Mandale House is a purpose-built development that specialises in residential and dementia care, incorporating the latest care technology and tailoring all care to individual needs.

Carers offer residents and their families the support they need during what many find some of the most trying times of their lives. Families are truly grateful for the personal support they receive, when faced with one of life's very difficult decisions and the team pride themselves on continuing that support to residents and their families from the moment they contact the home throughout the whole of their stay and beyond.

The approach to care is simple - look after the person and not the ailment/condition alone - Carers want to get to know their residents and their families, thus enabling them to look after the whole person and not just to concentrate on the task in hand. Staff get to know their clients, who they are, who they were and how they have come to be at the home.

Carers get to know their families too and like to understand the dynamics within the family setting and how best they can support these as they build a relationship of trust. After being admitted from hospital for respite care as my wife can't care for me at home with my current mobility issues, I have stayed in the home for nearly 2 weeks and really appreciate how the staff have accommodated me and my needs.They have made me feel comfortable and made me feel welcome in
the home. If I need any further rehab or respite I will not hesitate to come back here.

Have used Mandale House previously for my Mother's respite care and always pleased. I know she is in safe hands. All the staff and managers are so kind and friendly and go out of their way to make her feel welcome.

My mother is happy in the home and feels safe. and doesn't like to leave the home, as she doesn't feel safe away from the home. The staff are very helpful and dedicated to patient care.

During one visit of my relative for the occasion of her very special birthday, I could see and feel how very special the carers were. Full of present, kindness + attention, they quickly dealt with any need of the residents. The celebration they arranged was exceptional.

Mandale House Care Home is not the most modern care facility but that is not important, what is important is the staff and how they looked after my dad during the last year of his life, and in that regard they are fabulous.


The home is clean and well run, and the staff are really sweet, caring, and

well trained, so from the day he was moved there I knew that he was happy, content, and in the right place.

You are greeted with smiles from all of the staff and they all say hello. The friendly feel to the home is wonderful. The staff would do anything to help you. They are really gentle with the residents.
The home is clean and they have entertainment on for the residents all of the time.
My mother settled
in without any problems. She has never complained. It really is a home from home.

Mandale House is an excellent care home, no faults I have got to say. All the staff are so kind, helpful and nothing is too much trouble for any of them. The carers and all the staff who were caring for me have looked after me so well and I couldn't be happier. I felt so at ease from beginning to end
and all the residents were so nice and they all seemed as happy as I am. I am going to miss this care home but would come back like a shot. Overall I would highly recommend Mandale House to anyone.

Being in the care home for 6 weeks my mother-in-law found such kindness and care. Both staff and management staff are kind and helpful people who support, care and help in every way. They are kind, and humourous in a very genuine way and apart from myself I have only seen 100% help and care with other
patients. This is a well-accommodated place to be in.

Although Mam was only in the home for a few hours (she was taken to hospital with pneumonia), the staff we met could not have been friendlier. They were lovely and made Mam very comfortable and we were very happy to leave her there in their care. I would definitely choose this care home again if required.

The majority of staff show empathy and understanding and do a fantastic job in challenging circumstances. The home is a very welcoming place and all staff are friendly and helpful. My mum has taken part in quite a few activities and enjoys the interaction of other residents. On the whole, I am very
happy that my mum is safe and well looked after within this caring environment.

Since a new, permanent manager has been put in place, things have improved greatly. There are still the occasional hiccups, involving new staff, but these are now of a minor nature.

Overall, I am happy with the Mandale House Care Home. The staff do their job well and will help with any questions that I may have from time to time.
Regarding your question value for money that I have left out because social services and my daughter with power of attorney take care of that so I don't
have that information.

Mum has been here for three years. There has been times when I have been unhappy with Mum's care. However over a few solved. Mum seems more happy looked after.
