered for several times a day by care staff. When he left our care, he was clean. Unfortunately, there are times when a person’s needs change and they can no longer be safely cared for in a particular setting, despite all efforts. Once again, we are very sorry that you feel the experience did not meet your expectations.
