When I came into this home it was not what I expected, I expected something your grandmother would say, such as stay away from places like that. The staff here are second to none. I would rate this place second to none.

My uncle has been in Hadrian House for 6 months and during that time has received excellent care. The home is very well run and a credit to all who work there.
Caring staff who have at times a difficult job always seem to find time for individual residents needs and I have seen many acts of kindness over the months.

It is a safe and caring environment for my uncle and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone in a similar position.

Staff and management could not have done more to help me arrange suitable care for both of my parents with their differing dementia and general old age needs. They continue to be kind and attentive to them both, giving me peace of mind. This home manages to combine a bright and clean environment with a high standard of care. All staff are friendly and seem to take a real interest in their elderly clients, despite their significant workloads.

My mother has lived at Hadrian House for just over a year and I am very satisfied with the care she has received. The staff are very busy with many demands on their time, but they aim always to be responsive. It does mean though that it is sometimes difficult to get through to speak to my mother on the phone. This is particularly important to me as I live at a distance.

We feel that the staff know her, are kindly and attentive and allow her to be as independent as possible. The home is clean and well run with a welcoming ambience. It is bright and airy and the wide corridors make it easy to move around. My mother enjoys the view from her room and especially from the large sitting room windows which give a view of the activity in the village below and a vista of the landscape beyond - all of which keeps her engaged.

Hadrian House made the difficult job of moving my 96 year old father and step-mother into care much easier than anticipated. The staff were compassionate and welcoming and are genuinely interested in the people they look after. They have handled all of their care needs and issues with falls and illnesses very well. Medical professionals have been brought in to assess and treat both of them as needed and even had them admitted to hospital when they were very poorly while we were out of the country. As needs have changed, Hadrian House have adapted the care plans to accommodate these changes. It is very reassuring to know that they are in a safe and caring environment.

To have to hand the care of someone very special to you to somebody else is a very hard thing to do. It has been made bearable due to the amazing care, help and support from a fantastic team of people much more than we could have hoped for. A very big thank you to everyone, we appreciate it very much.

Meet the Team (1)

Caterina Perone
Caterina PeroneJob Title:Home Manager

Before becoming Home Manager, I spent three years as Deputy Manager at Armstrong House, and my biggest career highlight has been progressing within Care UK for almost ten years. Moving into my first Home Manager role reflects my dedication, growth, and the trust placed in me to lead, maintain high standards of care, and make a meaningful difference for residents and colleagues.

I chose to work for Care UK because of its strong commitment to high-quality, compassionate, person-centred care and the supportive environment it creates for both residents and staff. As a Home Manager, I believe it’s essential to be open, approachable, a good listener, and to lead by example while encouraging others to develop their skills and confidence.

My favourite part of the day is when a resident smiles at me, knowing that the team and I have made a positive difference in their day. Those moments are incredibly rewarding and remind me why I do what I do.

Outside of work, I enjoy baking, shopping, and going on long walks with my husband and our little daughter. I’m proud to lead a dedicated team at Hadrian House and look forward to building a warm, welcoming home where residents feel safe, respected, and truly at home, while continuing to develop strong relationships with families and the wider community.
