So my dad has been in Green Lodge for 6 months now, it was so hard dropping him off as he's 83 and blind. But Green Lodge were fantastic took my worries away about leaving him and keeping me informed of his health and mood. In particular, he has taken a shine to a senior care assistant. She has gone above and beyond to make my dad feel comfortable and looked after, and most importantly wanted and needed. My dad dotes on her and really classes her as his best friend. Green Lodge is a lucky place to have such a caring person on their team. Well done to staff, they credit to the industry, a caring loving people that love their job.
Thank you so much for your feedback, this means so much to all the staff. Your Dad is a pleasure to look after. I will pass your amazing feedback on to all staff, and thank you once again. Kind regards.
My mother has made tremendous progress since being admitted to Green Lodge. All the staff I have had contact with have been very caring and professional. The home seems to have managed the current Covid situation very well.

My relative required emergency care and the team at Green Lodge could not be more helpful, due to the current pandemic I was unable to visit but have been completely involved in every aspect of my relatives care. The deputy manager goes above and beyond and keeps me fully updated with everything and has arranged window visits, face time and WhatsApp calls and as a family, we couldn’t be happier she is a star! The team are professional, caring and led very well. We couldn’t have hoped for a better home. My relative is so happy and we know we made the right decision choosing Green Lodge.
Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review for Green Lodge, your positive feedback is greatly appreciated, all staff strive to deliver a quality service and receiving feedback like this will be passed on and welcomed by all, once again thank you. Kind Regards.
My mum was admitted to Green Lodge as she required extra support. The staff could not be more helpful especially with the current pandemic. It was a hard decision for us to make as a family but after speaking to the deputy manager she put our mind at ease. She is so professional, absolutely cares and keeps me fully updated with everything! I can ring at any time and she always has time for a chat/update and always seems so happy she really is a star! The staff are amazing with mum and she is so happy which makes us so happy! I cannot thank the staff enough they are a well-led team and are like extended family!

A very good family friend has recently moved homes and is now at Green Lodge. I knew I could not visit, however, I did call by to ask how he was. I am the next of kin for my friend so needed to make sure he has settled. The staff could not be more helpful, I was introduced through the window to the new manager and was really put at ease about my life long friend. If the care my friend receives is as warm as my welcome he will feel at home.

Every staff member goes the extra bit to make sure the residents and family feel like they are important. My mother, although has dementia, is very settled and happy with the staff and care given. The meals are very nice and are made on the premises and are like the old school meals which they relate to.

The staff at Green Lodge are very professional, caring, friendly and approachable. The staff are very skilled at supporting my husband in all areas of his care, they understand and respond to his needs well and always show patience, understanding and compassion whilst supporting him. Above all, my husband is happy and settled in Green Lodge and he enjoys banter with staff and residents. When visiting Green Lodge you are guaranteed a warm, friendly welcome and a cup of tea.

The home is clean but not clinical (a hard mix to achieve). It is well run, full of caring staff who engage with the residents and ensure their needs are met. Food is lovely, plenty of tea - on demand if needed (which is important to my family).
I have found all of the staff to be accommodating, helpful, trustworthy and truthful - and most importantly they do work as a team.
They have actively helped rehabilitate both of my parents and worked with me and other agencies involved to get the right care and on each occasion that my dad has taken ill, they have picked up on in the early stages, taken action and helped us avoid bigger problems.
Sure there is an odd niggle here or there, after all, no-one is perfect, but Green Lodge comes pretty close.

Generally speaking I have no complaints regarding the home. However, at no time in the six months that my Aunt has been resident has any senior member of staff enquired as to any issues we might have. We have always had to raise them for this reason and that feels like we are often complaining.
Many thanks for taking the time to review our home. I am sorry to hear that you feel our staff have not enquired about your Aunt’s stay. I urge you to come speak to me directly or via email to discuss how we can improve the care of your Aunt. Regarding the cleanliness, this is a core part of what...
Care staff are always willing to help when they can.
The care that my Dad receives varies, depending on the shifts of staff. Generally speaking, the staff care deeply about the residents and go out of their way to ensure that he is cared for and comfortable. One of the laundry staff makes sure that Dad has enough clothing before she goes home after her shift. I could wish that the cleaning of rooms was more efficient, though again that depends on individual staff. Some staff try hard to ensure that Dad eats and drinks plenty. Regular shaving has improved recently and this makes Dad more comfortable.
Thank you for your review. I’m glad that our staff and the care meets your expectations and that your dad is comfortable. If you can provide me with more information regarding the cleaning of his room, I can investigate this for you. Please feel free to speak to me in person or via email. Kind Regards, Care Home Manager.
My wife is a resident in the dementia ward. She seems to be happy and settled there and is responsive to the resident carers there who take care of her needs. With vascular dementia routine and familiarity is of prime concern to her but she is not very responsive to unfamiliar faces eg., some of the agency staff. She sometimes refuses to let them change her if she has not been changed. I change her and dress her. She has a happy nature and is well liked by the staff. She likes to sit in the nice garden with me and is quite chatty with a good sense of humour. I have seen a big improvement in her over the year.
Thank you for taking the time to review our care home. I’m happy to learn that our care meets your expectations and that our staff are friendly and respectable. It’s also lovely to hear that you have seen a change in her well being since she has been a resident with us. Kind regards, Care Home Manager.
Staff very caring, providing activities, show respect to residents and visitors.
Thank you for taking the time to review our care home. We’re delighted that our staff and care meet your standards. Thank you, Care Home Manager.
All the care staff and the management are very welcoming and accommodating. They are caring, patient and attentive. I have been a regular visitor since October 2017 and the above comments have always been appropriate. The staff have delivered a high standard of care over a sustained period of time. My Dad is very happy here and this is by far the best care home I have ever been in.

I was worried about my aunt settling there, but she has developed a great rapport with the staff and has settled well. My aunt is somebody who doesn't easily join in with activities. But there is such a range of activities at Green Lodge that she is joining in to many and she's enjoying herself.
Her physical and psychological health have improved since she's been at Green Lodge, firstly because she is now eating properly, and secondly because she enjoys the company there.
The management at Green Lodge are exceptional in their passion for making it the best place it can possibly be. They are at the moment revamping the lovely large garden into a sensory garden for the use of the residents. I'm very happy with my aunt's care at Green Lodge.

Meet the Team (1)

Hi, I'm Kelly, and I've worked in the care sector since I was 15 years old - I went from making tea and spending time with residents to becoming a Carer, Senior Carer, Team Leader, Deputy Manager and finally Home Manager.
Over the years, I have supported people with a range of care needs, but I have particularly focused on dementia care and developed a real passion for it. Not only do I bring experience, but I bring compassion and leadership, advocating for high-quality person-centred care.
