My father received amazing care at the home. The care workers always showed patience and care even when dad was being difficult. They kept the room clean and tidy and made sure Dad was always smart. We would recommend it to anyone.

Mum has been in the care home now for 3 months, which was temporary to begin with, but we have decided to make this a permanent arrangement. She is cared for on the dementia floor and often engages in activities on the ground floor. She has settled now and enjoys the company of the staff and other residents. Staff are always friendly, caring and comforting to her. We have noticed how difficult it is for the staff who are dealing with dementia residents, and on some occasions, feel more staff would be beneficial. We do feel any issues we have with mum's care are always dealt with professionally.
Your kind words are greatly appreciated and I will of course share them with the team .

Food is excellent and plentiful, freshly prepared with a good variety. There are plenty of activities for residents to get involved if they wish to. The home is cleaned daily by a brilliant team of cleaners and laundry staff who also regularly have residents laughing and singing. I am more than happy with the care my husband receives here.

My mother has been a resident for the past 3/4 years due to dementia and I can not fault the attention and attitudes of the staff. To me they look after my mam like she was their own. My mother suffers terribly with chest infections and they are always quick to pick up on it when she starts becoming unwell. They sort out the matron and always let me know what the outcome is and the tablets etc that she is getting. The cleanliness of the home is great. I never see anything out of place or dust anywhere. Even the cleaning staff are super friendly and stop and chat with my mam. I also have to say the food is amazing as well. My mam eats everything. Never complains always says she loves the good old traditional food Fish and chips Friday and Sunday dinners. Overall my opinion is it's like a home from home. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. They also have activities going on throughout the year and include everyone summer fete and Christmas parties. My mam loves them all
Thank you so much for such a lovely review. I will make sure that the team receive your kind compliments.

We are extremely dissatisfied with the care provided to our mother, who has dementia and suffered a fall within approximately 30 hours of being admitted. This is a period during which a new resident should be closely monitored to ensure their safety, particularly when they are vulnerable and...
The handling of the incident, including the follow-up communication, did not meet the standard of professionalism or clarity we expected. This has severely damaged our confidence in the home's ability to provide appropriate support.
My faith in the care system has been fractured.
Our situation was defined as a crisis situation and this care home was supposed to ease that situation but it made it a hundred times worse than it already was.
Regrettably, we cannot recommend this care home based on our experience.

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns, all feedback is welcomed and allows us to continually develop our service. We are truly sorry to hear about your experience and distress this has caused you and your family. The safety and wellbeing of our residents is our highest priority, and we understand how upsetting it must have been for your mother to experience a fall so soon after admission.
We want to assure you that we are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, including the monitoring in place at the time and the communication that followed. Your feedback highlights areas where we could possibly improve , and it will be taken extremely seriously as part of this review.
We recognise the trust families place in us, especially during what you described as a crisis situation, and we are sorry that you feel we did not meet your expectations. We are committed to learning from this and to ensuring that any shortcomings are addressed promptly and

I wish to convey my sincere thanks to the staff who helped my sister prepare for rehearsals in advance of her appearance and accompanied her on her performance playing the harmonica on the Dementias Talent Show at Darlington Theatre.
