Anchor's Millbeck in Norton is a purpose-built home supporting up to 30 older people to live a comfortable lifestyle. The home is situated a short distance away from local shops and amenities, within a leafy village setting and continues to welcome new residents.

The home strives to deliver a range of residential care services, including respite care and long-term care for those who can no longer look after themselves. Millbeck also provides care for older people living with dementia.

The care team gets to know customers and work with them to organise wellness activities, which match individual and group interests, both in the care home as well as in the local community.

Each customer’s individual needs are regularly assessed to ensure their care plans meet their lifestyle requirements. Meals are cooked fresh, from locally sourced and seasonal ingredients where possible, and by highly trained chefs and kitchen staff.

Anchor is England’s largest provider of housing and care for those over 55 years of age and has 60 years of experience as a not-for-profit provider of services to older people.

From the moment my mother walked into Millbeck she was made to feel welcome and cared for. Despite mother's demands to go home every day (dementia), the staff comforted her and reassured her with great patience and understanding.
I would recommend Millbeck to anyone needing a caring environment for
their loved one.

Throughout Mum's stay in Millbeck, all staff have consistently demonstrated great care, compassion and empathy. At all times, they have supported and encouraged her while patiently respecting her views.
When Millbeck identified additional needs they always listened to and worked effectively with the
specialist medical teams, the District Nurses, the local GP surgery and her family. As Mum's needs increased, Millbeck welcomed her back from the hospital into her calm peaceful home.

Mum-in-law had accessed other care homes, the difference between them and Milbeck is unreal. At Milbeck she is treated with dignity and respect, her care is person-centred. Nothing is too much trouble, the staff are hard-working, professional and friendly and caring. Managers and team leaders are approachable
and helpful. Mum-in-law is given lots of choices for meals and they are presented in a lovely manner, she says the food is nice. The family are delighted with the care she is receiving and are so grateful she was offered a place.

My father continues to receive excellent care at this wonderful care home, where everyone works together as a team to give him the very best support he could have. I visit him regularly and have seen incredible consistency in all departments; everyone seems dedicated to give their best, which is great

Mam has settled really well. The staff are attentive to her needs and she enjoys her time at Millbeck. Activities happen each week and mam enjoys the activities. Our friend has been in Millbeck for a number of years now and we visit when able. My mam came into Millbeck from a hospital admission of frequent UTI's. It was a hard decision to make at the time due to COVID and not allowing visitors. However, the staff at Millbeck made this easy due to the care and love shown to settled her in. Staff ensured I got regular video calls with my mam.
My mam enjoyed activities and sitting with other residents. She enjoyed her time in Millbeck and made some great friends.

This is a professionally run care home where staff go the extra mile to make the residents feel at home and comfortable. My mum is not only an old lady but has also lost her sight. It is amazing how all care staff have helped with her needs. As a family, we are delighted with the care Mum gets. All
the staff, from the manager, team leaders, carers, cooks and cleaners are lovely.

We cannot fault Milbeck Care Home in Norton for their care of my mam. Nothing is a problem to them, the staff have an amazing rapport with my mam which shows when we visit. The entertainment during lockdown was amazing, which allowed her family, who are key workers, to continue working throughout the

This has been a strange year due to Covid. Millbeck has been amazing they have gone above and beyond to keep our families safe. We have had video calls, video messages of all the lovely activities the residents have been doing. All the staff are so caring, they are all our extended family. Rooms, food
and all the facilities are 100%. My mam is so happy living at Millbeck.
