My dad is a resident and receives a high level of care, staff to resident ratios are good, and my dad even gets to be escorted to church. He is well looked after and he enjoys the food, staff are always happy to put any suggestions into place, nothing is too much trouble for them, I was impressed from day 1 whan Aimee came to do an assessment before dads admission,

I can't recommend Hollys Care Home highly enough. The staff are consistently kind, caring, compassionate and incredibly hard-working. They go above and beyond every single day, treating every resident with dignity, respect and genuine warmth.

The management team are fantastic-always approachable, supportive and committed to providing the very best care. They not only look after their residents but also offer reassurance and support to families, which means so much.

Knowing my family member is in such safe and caring hands gives us complete peace of mind. If you're looking for a care home where your loved one will be truly cared for, Hollys Care Home is a wonderful choice. Thank you to the entire team for everything you do.

My mum has been a resident for 9 months and has always been treated with care and compassion. The Hollies encourage the residents to take part in daily activities at their own pace and capabilities. When I visit, everyone is friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble: management are always available to listen and act upon any worries or concerns about my mum's condition.

I'm so grateful for the care my nana receives at this home. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely caring, and it's clear they truly want to be there. They treat residents with kindness, patience, and respect, which gives our family real peace of mind. There are always activities taking place, helping residents stay engaged, social, and happy. My nana is encouraged to join in and enjoy her days, which means a lot to us. Communication is excellent too - we're always contacted if there are any incidents or concerns, and the staff keep us well informed and reassured. It's comforting to know she's in a safe, supportive environment where her wellbeing is a priority. We're so happy with the care provided and would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a place where their loved one will be truly looked after and valued every day.

My mother moved to the Hollies after a spell somewhere else which she did not enjoy. She is much happier now and my brother and I are 100% confident that she is in the best place for her, that she is secure, safe and well cared for. The staff are lovely, endlessly patient and very welcoming - nothing is too much trouble. The management are very responsive and helpful too, the facility is spotlessly clean (I am a CQC registered manager and I know what I am looking for!) and we have seen an enormous pick up in appetite due to the excellent, home cooked catering. We are very grateful to the whole team there for the care she is receiving, which is personalised to her and the team have gone to a lot of trouble to understand her, her needs and her personality and interest - the relatively small size of the home means the staff have the time to do this. Thanks to everyone at the Hollies.

My mum was a resident at The Hollies for a short time throughout June 2025. We want to pass on our sincere appreciation for the excellent care mum received from all the staff and management team during her stay. All the team made it their business to make sure they understood what she needed and when, which was extremely challenging with her health status. Her safety and comfort was always the priority. From the first contact with The Hollies Manager, to mums moving day and throughout her stay, everything was absolutely straightforward. The management team are highly responsive, professional and respectful. We can't be more thankful for the care received, both for my mum and for my dad as he experienced this major life challenge as well.

Thank you to each and everyone of The Hollies staff and broader Garforth Care Homes team.

The Hollies is a lovely 28 bed residential care home. It feels like a family home environment with it being a smaller care home. Thats definitely what I liked as it's more individualised.
They have activity coordinators who plan loads of daily activities and entertainment for the residents.
They provide lovely home cooked meals that are cooked fresh and they use good quality products..
They have family meetings usually every 2/3 months to ask if there's anything they could be doing better or just to keep you updated on what's going on in the home.
The GP visits weekly and they have a hairdresser and a chiropodist who come regularly.

The manager is great as are the care staff. They are very approachable and accommodating. They want to hear the residents and their families/friend's opinions and are always open to any new ideas to improve an already great care home. Most importantly my mum is very happy safe and well cared for living there.

My dad has been a resident here for approx 12 months. I often ask him how he feels and without prompting he says 'they are kind to me here and help me'.... I couldn't really ask for anything more!

When I have had any concerns / questions they are answered quickly and efficiently.

We chose The Hollies for Mum because of the way it felt. It may not be a modern, purpose-built place but the staff make it feel like home.

They are kind, personable and friendly and have the residents' best interests at heart. It is stressful placing a loved one in care but if we had to choose again, we would choose The Hollies.

My dad has lived at The Hollies Garforth for nearly 5 years. He is happy and very settled. The staff are all fantastic and provide loving and holistic care. They treat each resident with dignity patience and respect.
My dad has dementia and has had ups and downs with his condition, especially in the last 12 months requiring lots of meetings with social services.
The care home manager has been fantastic! She's been a wonderful support to me as well as a fantastic voice and advocate for my dad. I really can't thank her enough, it's truly obvious how much she cares for the residents and treats them like a member of her own family.
The home is beautiful inside and the food is amazing, my dad comments every time I visit how he enjoys it.
The home has activities every day which are good for mind stimulation but are also fun and interesting.

I feel truly comforted and assured my dad is safe and getting well looked after. Thank you to all the staff you're all amazing.

Hollies is an excellent care home. My mum is very happy here. The staff are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. They are caring, compassionate, friendly and welcome me and my family every time we visit. There is a lovely atmosphere and mum's room is always immaculate. The management and senior care assistants are professional, friendly and very approachable. It is a very well-managed care home with lots of fun activities arranged regularly. Never a dull moment. Aimee Job Title:ManagerJoined: 2022

I have worked within the care industry for 29 years and am currently undertaking a Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care Leadership and Management.

I have a passion for ensuring that person centred care is delivered to all that are living within the service I am employed in, as it is their home that we are working in. I promote residents’ independence as much as possible because “if you don’t use it you lose it”., and encourage the staff to work in the same way.

I train staff in dementia care techniques, such as if a resident becomes agitated or upset at times, this is probably a distress reaction and there is normally a reason as to why that person has become distressed. We then work out, as a team, why they are distressed and what their possible triggers are. We share what works and what hasn't, to better care for our residents.

The Hollie’s is such a homely home, and I look forward to coming to work every day as each day is never the same.
