My stepdad was given a place at Vicarage Court on discharge from hospital for end of life care. The staff here are lovely and cant do enough. They are very patient with him and treat him with the dignity that he deserves. I am very grateful to them all for the service they are providing to him. Thank
you all.

My mum went into Vicarage Court and end of life. The staff and management made the last week with mum so much easier. The care and attention to mums needs went above and beyond. All the staff were very approachable and caring not only for mum but for the whole family. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend
this place to anyone.

Mum was in for end of life care for 2 weeks in which time we found all the staff to be professional and caring. The only negative I can find is the environment was very noisy, that said if I was in mums position I would happily use this care home.

Grandfather entered the home with Alzheimer's disease & bed bound with limited hearing & visual capabilities. He was deemed to be terminally ill & we did not expect him to survive more than a few weeks, but courtesy of the care and attention of all of the staff who catered for all his needs in a professional
manner, he survived for 3 months before passing in late August and we could not fault anyone.
The care was at a extremely high standard with the owner regularly on site & interacting with residents, as well as more staff on hand than residents meaning each person like my grandfather gets 24/7 care to a high level.

Vicarage Court welcomed my mum in September 2022. The home was bright sunny clean comfortable and safe. Every member of staff would smile and say hello when I visited and mum settled down quickly. The nursing staff understood my mums needs and always kept me informed. Mum was bed-bound but had a constant
stream of staff calling into her room. Laundry, tea lady, personal care, cleaners and nurses all treated mum as though her room was her home. Mum felt safe, this left me comforted when I drove away that she was exceptionally well cared for. Thank you.

The manager of Vicarage Court runs a very tight ship but with great compassion. My husband was in Vicarage Court care due to lack of care in the another facility, my husband was unable to leave his room for the whole of his 2 1/2 year stay and the staff were lovely trying to involve him and myself in
things happening in the home- when he passed away in February staff were caring and supportive to myself and our family.

Vicarage Court is not just a care home. All the staff treat the residents as if they are their family. I cannot express enough how they are all so friendly. They all have hearts of gold.
In fact, I'm booking a room for when/if I need one.
Vicarage Court and staff should have 5 stars at the side of
their name.

My mother was a resident at the Vicarage Court for 15 months and everything about her care was exceptional. The staff all made sure that her time there was as good as it possibly could be. It was her home. Everyone went above and beyond with her and they were like family to her. Cannot praise everyone
highly enough.

I have always found staff to be professional, caring and personable. They have assisted my mother to settle and take time out, even just a couple of minutes to 'see how she is' or talk to her. The daily activities are one of the things I think have helped my mum. I have been able to be reassured that
Mum is looked after so I can be a daughter again and be supportive of her. They are very caring, also very supportive of me. The staff who enable and organise the leisure activities do a good job and allow me to take part also.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.818) out of 10 for Vicarage Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 23 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 23 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.818 for Vicarage Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (223 Excellents x 5) + (43 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 269 Ratings = 4.818
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Vicarage Court Care Home is based on 23 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 80 registered maximum number of service users is 16, which has been reached with 23 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
