Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We welcome all feedback and are always learning and looking for ways to improve. I am pleased that you find a warm welcome every time you are in the home and thank you for noting that everywhere is very clean. We pride ourselves on our cleanliness. We encourage families to be involved in the care planning of our residents, please mention this to the Manager or a member of staff next time you are in and we can organise this for you. It has been unfortunate that the lift broke and unfortunately we had to wait for the part to be delivered. We have a contract with a lift company who provide 24/7 support and as you say, we do have a stair lift as a back up, although I appreciate this may not be someone's preferred choice. I hope you have now met our new Manager, who is very experienced and has had a thorough handover from our Operations Manager who was based at the home during the recruitment process.

Thank you for your review. We appreciate all feedback. We have an activities co-ordinator who carries out many different activities, some as larger groups in the lounges and some as one-to-one, these include quizzes, arts and crafts, bingo and pamper sessions to name but a few; she tries to involve as many residents as possible during the day. She reads with the residents who require assistance. We have singers who come to visit the home at regular intervals.
The staff have sing songs with the residents and chat with them.
In the lounge we alternate between the TV and radio, we try to accommodate all residents. We also have a smart speaker for the residents to use.
When family and friends visit, we try to give them space to spend time with their loved ones without interference as we feel this is a special time, we encourage family and friends to take part in any activities with the resident.

Thankyou for your review, we welcome all feedback. We recommend all families to raise any concerns or complaints at the time and, preferably, direct to ourselves and then we can try and remedy the situation immediately. This provides a better outcome for our residents. We pride ourselves on being a learning organisation but we find it hard to build on the service that we offer, when the complaint is raised several months later and indirectly via a website. In response to a couple of your points, our furniture is not flat packed but purchased from a specialist care company. Our home is an older building and the bedrooms have varying sizes of en-suites and we may have been able to offer you an alternative bedroom. Our home is known for its delicious, home-cooked food and we regularly post photographs of our 'Cake of The Day' on Social Media.
