Chestnut House specialises in support people with dementia and offers support, the home features a garden and conservatory for residents to use any time.

Chestnut House has a number of en-suite bedrooms and residents have access to spacious communal wet rooms. Bedrooms are pleasantly decorated each unique in design and bedrooms are cleaned and maintained on a daily basis.

Staff working at the home are professionally trained to a high standard to ensure that each users needs can be met and monitored.

The food served at Chestnut House is freshly prepared and offered on a four week menu rotation with the ability to cater for specialist dietary requirements.

Since mum has been in Chestnut House (7 months) she has settled in lovely. Gone has all her anxiety she has from suffering from, even though sometimes she doesn't acknowledge the family. She always has a great laugh with all the staff who go above and beyond to make her happy. We know she is in safe
hands and well looked after/after the previous year when Alzheimer's took over her life completely we knew we had to make the right decision on placing her here. Waiting for a place for my dad who is in another home at the moment, so they can spend the rest of their lives together in a homely atmosphere.

I am so relieved to see how happy and well cared for my mum is in the few months she has been a resident. The management and all the staff are extremely caring and very approachable, it's always a very difficult and upsetting time for the family of loved ones when having to make the decision about their
care, finding somewhere loved ones will be happy.


Chestnut House is highly recommended and are doing a brilliant job, there are like family.

Chestnut House, Hope, since its recent revamp, is a more welcoming home. Residents seem happy and staff are always accommodating to both residents and their family or friends. Management and staff are approachable at all times.

Chestnut House has a happy, safe atmosphere with excellent, friendly members of staff. With a few improvements, the overall standard would be beyond excellent. Often, when visiting my nan, I see her happy, smiling and laughing, which is all we wish for. It would be nice to see more activities however,
and for my nan to be encouraged to participate. As a family, we would also like to see her bedroom improved.

Chestnut House is a very caring home, clean, friendly, professional and so so lovely to all residents. The staff are so helpful and kind that the home is so lucky to have such dedicated staff. Nothing is too much trouble to them I am so happy we are able to have this choice, everything is great.

Very satisfied with overall standard and care. I have no cause for complaint and am very satisfied with care given to my mother. All staff do a very good job under difficult circumstances.

My late mother came to Chestnut House five months ago and our family felt that all the staff treated her with great understanding and dedication. During the last two weeks of her life -October 2016 - she, and us as a family, were treated with care and compassion. Thank you so much.

It is over 12 months since my last review, so what has changed? Some of the excellent carers have left but fortunately replaced by equally excellent carers who without exception go that extra mile in their care of the residents. On a personal note, my wife has improved beyond recognition from the care
she has received. I still visit daily and speak as you find you just cannot ask for more. Thank you.

My mother came to this home after three months in hospital following an accident. She was no longer mobile, could not feed herself and generally seemed to be fading away. Her improvement due to the care and support she has received form all the staff at the home , has been amazing and the dementia seems
to have stabilized. The staff are always caring, cheerful and friendly and always respond promptly to any requests. I am so thankful that a place was available for her at Chestnut House.
