The rooms are comfortable and clean and spacious with lovely views of the garden and surrounding area. There is a lovely atmosphere everytime you enter the building.
The staff, from the kitchen to the cleaners to the carers to the manager, each and every one of them made my nans stay here a joy. Such kind and compassionate people, i'll never forget.
The other residents are lovely here, everyone is clean and tidy too because the carers make sure to take the time to get them all spruced up ready for their day. The food is delicious too.
There is an abundance of activities going on during the day which my nan used to enjoy very much. Thankyou to the lodge for making a big difference in our lives. I'm so thankful to the fabulous carers who looked after Nan so well.

Outstanding care home! I cannot rate The Lodge Care Home high enough - the staff are outstanding and always a high volume of staff too - with great sense of respect and dignity shown and they all have so much fun too! From initial respite care my Godmother has moved permanently into The Lodge and we have been allowed to make some changes to her room to allow more bespoke storage - feel so relieved she is in safe hands.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your feedback. We are so pleased to hear that God Mother is well looked after and that you are happy with her care. It means a great deal to us that families feel confident and reassured about their loved one's well-being
My only fault is the dining room floor, scuff marks from the zimmer frames and wheel chairs. I could not of found a better care home for my mam. She absolutely loves living there. The staff are amazing and so caring. The food and the activities are excellent. Faultless.

My father has been at The Lodge for almost 2 years now. He thinks of the staff as his family. The home is very clean the staff are very friendly and nothing seems to phase them. My father is very well cared for. The staff from domestic, maintenance, carers, management and administration are all caring and love the residents. I am extremely pleased with the care my father is given.
Thank you for your wonderful review. We're thrilled to hear that your father feels at home and well cared for at The Lodge. Our dedicated team appreciates your kind words, and we're honoured to be entrusted with his care
It was so clean (and didn’t smell of anything I’d have expected - it was all fresh and clean).
The residents’ doors all have names on and all staff we saw addressed everyone gently by name. All the staff were respectful and kind to anyone we met as we were being shown to the room. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff- we asked for a vase and they went to find one yet they were clearly busy. The resident we were visiting was clearly well cared for.
Thank you to all of the staff.
Many thanks for taking the time to review our home. Your kind words are greatly appreciated and I will of course pass them on to The Lodge family.
I cannot speak more highly of the genuine care and concern shown when my Dad was failing in health, particularly the lady who explained her concerns to me or brother and liaised with the GP to ensure end-of-life arrangements and medication was discussed and put in place. Dad died (quite surprisingly) shortly within a few days without pain and surrounded by caring staff. Their support in his last days and to us was so caring. Dad enjoyed his time, treating his stay like a hotel. The strict Covid rules robbed us of precious years and his 80th birthday with only me being allowed in his room.
Dear Susan, many thanks for taking the time to review our home. It was our pleasure to care for your Dad and he is sadly missed. Your kind words are greatly appreciated and I will of course pass them on to The Lodge family.
I have always found the staff at The Lodge Residential Care Home very friendly and helpful. They looked after my mum with loving care. My mum was always happy to be in their care.
Many thanks for taking the time to review our home. It was always our pleasure to care for your mum. Your kind words are greatly appreciated and I will of course pass them on to The Lodge family.
