Mandale House is a purpose-built development that specialises in residential and dementia care, incorporating the latest care technology and tailoring all care to individual needs.

Carers offer residents and their families the support they need during what many find some of the most trying times of their lives. Families are truly grateful for the personal support they receive, when faced with one of life's very difficult decisions and the team pride themselves on continuing that support to residents and their families from the moment they contact the home throughout the whole of their stay and beyond.

The approach to care is simple - look after the person and not the ailment/condition alone - Carers want to get to know their residents and their families, thus enabling them to look after the whole person and not just to concentrate on the task in hand. Staff get to know their clients, who they are, who they were and how they have come to be at the home.

Carers get to know their families too and like to understand the dynamics within the family setting and how best they can support these as they build a relationship of trust. Dad is very settled in Mandale. All staff are friendly and caring. They assist Dad to live as independently as he is able and take an interest in what he likes, i.e. football, music and family. The meals are nutritious and well-presented. The staff encourage him to partake in activities and entertainment
provided. I would recommend Mandale House to anybody.

Since my sister-in-law went into Mandale Care Home over a year ago the care and attention she has received is of the highest quality. The covid situation has made things very difficult for all concerned but standards of care have been maintained at such wonderful levels and I have the greatest admiration
and thanks to all the staff for what they achieve day in day out. I know she is safe and secure in Mandale and she gets regular and varied choice of meals. I also know that close attention is given to her medication. Many thanks indeed.

The care and attention that has been given to my mother-in-law is just excellent. She is part of a very caring and loving environment and is treated in such a lovely way that comes across as her being so happy in herself. My Father stayed at Mandale House for three weeks. He had a pleasurable time, he said the staff were kind and helped him a lot, the food was nice (he gained a little weight during his stay). He enjoyed meeting new people and joining in with activities. He would definitely like to stay again.

My mother-in-law was a resident of Mandale House Care Home for many years. The staff are always exceptionally kind and considerate, have always looked after her amazingly well and have always kept in contact when needed. We have been made welcome when we have visited. I think it has been a fantastic
caring warm home for her later years. Activities have been available for those who are able to take part.

I have not personally been in the care home for some months due to COVID-19, so many of my comments are based on my previous attendances there and my mother's comments. My mother always says she is very happy to be living in Mandale House and speaks very highly of the staff. Personally, I have always
found the staff both courteous and helpful. If I have a concern they address it straight away. My mother's room is always clean and tidy. She is reluctant to join in on most activities but that is her nature, however, every attempt is made in a gentle and respectful way to help her to socialise. The staff do a marvellous job in what can sometimes be very challenging circumstances.

I have been here for 6 weeks and they have flown by. The room is excellent and well kept. The staff are friendly and charming, nothing is too much for them. The food I have frequented many first-class hotels over the years and the quality of the food pass the vast majority. It is something to look forward
to, homely and very tasty. Well done kitchen staff. I would recommend Mandale House to anybody well done.

Mum was so much happier in herself and settled here. She loved the staff and in turn, they loved her. Mum enjoyed the food and her appetite was much improved. She was well looked after and staff were always on hand to answer questions.

My dad has been here two years now and I have always been very happy with all the care he has been given.
All the staff and managers are all very friendly.
I have recently brought my mum in as well and she has really settled in, they have made her feel at home and I am happy knowing they are getting
well looked after.
Would definitely recommend Mandale House.

I found Mandale House Care Home to be an excellent choice for respite care. I was welcomed in a warm and friendly manner. I was shown to my bedroom which was spotlessly clean and tidy. I was introduced to various staff throughout my stay who welcomed me with “Hello, my name's ..... if there is anything
you want just ask”.
All staff at Mandale House Care Home were nice, friendly and every person treated me with respect and dignity. I was also introduced to and interacted with, the residents of Mandale House Care Home. I had a named key worker whom I could go to if any issues should have arisen. I informed my key worker of my food allergies and total dislike of meat. My key worker informed the chef who came to see me and told me that I just had to ask for anything I wanted. All my medication was noted as was all my clothing and personal items I had taken with me. The standard of food was very good. There is a big communal lounge and a quieter lounge. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mandale House Care Home.

We are really pleased with the care Dad is receiving. The staff all know him and aware of his needs, likes and dislikes. Dad's weight has stabilised due to the careful monitoring now given. The site is clean, calm and clearly well managed.

All the staff at Mandale House are always approachable and treat my father with respect and dignity, and together with their care they also treat my father as an individual. His room is bright and airy. He is upstairs at the home as his dementia has progressed, but he settled in really well as he knew
all the carers from when he was downstairs so I think that helped.

I have seen many improvements over the 3 years or so that my Dad has been living at Mandale House Care Home. It is great to see improvements in the environment too, with sounds of the seaside in the corridors, themed decor, good food, and the home even have their own petting hens now too which the
residents enjoy. All of the staff and management team think very highly of my lovely Dad and they have ensured he has a bedroom overlooking the garden and that he has an adjustable bed and chair to suit his needs. As a regular visitor for my Dad, the staff are very friendly and always make me feel very welcome on each visit. They enjoy seeing me doing activities with my Dad that I know he enjoys and in continuing to share our Dad and Daughter time together, the staff are happy to try and help with any requests. It is very good to hear of further improvement work that is also in the pipeline of which I am happy to have been invited to be involved with. Thank you to the whole team.
