Vicarage Court gave excellent care to my sister from December 2015 to her going to hospital recently. Staff were superb, friendly and encouraging in all aspects of her care for my sister. Meals were tasty and satisfying. Carers encouraged my sister to eat and ensured she had enough to drink at all times.
Management were efficient and extremely helpful in managing fees.

Very happy with the care of my parents. I had many reservations about putting my parents into care, however they settled in very well thanks to the hard work of the staff at Vicarage Court. The staff are excellent. You can always speak to the unit managers 7 days a week.
The facilities are excellent
and the gardens are large. The owners are very helpful.
A lot of activities keep my parents busy from Tai Chi, gardening club, sing yourself happy classes, memory books, dance club, and regular parties.

My cousin entered Vicarage Court in poor condition. After a short time, she really improved mentally and physically after receiving excellent care.
The staff have always been most welcoming to us and my cousin received lots of care and attention. She made friends and blossomed due to the care and
the kindness that she received.
The food the clients receive is lovely fresh home cooking and presented really well. Facilities are also excellent.
The care home has a lovely warmth and cannot praise the staff enough.

The care is excellent. The facilities are clean and the apartments are huge. The owners are very approachable and helpful. The staff are very kind and always helpful. The care that my grandfather received was the best that I could have hoped for. I was anxious putting him in a care home, but afterwards,
I realised I should have done this much earlier.
My family was given a lot of quality time with my grandfather, without the worry and stress and sleepless nights. We as a family will be eternally grateful to Vicarage Court and it's staff for this.

Staff are efficient and friendly, always happy to lend a hand when needed. I must personally mention the Creative & Activities team she manages and organises the activities for the residents within the home which she does with great enthusiasm, thoughtfulness and pride. Sometimes I think she must of
have a double, with the amount she gets through!! She keeps the residents happy and engaged. Fantastic experience within this establishment.

Although I have no current reason to use the services at Vicarage Court Care Home, I would not hesitate to recommend it or in fact use it myself should the need arise.
It is really like a home from home as much as the staff possibly can make it for the residents. There are obvious signs of care and
dignity.
The staff are angels without wings.

All the staff were a big support for all the family as well as my mother. We would not have coped without it.
Everyone went the extra mile to give that personal touch which helped a lot.
The staff were all so friendly, they are "Earth Angels".
I would not hesitate in recommending the home to anyone.
Keep up the good work!!!

Mum has bee a resident at the Vicarage Court care home in Featherstone for over 3 years. She is well looked after and is a happy person taking part in the vast array of activities. In February 2015 Mum was very poorly and admitted to hospital. When she was discharged she went into nursing care. The
staff's care was so good she is now back on residential - amazing. The staff and owners are very approachable and their love and care shows in everything they do.

My Mum who is now 97 years of age has been at Vicarage Court for four years. She is extremely well cared for, giving me and my husband real peace of mind. She had been in hospital before she was admitted to the Home and really not well. Now four years older she is absolutely fine which is testament
to her good care. The staff are genuinely caring and kind both to my Mum and to us as visitors. There are lots of activities and entertainment to keep Residents occupied.

The care home staff are always friendly and cheerful and my in-laws are well looked after. You have the confidence that their well-being is the home's prime concern and you are able to visit at any time. The owner is always on hand to discuss your relative's care and always has a positive attitude to
their lifestyle. It is reassuring to know your loved ones are in a caring environment.

My cousin was cared at Vicarage Court for the last 18 months. We have been very impressed the way she was looked after. The staff were meticulous in making sure all her needs were met.
The staff were always pleasant and helpful when we visited her. I am sure she could not have been in a better place
in the final months of her life.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.818) out of 10 for Vicarage Court Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 23 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 23 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.818 for Vicarage Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (223 Excellents x 5) + (43 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 269 Ratings = 4.818
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Vicarage Court Care Home is based on 23 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 80 registered maximum number of service users is 16, which has been reached with 23 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
