My mother has been a resident for the past 3/4 years due to dementia and I can not fault the attention and attitudes of the staff. To me they look after my mam like she was their own. My mother suffers terribly with chest infections and they are always quick to pick up on it when she starts becoming
unwell. They sort out the matron and always let me know what the outcome is and the tablets etc that she is getting. The cleanliness of the home is great. I never see anything out of place or dust anywhere. Even the cleaning staff are super friendly and stop and chat with my mam. I also have to say the food is amazing as well. My mam eats everything. Never complains always says she loves the good old traditional food Fish and chips Friday and Sunday dinners. Overall my opinion is it's like a home from home. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. They also have activities going on throughout the year and include everyone summer fete and Christmas parties. My mam loves them all

Dad arrived in Dene Grange the day before Christmas Eve, a very emotional day for us as a family and of course Dad. The staff were all so supportive, caring and reassuring and made Dad so welcome. In the early days Dad took a little while to settle due to his Dementia and health issues.
I can happily
say Dad has settled into Dene grange.
He is very well cared for always nicely dressed and clean. The staff are amazing with Dad.
Food is very good. Dad's room is always clean and tidy. We can visit anytime of the day and made welcome.
I must also add we are so lucky to have Dene Grange in Hexham.

Pleasant surroundings, neat and well kept rooms and common areas. Food and drinks good, but most importantly , the staff are brilliant.
Really attentive and bend over backwards to Care for clients. Christine the Manager runs a tight ship but is always available to help. Cilla and Faye and Kate were
brilliant with my dad ( as were all staff), and were especially good when it came to managing his final days. Nursing Care and GP Attendance are well coordinated and all in all his stay there for 10 months was very pleasant.

Westview Lodge Care Home

My mum received excellent care and physio. All the staff were friendly. However, the major complaint - the food was rubbish (my mum's words), she couldn't eat it. It was always too cold, even when she asked for it to be warmed up. She survived on the food we prepared and took in for her.
