West View Lodge Care Home in Hartlepool has been wonderful for my father. The standard of care is exceptional, and the staff's positive attitude and genuine compassion make all the difference. Special mention to Georgia, whose dedication and attentiveness to my father have been outstanding. The whole team are professional, caring, and invested in residents' wellbeing. We're truly grateful and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
Thank you so much for your review. We have passed on your kind words to the Westview Lodge team.

My mum received excellent care and physio. All the staff were friendly. However, the major complaint - the food was rubbish (my mum's words), she couldn't eat it. It was always too cold, even when she asked for it to be warmed up. She survived on the food we prepared and took in for her.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home . All feedback is welcomed and allows us to continually develop our service . we are deeply sorry that your Mum experienced this and I will of course raise it with the Westview team immediately .

My elderly mother received care and physio after a very bad fall. The staff were lovely and all treat my mam with total respect. Any questions were always quickly answered by the seniors on site. We, as a family have no complaints at all. The physios were brilliant. Mam has said that if she needed rehab again - she would request to go there.
Thank you for your kind words . Your Mam will always be welcome at Westview Lodge . I will share this with the team .
Care given to my mother is first rate from all the staff, care workers, cleaners, cooks, matron, management and office staff. All know my mother and speak to her, they know me. She is well cared for and all her needs are met in a happy environment, warm and well fed.

John has settled well and is happy and likes his room and staff, joins in activities and is happy watching TV in his room. Before John came into West View Lodge he was in his flat and just had quiet routine with family and help from cares.

My son has been a resident in West View Care home for approx 3 months now. I have found the level of care he received from the staff exemplary, without fault. They are very attentive, cheerful and go out of their way to help/assist him at all times. The room is very clean bright and has all storage needed. The food is fantastic, range each day to choose from. The management are always chatty/approachable. In my opinion the home is one the best available in Hartlepoole.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home. We are delighted at how well your son has settled into Westview life. Your kind words are greatly appreciated, and I will, of course, share them with the team.

Although on the whole this review is overall satisfactory over the last month the obnoxious smell upstairs has been disgusting. The patient toilets were nowhere near as hygenic as they should be. Would suggest an automatic air freshener. A sink and tap is needed in upstairs dining room to facilitate tea/coffee making.
I can't praise the staff enough for their professionalism and above all their sheer kindness. They did everything they possibly could to make my father comfortable and created a very homely atmosphere. They were even very kind to me as a visitor. It was very reassuring to know that my father was being checked on throughout the day and night and that if he needed anything or had any discomfort the staff would immediately deal with it. The staff have a very demanding job and they do it with never ending cheerfulness and kindness. They are amazing.
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind and thoughtful review of Westview Lodge Care Home. We are deeply touched by your words and so pleased to hear that our team provided your father with comfort and care in a warm, homely atmosphere. It means a lot to us that you also felt supported and...

I have heard people talk about West View Lodge being awful. I cannot praise every single staff member enough. They have all respected and looked after my mother amazingly during her 2 weeks on the assessment wing. My mother has nothing but praise and gratefulness for all their efforts. I would certainly recommend staying here to everyone.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We're thrilled to hear that your mother had such a positive experience during her time at West View Lodge. Our team is dedicated to providing respectful and compassionate care, and it's fantastic to know that their efforts have made such a difference. Your recommendation means the world to us, and we're grateful for your support!
When I was told I was coming here, I though oh no I can't go there, but on coming here I've realised what a lovely place it is. The staff from the highest to the lowest have been so kind and helpful and have helped me in so many ways.

Some days it was a bit difficult to get parked but as soon as the front door to the home was opened you were met with a big smile. No matter who opened the door. Everyone from cleaners to management and nursing staff were courteous and happy to help. My dad can be difficult (I know) but they all just took it in their stride and kept on smiling and chatting to him. Everyone who works there deserves a medal as big as a dustbin lid! Thank you all for being so kind to my dad and his family.
