All the staff are very welcoming at Vicarage Court Care Home, the residents seem well looked after. The staff are smartly dressed always. The residents have lots of entertainment and activities to do daily (the activity organiser is fab and goes out of her way) The staff always go above and beyond for the residents and visitors. Food always smells lovely. Thank you for everything you do for our uncle.

Our experience of Vicarage Court was one of the greatest examples of how to care for vulnerable people I have ever experienced - it restored my faith in human kindness and humbled us all. Even though our experience was short, every single member of staff we met went well beyond what was required of their role and displayed real concern for our welfare and my Mother’s. I know you have all helped our family with exceptional professionalism and real compassion in our hour of need and I thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

Mum was unhappy living alone. There was loneliness and increasing physical frailty. Her mental state was deteriorating. Moving to Vicarage Court has turned this around. She is much more confident, more communicative and benefiting from 24 hour care. Previous denial about the need to move into care has become wholehearted acceptance. The staff are wonderful! Due to Covid restrictions some aspects of the home, e.g rooms, cannot be reviewed.

My sister was transferred to Vicarage Court from hospital for palliative care. The quality of her care has been excellent. All her requirements and requests have been met, staff are cheerful, caring and considerate. Her room is spotlessly clean, light and airy. Delicious meals. Vicarage Court deserves top marks.

My husband had a week’s respite at the Vicarage Court Care Home. This was the first time my husband had been in respite and was looked after so well I will book again. The staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble.

Review from David L (Friend of Resident) published on 9 July 2021 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

The staff and management, in my experience, are excellent. They seem to go that extra mile to make residents comfortable and content during their stay, treating everyone as an individual. My friend was able to settle into a routine which suites her, and despite considerable difficulty with mobility, she was still able to enjoy her life here. I would strongly recommend this cate home to family and friends.

We were very happy and pleased as a family with the care of my sister over the past 7 years. The amount of love and care shown from all the staff to my sister was very obvious to see. And they are thanked from the bottom of my heart.

Always felt welcome and never worried that Ma wasn't getting well looked after. The staff felt more like friends than carers or nurses, they didn't just care for Ma, they cared about her. Her last few years were difficult for her but I can't imagine anywhere I would have rather her be. Some special people work there and I am glad to have met them.

Glad we chose Vicarage Court Care Home for Mum when she needed nursing care. You couldn't wish for more caring people. During her three and a half year stay, she enjoyed the entertainment put on and liked to join in the things she was able to. Rooms kept spotless, and clothes laundered every day. At end of life, carers were brilliant, nothing too much trouble and very supportive of the family.

My mum has been a resident at Vicarage Court for the past 4 years. I cannot fault any of the care or facilities here. During the last few weeks of her life, she was treated with kindness and dignity and on her final breath, the spoke kind words and held her hand no one could wish for more.

Thank you to everyone who cared for my mum.

Taking good care of Mum, who has dementia. Sending her to care was a difficult decision, to say the least, especially with the covid situation. The visitor pod is amazing, such a welcome addition and makes the world of difference.

When my mother first came into the home in 2013, she was the happiest she had been since my father past away. She was laughing, joking and made new friends. She was well cared for, and the staff were wonderful with her. I would recommend the home.
