My mother has a fabulous room which is very nicely kept.
The home is a beautiful building with lovely grounds to walk in.
It would be even better there is there could be a few more Welsh speakers on the staff but I appreciate this is probably difficult.
The food could be a little bit more varied
perhaps but overall, it is very good.
When someone is ill the staff are extremely good.

Staff are approachable, conscientious and caring. Their patience with residents is immense. The home is clean and the food is of a high standard.
Bedroom furniture (other than bed) could be better. Entrance drive needs re-surfacing.

I am extremely happy with the care that my mother receives in this home. The staff are all lovely and respectful towards my mother. She is very happy here. My only issue is the state of the driveway - this does not encourage families or friends to visit, I'm sure it must be a very uncomfortable drive
in an ambulance.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.846) out of 10 for Llanrhaeadr Hall is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 18 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.896 for Llanrhaeadr Hall is calculated as follows: ( (191 Excellents x 5) + (18 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 211 Ratings = 4.896
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.95 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Llanrhaeadr Hall is based on 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.95
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 39 registered maximum number of service users is 7.8, which has been reached with 18 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Registered Manager Joined: 2020

I joined Roberts Homes in 2020 as the deputy manager, later becoming the register manager in August 2023.

I have worked within the care sector for over 25 years, focusing predominantly in dementia care. I started my care career as a care assistant and have achieved all relevant training and qualifications to become a registered manager.

I am proud to work with a company that encourages and supports staff to progress within their own career.

Working within the care sector is a unique and rewarding experience, one of the most fulfilling aspects of working in the care is the personal connection with individuals and their families.

Working in the care sector is more than just a job, it’s rewarding and requires genuine desire to help others and improve their quality of life.

It’s a privilege to be able to offer support and help make a real and positive difference in their lives.

Llanrhaeadr Hall has a fantastic team who go above and beyond their role to help and support all individuals who require our care and support.

Our team is made up of a diverse group of individuals who each bring their unique background, experiences and knowledge to our service.

We have colleges with many years of experience acting as mentors and guiding new members of staff who are new to the sector. Together, we create a dynamic environment where everyone can grow and contribute.

We offer an open-door policy and welcome anybody to come and meet my team and me. If they are considering a future care placement, we aim to help answer any questions they may have.

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2013

I am proud to have started my career with Roberts Homes in 2013. They are a company that promotes, supports and encourages development and growth within. I initially started my journey as a night carer before progressing to a senior carer and now the Deputy Manager.

Over the years, I’ve developed a deep passion for delivering person-centred care and supporting individuals living with a diagnosis of dementia.

My experience as a carer has given me a strong understanding of what it takes to provide high-quality quality compassionate care for the residents with their day-to-day living and how to deliver this in a person-centred, dignified and caring manner.

In my role, I work alongside the registered manager ensuring the daily running of the home, ensuring residents feel safe, valued and respected, and their dignity is maintained by offering support to them, their families and also to our team.
