There are individuals within that team who went so far beyond the call of duty. Their tenderness, patience, and genuine love for the people in their care left an impression on our family that we will carry with us always.
The care Dad received was exceptional in every sense - attentive, professional, and deeply human. Especially when he was receiving end of life care.
We always felt informed, included, and reassured. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We can't recommend Carleton Court highly enough.
Thank you for the bottom of our hearts for the great care you gave to dad
Thank you for taking time out of this difficult time to leave a review. I will inform our staff of your kind words, he was highly thought of by all and brought such energy to our home. He will be missed
The friendliness and professionalism of all the staff put our minds at ease and made Mums stay a pleasant experience, providing her with the safety, security and peace of mind she needed at this stage of her life.
The team went above and beyond what was expected, responding to and dealing with her physical and mental health needs promptly, often in partnership with relevant others.
She took part in a range of activities, outings and events that she never would never have done at home.
Sadly Mum passed away mid January 2026 and it gave us peace of mind knowing that in her final days she was with people who truly cared, who supported both her and us as a family at what was a very difficult time.
I highly recommend Carleton Court to anyone considering residential care.
Your kind words will be passed on to our hard working and caring staff. Your mum was always appreciative to staff for the help and support they gave her. Her very dry sense of humour will be missed
My husband is getting the best care any one would wish for their loved ones to receive. The staff are caring have time to spend with the residents and spend time making sure they are happy and well supported. The food is excellent the rooms are always immaculate and comfortable. Christmas festivities are great. I never leave my husband after a visit unhappy with the care and love he gets.
We are so pleased that you are happy with the care that your husband is receiving. Thank you for your kind words, our staff do go above and beyond to make sure that our residents have great care, respecting dignity and choice
Mum has been a resident for over 3 years. When we needed to find residential care for her, we did our homework and chose Carleton Court as we liked it's caring ethos. We as a family have been very impressed throughout mum's time there, particularly by the caring staff and management team. During mum's recent illness - her third - the staff could not have been kinder or more attentive to her and this extended to us, her family. I have recommended Caroleton Court to other families, who have been similarly impressed. Thank you Carleton Court.
Thank you, your kind words mean so much to our hard working staff. Thank you for taking the time for this review. Registered manger
My father in law moved to Carleton court May 2025 , he spent just over 4 weeks there unfortunately due to his illness he wasn't suited to the home so has since moved , the management were onboard from the start and very honest , during his stay they followed up everything we asked of them and more , from the domestic , kitchen staff to the carers , seniors and maintenance man they were all friendly kind and caring towards us and my father in law , contact was second to none and we were involved from the start
Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. This means a great deal and I will pass on your gratitude to the staff. We hope your father in law does well in his new home. Kind Regards
Mum took up residence at Carleton Court in October 2023 and lived there until her passing in November 2024. During her time there, the care and love she received was first class and as a family we had no concerns over how she was looked after. We were kept informed of any issues arising at all times and involved in any decision making. There was a good choice of food and there were staff constantly cleaning everywhere. There were activities going on at the house for residents but despite their efforts to get mum to join in she always declined.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review and for your kind words. We are proud that our staff do such an amazing job.
My Dad went into Carleton Court in January 2024 initially for respite care. He was suffering from dementia and other medical conditions and after suffering a few falls, he was hospitalised for several weeks. I was delighted that we were able to place my Dad at the home to help him recover and, hopefully, make this a permanent solution for him to enjoy his twilight days. This is a truly wonderful care home that is very clean, homely and well-maintained. I found the staff to be kind, and caring and have their residents' needs at the centre of everything that they do. There was always plenty of staff on duty and it was clear to me from my regular visits that the residents are happy and enjoy living at the home from the smiles and conversations at the home. There is a lot of love in this place. Sadly, my dad passed away unexpectedly on 19th February, but I have nothing but praise for the home and the lovely team at Carleton Court. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
Thank you for your kind words and the time taken to complete a review. We only wish that we had had more time with your dad. I will inform our amazing staff of your lovely review.
My mum went into Carleton Court Care Home in December 2022, it was initially for respite care over Christmas but she settled so well we decided to make it permanent. The owners and staff at the home are all lovely and caring people and all my mum's needs were met. My mum had a heart condition and a doctor was called when needed and Mum had a specialist heat nurse going in to see her. The home kept us up to date all the time with text messages and phone calls. We would highly recommend Carleton Court Care Home. Mum died on the 23rd of March 2023.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review for us, it means a lot to the staff who work so very hard. It also helps other families in similar positions to make a decision about placing their loved one into care.
It gives me great pleasure to write this review for Carleton Care Home. Our dear mum needed emergency respite care with a view to becoming a permanent resident. Mum was assessed and accepted into their care. We were so anxious about placing Mum into a Care Home, it was something that we never wanted or envisaged having to do. However, our fears were quickly allayed! Mum settled instantly and that was down to the most wonderful, kind, caring staff and management. Nothing was too much trouble. Mum was safe, warm, well fed and monitored around the clock. She was made to feel so welcome from the moment we walked through the door. Mum loved engaging with residents and staff and loved how warm, friendly and professional they were. Mum felt physically and physiologically safe and secure. All her needs were being met. She really enjoyed all her meals and treats and she made friends very easily. Carleton Court turned out to be Mum's last, but best chapter. She was so very happy there.
Thank you so very much for taking the time to complete your review and for your kind words. We are glad we were able to make a difference for your mum.
In 2011 my mother went to live in Carleton Court Care Home at the age of 86 and suffering from osteoporosis. The care was excellent as were the staff and accommodation. When in 2019 my elderly cousin could no longer manage on her own, I had no hesitation in contacting the manager at Carleton Court who quickly made a room available and we are experiencing the same level of care and support. I have also recommended and 92-year-old friend who is now settled in Carleton Court Care Home.
Thank you for taking the time to review us. Thank you for your kind words. I will pass this on to the staff.
My mum lived in the care home for almost two years before she sadly passed away. On her arrival at Carleton Court Care Home, her mental health and overall health vastly improved. All of the staff are kind, compassionate, efficient and supportive, nothing is too much trouble. Management are excellent, friendly, professional and extremely helpful. I will be forever grateful for the care and love Mum received, I couldn't have asked for more. A wonderful place and very highly recommended.
Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time out to give us a review.
For the final period of my dad's life, I could not have wished for a happier, more home-from-home place to be cared for than Carleton Court Care Home. I knew that my dad was being cared for 24 hours by a wonderful team who put residents first! And also their family. Nothing was too much trouble if there were any queries. My dad was happy with the company of other residents and activities and well looked after to end of life.
Thank you for taking the time to complete the review. I will pass your kind words on to our staff.
Carleton Court Care Home far exceeded our expectations. The care my dad received was beyond outstanding. Every single member of staff, no matter what their status was, showed care and understanding beyond measure. Nothing was too much trouble even when you could tell they were pressed for time being very busy. I would recommend Carleton Court to anyone and everyone.
Thank you Ann for taking the time to complete a review. It really helps others when they are looking for a placement/respite.
Mum was 90 and in the early stages of dementia when she moved into Carleton Court Care Home in 2019. She settled in straightaway and quickly formed a heart-warming friendship with another resident, who also had dementia. The only anxiety she ever expressed was that she might have to move elsewhere. Carleton Court has a warm, happy atmosphere and a marvellous team of cheerful, sympathetic, quietly-competent staff who always have time for you no matter how busy they may be. It's obvious that they genuinely care about the residents and that it's more than "just a job" for them. As Mum's sad decline inevitably progressed, her increasing needs were met without any fuss and with deep compassion and thoughtfulness. Her final days were calm, comfortable and peaceful - and everything you could hope for. We will be eternally grateful that Mum found such a safe and secure haven when she needed it most and that her last few years have been brightened with so much fun and laughter.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I will pass them on to the staff. They do an excellent job and go above and beyond. That recognition will be gratefully received.
It has always been our direct experience that the staff at Carleton Court go above and beyond in the care they offer and that hasn't changed in spite of the restrictions and additional pressures that Covid-19 created for them. Our relative has remained happy, comfortable and safe throughout, we are very grateful to them all.
Thank you so much for your kind words. The staff have done an amazing job and they will welcome the recognition of their hard work.
I had my first visit in the new garden room 2 weeks ago which was so special. Upon arrival I mentioned to Rod that my grandmother was hoping to have a cup of tea with me, I explained I had brought along a cream cake for us and asked if he could make us a cup of tea. Not only did he make us a lovely cup of tea he also provided plates with doilies and a knife, it really helped to make our day very special. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the home always put the residents first. I am confident my grandmother is in the very best place, she is safe, warm, fed, watered, very much cared for and very happy.
It is very important that everyone is seen and cared for as the individuals they are. Thank very much for your kind and thoughtful comments!
I felt such an overwhelming sense of relief that we had found this care home as Dad was treated with such dignity and respect at such a difficult time and nothing was too much trouble.
As a family, we cannot thank all the staff enough for their hard work and dedication and we would definitely recommend Carleton Court to anyone who needs to be cared for.
We try extremely hard to see and care for the individual. We look at everyone’s situation with empathy and compassion, and deliver care the is appropriate to them. Your dad was no exception, we wish we had met him sooner and in better health. God bless him
During this frightening time during the coronavirus pandemic, we are so grateful that she is being so well cared for and we have no worries she is happy and receiving the best care. We are kept well informed of the ever-changing situation and we as a family always sing the praises of the home and would recommend it without reservation. Mum will have been a resident for the last 5 years and we chose it for her for its locality, the lovely home and gardens and the Christian ethics and respect of its residents, giving them care and their personal dignity. Thank you to all at Carlton Court.
Kind words of encouragement indeed. Matthew 25: 'When did we do these things for you'? Jesus said 'When you did it for the least of these my brothers and sisters, you did it for me'.
The staff were very considerate, kind and extremely caring to her, it was her first-ever visit into respite care.
I could not fault this care home at all and would not hesitate to use this care home again.
I cannot thank them enough for the help received, which was at very short notice.
They were so very understanding.
Thank you.
Found the staff to be very welcoming and caring towards the residents. Took time to talk to both residents and relatives. Feels homely when you walk in.
