The Lodge Residential Care Home

I am very impressed with The Lodge care home. The staff have all been very attentive and in mams words to her social worker they are all 'caring'. All the staff I've met regardless of job title are friendly to mam and every request has been replied to with a positive response.. The home is clean and an events time table is up each week to keep family and friends well Informed.

There is an abundance of activities going on during the day which my nan used to enjoy very much. Thankyou to the lodge for making a big difference in our lives. I'm so thankful to the fabulous carers who looked after Nan so well.

I have been more than happy with the service and care carried out at The Lodge. Knowing my wife Pamela is safe and cared for. Staff take a personal interest and care of all the residents and attention to indevigual requirement and diet. Entertainment is provided daily for those able to attend. Meals are plentyfull and varied with choices for each meal. Staff are always there to residents who have difficulty in feeding themsevles.

Very welcoming and approachable in all areas of care. It is still early days, so cannot review activities and trips out. I feel comfortable that my father-in-law is safe and his needs are met. Staff are friendly and helpful on every visit.

My mam has been in care home for 2 1/2 years. Staff are very supportive and good with my mam. Staff are very caring and all my mam's needs are met. The staff are very supportive with my mam and my dad during his visits to see my mam. My dad enjoys the entertainment as much as my mam.

The service has been excellent - first-rate care, friendly staff, constant support. My mother loves the staff - she says they are so attentive. She also loves the food! She has a lovely room, with pleasant views over lawn and trees. She recently had a mild seizure and had immediate professional help from staff and paramedics.

The care my mother has had since arriving has always been excelent.

I can not speak more highly of the Warden and her amazing staff. My mam is more like my old mam happy laughing and looking well. This is a home from home where the elderly are treat with dignity and respect, I hear the food is great to.

My mother has been in this care home for approx 1 month. She seems to have settled well. Staff are very supportive. She has dementia and walking difficulties, and can be quite agitated at times. Staff are very good with her. It is early days, but I am sure she is getting the care she needs.

My mother loves living at The Lodge Care Home. Although quite deaf, she enjoys the company of the staff and other relatives. All staff are very caring and all my mother's needs are met.

Overall, I am pleased with the care and attention my Mother gets in the care home, also the staff are very friendly, which leaves me at ease.

My mum was welcomed by all staff on duty on date of arrival. All introduced themselves, staff very caring. Food plentiful but not very appetising. Chef could do better.

I find The Lodge Care Home very good. My mother is a resident in the home and she is well looked after giving me and the rest of the family peace of mind.

Outstanding care home! I cannot rate The Lodge Care Home high enough - the staff are outstanding and always a high volume of staff too - with great sense of respect and dignity shown and they all have so much fun too! From initial respite care my Godmother has moved permanently into The Lodge and we have been allowed to make some changes to her room to allow more bespoke storage - feel so relieved she is in safe hands.

My only fault is the dining room floor, scuff marks from the zimmer frames and wheel chairs. I could not of found a better care home for my mam. She absolutely loves living there. The staff are amazing and so caring. The food and the activities are excellent. Faultless.

The garden has great potential and could benefit from TLC and colour.

My mum has been living in The Lodge for about a year now and she loves it and the staff. They are always friendly and attentive. The rooms are always clean and mum loves the food. I would recommend The Lodge if you or a loved one is in need of care in a warm and friendly environment.

My father has been at The Lodge for almost 2 years now. He thinks of the staff as his family. The home is very clean the staff are very friendly and nothing seems to phase them. My father is very well cared for. The staff from domestic, maintenance, carers, management and administration are all caring and love the residents. I am extremely pleased with the care my father is given.

I cannot speak more highly of the genuine care and concern shown when my Dad was failing in health, particularly the lady who explained her concerns to me or brother and liaised with the GP to ensure end-of-life arrangements and medication was discussed and put in place. Dad died (quite surprisingly) shortly within a few days without pain and surrounded by caring staff. Their support in his last days and to us was so caring. Dad enjoyed his time, treating his stay like a hotel. The strict Covid rules robbed us of precious years and his 80th birthday with only me being allowed in his room.
