Kirkley Lodge has been fantastic in looking after my nana who has dementia. It was a hard decision taking my nana out of her bungalow to be put in a home but Kirkley Lodge made a challenging and emotional decision easy with their top of the range care. I can’t thank them enough. The staff are lovely.

Mam moved into Kirkley Lodge in April 2021, suffering from dementia, having not been in any care provision prior to this and in the midst of COVID restrictions, this led to an extremely difficult time for her and the family. Initial contact with management arranging a place was amazing, making the
whole process a lot less stressful, they were supportive, helpful, and very knowledgeable. They dealt with the numerous queries and concerns I had quickly and professionally, I never felt like a nuisance and they provided reassurance and help throughout. Five months on Mam has settled fully into Kirkley Lodge which is amazing for her and us. This is all due to the care, support, commitment, patience, and resilience of the staff involved with her care, they are a credit to the facility, a big thank you to them all. Visiting it is always a positive experience, the staff interactions are caring and encouraging, I strongly recommend Kirkley Lodge to anyone considering care for a loved one.

I am really impressed with Kirkley Lodge. Very kind and helpful, very reassuring over my worries about mum settling in, but they are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. I get regular updates which means the world to me. I am happy with how my mum has come on since being in their care. Very

My mum lived at Kirkley Lodge for 4 1/2 wonderful years! She was so happy there, loved, cared for and respected for who she was.
Unfortunately, we lost mam in April and she died peacefully in Kirkley. I will never be able to thank the professionalism that management and staff showed mam in her last
few days. The care, love and tenderness they gave her, and us her family, to the end was amazing. Thank you!

My mother was in Kirkley Lodge from Feb 2018 until Dec 2019. From the moment she arrived she was made to feel like one of the family. She actually told us after a few weeks that it was the happiest she had been for a very long time. There were always activities to attend and they had trips out quite
often. She made food friends in there and never felt lonely.

I chose this care home for respite care for transition between hospital and home as I had been so impressed by the standard of care given to my mother up to the end of her life in 2012. Throughout my ten day stay, every aspect of my needs were carefully and considerately provided for. It was a huge
relief for my family and a real comfort for me to be looked after so well.
The pleasure of renewing contact with so many members of care staff after seven years was a bonus and speaks volumes about the high standard of Kirkley Lodge as a place of work. Happy staff provide the best customer service and this shone through every aspect of this excellent facility.

My mother was only in Kirkley Lodge for the last three months of her life. She had previously been there for several weeks before for respite and liked the place very much. She was not well for those three months and I felt the care, kindness and dedication of the staff looking after her was of the

My stay at Kirkley Lodge has been made enjoyable by the politeness and kindness of all the staff. There was one hiccup, with my medication. My Piferdone couldn't be found (this is my must have medication). This was quite quickly sorted so the problem was solved. The Piferdone cannot be prescribed by
my doctor or the local hospital but only another hospital. I think any care home should be aware of any problems that make a particular medication difficult to obtain. I think the review form should have a Very Good square between Good and Excellent (the difference is too big). If I need care/support in the future I would certainly stay at Kirkley Lodge again and would recommend Kirkley Lodge (certainly with the staff you have now).

The care home is very welcoming and homely. The staff are extremely courteous and really do 'care' for the other residents. Next to living at home, I feel this care home is the best. Excellent rooms and the food is really good and varied. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they make you feel like
a member of a large family. I go away with the knowledge that my husband is getting the best care and attention and is extremely settled and happy there. Couldn't ask for more!

After a short stay in hospital we had to find somewhere for my mum with 24-hour care in a hurry so that she could come home - as she was already an Anchor resident, we contacted Kirkley Lodge. What a fantastic find. The home is lovely, the care team are great, each showing wonderful care and skill in
welcoming mum and looking after her. My mum is settled and happy and the team cope with whatever she needs. We are very happy and an extra thank you to the management team who have made the overall process so easy! Just one negative comment, access in the evening to the building is difficult as the bell is not always working.
