Lovely home and lovely staff always made welcome. Mum is a bit confused sometimes but calls the place home. The staff always have time to answer any questions and are always kind and caring to mum. The home is being spruced up at moment which is looking very smart. I have only good things to say about
Chestnut House.

Rooms are currently being decorated so hopefully after completion I could score a 5. Staff are so friendly, always around and always willing to support. Activities could be better although I know they are trying hard to provide activities groups of residents can enjoy. Mum does like having her nails
done. Mum isn't always spotlessly clean, I know from staff they try to wash her daily but can't force her. Mum knows she should shower but says she is too tired to. She enjoys the food and chef does provide alternatives if needed. I am very content mum is safe, cared for and in the best place for her. There are several rooms and mum is free to go where she wants. As visitors me and my sister are made very welcome.

Staff at Sherdley Manor are kind, patient and most have a good sense of humour that they share with residents. Accommodation is very clean and spacious, and the new outdoor patio area will offer some welcome change from the lounge for those who are unable to take trips out. The home is in the process
of developing a stronger activities programme, and it is great to see some external entertainers starting to visit and engage with the residents.
The home manager is very approachable, welcomes all feedback and takes great pride in the home and the progress Sherdley Manor is making. She has secured ocassional use of a minibus to take residents on small excursions. Food at Sherdley Manor is plentiful and good quality. I am pleased with the care which is provided to my Mum.

When mum arrived at Southern House she was quiet ill and bedridden initially she went downhill but since being here she has gone from strength to strength. Through the interaction of the staff and the care she is now able to hold a good conversation she is also able to recognise many more people.

Everyone is polite and my mum's room is clean. The premises smells fresh and the main area and lounge is well kept. My mum eats well and is in the main lounge area on the days she feels up to it. It's very bright environment which I feel is important.

As a family, we are very pleased with the loving care and attention our mother receives at Southern House. There are numerous activities to stimulate the residents throughout the year, many are supported by the families which we also enjoy. The food provided is nutritious and home cooked and always
fresh. In my mothers words 'the place is always clean and tidy'

We met with the manager at mums home when it was decided that mum needed immediate respite care due to loss of mobility due to meds change. This was organised quickly. The staff where very welcoming and put us at our ease. Mum was very happy with the level of care she received from all the care staff,
and soon started to feel better. I would definitely recommend The Whitehouse and hope and hope that if needed again they have availability.

Dad has been in the Whitehouse for 8 weeks and is extremely well cared for. Any health issues arising are spotted/acted on immediately and I am kept fully informed. Dad is a WW2 veteran and the staff at the home respect and honour him, ensuring he is turned out immaculately for any military events.
Thanks to the staff he is regularly showered, wears clean clothes on a daily basis, is well fed and mentally stimulated by taking part in various social activities especially loving mother toddler visits.

My husband has complex disabilities, staff have really tried to meet his needs, especially the activities co-ordinator. She has worked with his interests and also taken into account that he is totally blind & ensuring he takes part in activities as much as possible. Overall, staff are courteous and
respectful of residents and their families. Issues are quickly resolved and the management team are very good at resolving problems quickly. I've had a couple of issues, each time I've expressed my concerns they've been dealt with quickly and efficiently.
I do feel that the biggest problem is that they do seem to be short staffed on a regular basis and this does impact on care sometimes, though all staff try their best to meet residents care needs. Food overall is excellent, but being without a chef at weekends does impact on what food is available at the tea time meal, especially in meeting food preferences. Overall, we are happy with care given at Southern House.

My Mother was this week transfered to Southern House from a Care Home in Llandudno.
On arrival at Southern House she was made to feel welcome. Staff gave her a cup of tea and introduced themselves.
Discussed Lunch to ensure it was something she likes.
So far nothing but praise for the Staff and facilities.
Mother has settled in quickly and feels relaxed and at Home.
Well done and thank you.

Mom was unable to cope with care at home so she became a resident in 2018 and was here for approx 7 years. My main concern was that she be safe and take her meds, but she got so much more at Southern House. The staff all gave her so much care and affection and it gave all of us so much peace of mind
to know she was looked after so well. Big thank you from all of us.
