Both me and my wife and are at the home promised rooms close but separated by two corridors the length of the building, I can not walk and my wife has dementia. I had a heart attack and told to have early nights, no way I do speak out about it, but to no avail, I am 92, and my wife 87. I would have
to speak to somebody to put my side of the problems.
Thursday night - Friday morning: Kept my wife up til 12:30.
Friday night - Saturday morning: Put a night dress on my wife and she was left in a cold room with just me waited till 9:15 no one to take her to bed so I took her up in the lift the lead catrer was stood talking to another and said I had no right to take my wife to her room. My room was not serviced toilet was left for 1 1/2 days, no towel or face cloth or clean night clothes. No service done to the room.
Went to bed at 9:15 Friday night and woke up next morning, did not feel to good. No breakfast or pills. No dinner or pills. No tea or pills. No food or pills all day. Had a problem with my bowles and needed help. They came and washed me and changed me. It was then 9:00 so no food or pills for 24hours, why?
One girl made me some food and a cold drink.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are sorry to discover that you are feeling this way. We understand how important it is for you and your wife to be near each other, and we appreciate how difficult it must be given your individual health needs. While our team must balance tailored care plans for each resident, we know this can sometimes cause frustration especially when expectations dont match reality. Your concerns about care routines, room servicing, and communication have been shared with both the Home Manager and Regional Manager. They have investigated and taken steps to address the points raised. Were especially sorry for any distress caused by how support was delivered over the weekend. Please be assured we take these matters seriously. If there is anything further we can do to support you and your wife, we would welcome a direct conversation. The management team remains available and committed to improving your experience. Thanks again for your feedback.

What a fabulous place! My dad was welcomed with open arms and all the staff genuinely care about the people they care for. There is a real culture of care at Hillview, and every single member of staff treats the residents with love and respect. We are so grateful to them. They take a real interest in
each and every person there so that they can give them the best care. Highly recommend.

My mum has been a resident in Hillview since April 24. When she first arrived, she was very anxious and withdrawn. In a short space of time she was so settled and happy. I can not fault the care and attention of every single member of staff. Their dedication to their job is outstanding. To see my mum
so well cared for is wonderful. Thank you so much.

My gran came in for respite at the beginning of September; she has now become permanent. I come in to see my gran a couple of times a week, and she seems happier in herself. The care staff are always kind and professional. I love how you have a resident as your meet and greet; he always welcomes me
with a cheeky smile and hello.

My brother went into Hillview Care Home in October. He was not eating and was very ill. He is dependent on alcohol. Whilst in Hillview the care he received was excellent. He started to eat and alcohol was monitored. When he came out he was well taking medication regularly, eating and really happy. The
staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. It is home from home. He is now home and still making progress. Thanks to the care he received.
