This is a fantastic care home. Staff are amazing. So hard working and dedicated in what they do. The home is immaculate with lovely bright rooms. My mam was very well cared for here. Cannot thank the staff enough. Would highly recommend this care home to anyone.

This is a fabulous care home, which gave my mam all the care and support she needed, it’s very reassuring to know your loved one is safe and cared for by such dedicated lovely staff. My mam sadly passed in the care home, and even though her passing was expected, it’s still a shock, but knowing she was never alone brought great comfort to me. During this pandemic my mam was thoroughly looked after which I am so grateful for, I will always remember the home but especially the staff, for their dedication to my mams wellbeing, I will be forever grateful.

My Mum has been a resident at Hadrian House Care Home for several years now. I am very happy with the excellent care she receives. Many of the staff have worked there as long as my Mum has been in care, so she knows them well, as do I. They are so hardworking, caring and patient. It is so reassuring to know that my Mum is being well looked after. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this home to anyone.

An excellent care home. All the staff care deeply about the residents and strive to make them happy.
My mum is safe and well cared for. The communal lounges are friendly and comfortable. The cooking smells from the kitchen smell delicious and my mum likes the food.

Thank you.

My aunt has always been looked after so well at Hadrian House. The staff are so hardworking and caring, not to mention patient! Hadrian House itself is immaculately clean, my aunt was encouraged to bring some of her own possessions when she moved in which means her room is very pleasant. We would recommend it to anyone.

Due to restrictions cannot fully comment on facilities, activities, food etc. Staff are very friendly and seem to care about the residents but as my mother went into care in lockdown I cannot comment on everything as limited access.

I live in Sussex, so visiting Mum is difficult. We have daily phone contact, and the staff are always pleasant and helpful. They recognise my voice and always exchange pleasantries before passing me over to Mum.
On the occasions we have managed to visit, they have been friendly and welcoming. Even staff on their break outside the house say hello and ask if we are ok. Mum's room has always been clean, tidy and her personal belongings clean and well cared for. The Covid protocols have always been evident.

Mum is always treated with respect and encouraged to take part in activities. They cope well with her dementia. As far as we've seen, this applies to other residents too.

I always have a very good experience when visiting my mother in Hadrian House, Blaydon. The staff are always very nice, friendly and always are very respectful of my mam. I also had an elderly aunt who was a resident in this care home for many years until she sadly passed away therefore when my mam needed 24 hours care me and the family did not hesitate choosing for my mam going into this care home. I also know that a lot of the staff have been there many years which tell a story in itself.

We as a family can't fault the staff or care provided for our mother. A lovely, clean, friendly place and very well run especialy in these times of Covid. As the extra work the staff have to do can't make it easy. Our mother is happy and well cared for and we are so grateful for that.

My Mother has been a resident for almost 11 months and the improvement in her health both physically and mentally is wonderful to see.
She struggled greatly during the lockdown living alone and not able to go out and attend a local day centre while suffering from dementia.
The staff have welcomed her and our family during a very difficult time especially when we were unable to visit, talking to her regularly on the phone.

It's a great relief to us knowing she is safe and well.

The staff and manager at Hadrian are excellent. My mother is quite demanding and I worry she may be putting onto the girls, but they all assure me that she is no bother to them. When walking into Hadrian it always smells nice. I am happy that there are activities and days out for the residents as I can imagine the boredom. Very happy overall.

My mother was cared for in Hadrian House from September 2013 until her passing in Jan 2018.
I continue to come here every two weeks to visit and see residents and staff.
My mother, who had dementia, was very well cared for and treated with dignity and respect at all times.

Very fond memories and staff always on hand and always cheerful.

My mother moved into Hadrian House in March 2018. The staff are very friendly and caring. The food is excellent. All of our family have nothing but the highest of praise for the standard of care she has received. She has settled really well and is very happy and safe and we are all made to feel very welcome any time. A big thank you to you all.

Mum came to Hadrian House last year, July 7th. She was keen to be here. For the next 7-10 days, she was a bit worried - kept asking "why are we here?". Then, almost immediately, Mum had settled down. The carers and staff are just wonderful. They smile and talk to the people. The rooms are very clean. Lots of people love the food, with sensible portions. People are being looked after with care, fun and support. Shower and bath are very suitable. Carers and people have good times of laughing. Hadrian House seems to be very well managed.

Meet the Team (1)

Caterina Perone
Caterina PeroneJob Title:Home Manager

Before becoming Home Manager, I spent three years as Deputy Manager at Armstrong House, and my biggest career highlight has been progressing within Care UK for almost ten years. Moving into my first Home Manager role reflects my dedication, growth, and the trust placed in me to lead, maintain high standards of care, and make a meaningful difference for residents and colleagues.

I chose to work for Care UK because of its strong commitment to high-quality, compassionate, person-centred care and the supportive environment it creates for both residents and staff. As a Home Manager, I believe it’s essential to be open, approachable, a good listener, and to lead by example while encouraging others to develop their skills and confidence.

My favourite part of the day is when a resident smiles at me, knowing that the team and I have made a positive difference in their day. Those moments are incredibly rewarding and remind me why I do what I do.

Outside of work, I enjoy baking, shopping, and going on long walks with my husband and our little daughter. I’m proud to lead a dedicated team at Hadrian House and look forward to building a warm, welcoming home where residents feel safe, respected, and truly at home, while continuing to develop strong relationships with families and the wider community.
