The Lodge Residential Care Home

I have always found the staff at The Lodge Residential Care Home very friendly and helpful. They looked after my mum with loving care. My mum was always happy to be in their care.

Since my mother-in-law entered The Lodge, she's been treated with care, support and consideration under very difficult circumstances as my mother-in-law has, at times, been very challenging, but their care and support have never wavered. The staff have also been kind and supportive to my husband and myself. The place is well run and very clean with hardworking and very pleasant staff. I've nothing but praise for them for doing a very difficult job.

I came to The Lodge residential care home for short-term care after I came out of hospital with a broken ankle. I just stayed for just over two weeks and I can honestly say hand on heart, everyone in The Lodge could not do enough for you. You only had to press your call button and they would be with you in next to no time. Always willing to help you with whatever you need help with. When entering The Lodge, my first impression was it looked like a first-class hotel. The decor was lovely, so bright and appealing. I have no hesitation but to recommend it. Yours sincerely.

My mother was only at The Lodge Residential Care Home for a short time. The care and support given not only to Mam but to myself and my husband were immeasurable. The manager and her staff were all amazing. As my home is in Australia, I obviously was worried about my mam's care ad failing health, but the manager and her staff made me feel completely confident that Mam would be cared for. Sadly, Mam passed away, yet the staff have contacted me on several occasions since with offers of support.

As my mother was 92 and quite independent, until recently, the change for her is/was traumatic. However, after three episodes of illness during the night it became obvious that independent living was beyond her abilities. The worries of nighttime accidents and illness were a constant problem for relatives. The Lodge has treated Mam well and she is still in a period of adaption. The relief of the family from the constant care provided is a source of comfort.

After rapid illness and a month in hospital my mother was admitted to The Lodge Residential Care Home for respite care. The staff were very welcoming and did their best to care for our mother, encouraging her to be more independent while also listening and responding to us regarding her needs. A very caring attitude from all staff and management. The staff were always easy to talk to and were happy to contact the GP and other medical professionals, if we had any concerns. Our mam responded well to the staff and knew she was being looked after, even through serious bouts of confusion and other challenging behaviour she got the best possible attention and we always felt supported by the staff who only wanted the best for her. Mam has now moved on to other urgent care but we are grateful to the team at The Lodge Residential Care Home and thanked them for their continued support and kindness shown to us all.

Really happy with the care provided for my mother-in-law. She is really happy and content and so relaxed. The home can't do enough for her. I will be telling my friends and family how she has been cared for.

Providing first-class care and support for my mother who has Alzheimer's. The home provides a clean and safe environment during this difficult time, due to ongoing covid in homes. Although visiting is restricted, the home keeps the family updated on how my mother is coping in the home.

As soon as I walked into The Lodge, I knew it was the right place to care for my beloved mother-in-law. So homely, clean and a well presented place. The facilities are incredible. Plenty of activities for residents. Staff are always on hand to assist residents and visitors. The manager and her staff are outstanding with their skills and genuine care. Would definitely recommend The Lodge as a place to take care of your loved ones.

My father-in-law has been a resident in The Lodge for three months and is very happy. Standards and care are very high. The safety is excellent, and we, the family, are kept well informed of his condition. When we visit, we are given the warmest welcome and all the present Covid tests, etc. The staff are very pleasant and friendly. We feel very confident that Dad is safe, happy, content and cared for; he loves the companionship, food and feeling of home.

My very elderly mother has been treated with care and compassion and my mother is full of praise for all the staff who have looked after her so well. Thank you for your kindness.

My father has been settled since he arrived in 2019. We have noticed a change for the better since the new owners took over in 2020. The decoration in the main rooms has been improved, making them more pleasant for the residents.

From first arriving at The Lodge Residential Care Home Mam has received love and care from the entire team and been her family when we have been unable to be with her. Lots of entertainment and activities for her to enjoy. Lovely team - always happy to help. Happy staff = happy home.

This is my first experience with the care home sector and as of yet, I'm quite happy with the care and understanding my husband is currently receiving.

I would not hesitate to recommend the care home. My mam gets the best care. The staff know my mam's needs. They take the time to get to know the residents, their likes and dislikes etc in every area of their lives; hobbies, work past etc which is great because it means they can always have a chat with the staff. Honestly, it's not easy Mam being in a home but I know she is in the best ever place.

Since removing my father from a previous care home because he was treated really bad and he was so unhappy there, he is a changed man since he went into the Lodge Residential Care Home. The staff are so loving and caring; I feel happy to leave him there and go home with peace of mind. My Dad is smiling again thanks to the staff.

The manager and her staff showed care and compassion when caring for my wife until her passing. We will be forever grateful for the time we were allowed to spend with my wife at the most difficult time. I would recommend this care home to anyone.

I am so thankful at how caring and professional all the staff were with my mam when she was in their care. They made things easier for us when my mam passed and gave us time and space to be with her until the end.
