Always made to feel welcome. Staff friendly. Care excellent. My mother-in-law is looked after with great care and dignity, could not ask for anywhere better. A good example for other homes I've visited.

My Dad came to the home in February 2019. As as a family, we couldn't be happier. Dad is really happy. The staff and management are always so lovely and friendly and very approachable. Dad always looks lovely and clean when I visit him.

Since my Mam went into Archers Park care home the staff and carers have been amazing with my Mam and us as a family. In my Mams room, it was all green which Mam doesn't like, I spoke to management and they are changing the colour of the chair from green to red, which is Mam's favourite colour. The staff
in Archers Park are very approachable with any concerns we have and they treat all their residents as if it was their own family members which, I think is amazing. If anyone was to approach me about Archers Park I would definitely say to them it's an amazing home.

At first, my mam was upset and anxious with her new surroundings. I was concerned at how withdrawn she was becoming and refused to eat or drink. Within a matter of a few days the whole family could see a massive change for the better. The staff here have made my mam feel like royalty, their care and
support is outstanding, nothing is a problem, even when she was admitted to hospital for a short while. They are all very dedicated to their jobs as if it were their own family members.
Reply from Sharon Easterbrook Smith, Care Home Manager at Archers Park Dementia Care HomeThank you for this perfect review of our home! It is incredibly important to myself and the rest of the team that we make our residents and their families as comfortable as possible and put all of your worries to ease. Nothing will ever be too much trouble for our dedicated team, seeing this reflected in your review is a true testament to their hard work. Once again, thank you.

We have faced a very difficult decision to move our Mam-in-law into residential care as she was not coping at home. It's been a really difficult time for us all and I cannot thank the manager and her team enough. We are in the process of a diagnosis of possible dementia and we have been reassured and
supported by this home more than we ever imagined. Thank you.

Staff always helpful. Sometimes Dad hasn't slippers on or hearing aids put in. Clothing not available but this is probably teething problems as clothes could have been in the wash. Problems seem to be addressed when they arise.

During my last couple of months my father has been poorly on numerous occasions. During these periods of sickness he has received excellent care from all staff. I must though mention the commitment of one lady who on numerous occasions demanded from outside organisations the need for assesment and in
respect to his care made sure that he was not moved but cared for by her and her team. She was and has always been truly exceptional.

My lovely mam was a resident in Archers Park from January '17 to January '18. The staff were kind, tolerant, funny and very, very caring to my mam and me. They included me in their care and concern. My mam was calm, clean, happy and content in their care. Also as a frequent visitor to Archers Park in
the last year, I witnessed their kindness and care to other often challenging residents. Well done and thank you Archers Park.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.642)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.642) out of 10 for Archers Park Dementia Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 11 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 11 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.867 for Archers Park Dementia Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (113 Excellents x 5) + (13 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 128 Ratings = 4.867
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.775 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Archers Park Dementia Care Home is based on 11 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 = 3.775
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 40 registered maximum number of service users is 8, which has been reached with 11 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
