Dad was 96 when he moved into Southern House. I was so pleased he was able to go there as their care of/for Mum, until she passed away, was really good only several years earlier.
It was at Southern House that Dad found a new lease of life. I shall always be so truly grateful to all of the staff -
for the last 10 months of Dad's life he was as content as he could be without Mum. He was looked after and cared for so well by some genuinely wonderful people. 2 members of Southern House team even attended his funeral!
I really would, and do, recommend Southern House. They genuinely do care about their residents and simply want the best for them.
Thank you for all you did for Dad, it is appreciated beyond words!

First let me say that although my mother is physically quite frail, she has full capacity and continues to make her own decisions - including where she lives.
After an extended period spent in hospital, my mother moved into The White House with a view to permanent care.
Initially, mother was rather
nervous and insecure. However, these feelings soon changed to feelings of beeing safe, cared for and being valued as an individual. Mother is not slow in voicing her opinions and staff always respond positively to her wishes. No matter how busy staff are, they always respond with a smile and kindness. This includes the Home Manager and her admin, who are so generous with their time.
Throughout the environment, there is evidence of good practice. This includes visual prompts/displays to promote understanding.
Whenever I visit my mother, she is usually engaged in some social activity, which has had a positive effect on her emotional wellbeing.
I am so grateful that mother enjoys such care.

Mum has been at Chestnut House for over a month now. Whilst we were concerned about mum going to a care home the wonderful team made the transition from hospital as easy as possible. They are caring and kind. They treat each resident individually and with respect. They have been tenacious in troubleshooting
mums issues; finding space that works for her, offering ideas on eating and tempting her with different food to stimulate her appetite. They are on top of her medical matters and proactive in engaging professionals to support her.
The staff are lovely human beings individually and work as a great team creating a "home like" environment to benefit all residents.

My husband has been with Southern House for the past 17months now, during that time his complex needs have become more servere but throughout the time and during his deterioration he has been well cared for overall and his needs have been met. Cooks ensure that he gets food, he doesn't eat a late afternoon
meal they ensure he gets a slightly larger portion of food at lunchtime, they also ask every day around 4pm if he wants anything.
He is now bedridden and unable to join in activities, however, Ashleigh the activities co-ordinator goes into see him each day, she knows all the residents really well and takes time to involve everyone, she really is amazing and lights up the residents lives on a daily basis, always has a smile for every single residents and their family and friends.
The lounge and dining room are well decorated and bright and cheerful, I would like to see repairs done to my hubby's bedroom, overall, this is a lovely, warm, welcoming home, thank you

My dad wasn't with them very long but in the time he was there he was happy and well looked after which is what we all hope for from a care home, the staff were absolutely brilliant with his care it seemed like nothing was too much trouble. As I mentioned he wasn't with them very long but the staff
also really went above and beyond with helping us after he passed.

Dad now having been in the Whitehouse, Wrexham for 10 months. In all this time, the quality of his care continues to be exceptional. All I can do is to add to my comments of last June, which are still absolutely relevant. The entire staff do their very, very best for him. Any concerns I may have
for my almost 101 year old Dad, I feel comfortable communicating to the staff who never fail to act upon them. They are equally up front and honest with me regarding every aspect of Dad's care.
I am always made to feel welcome and part of the Whitehouse family and I am able to enjoy some of the many fun activities that are organised for the residents and their loved ones.
The Whitehouse is Dad's home, a place of well-being, safety and familiarity where Dad trusts the team around him. Knowing that Dad is so well cared for by such brilliant professionals gives me enormous peace of mind.

My aunty has been here for over a year now, she has settled in well and made friends with a few of the ladies, Southern House has plenty to offer, with dailey activities with Ashleigh who seems to have really made bonds with each resident individually. The social media is also a fantastic way to keep
up to date what aunty F is up to! A lovely atmosphere and always very clean and well kept!

All the team members we've met have been bright and cheerful and very helpful. My mother has been a resident now for 10 months, has settled in well and we can see she is very well cared for. Plenty of mental and physical stimulation is provided and very thoughtfully planned. Residents are encouraged
to partake in craft activities. Regular entertainment from musicians and drama groups is also programmed. It is reassuring to know that the staff are genuinely caring.

Excellent- from start to finish- all the staff are helpful and welcoming and care a great deal about their clients. When my mum went into care, I would have been lost without their help and guidance. They listened to my call for help and did what they could. Without them there would have been nothing
as doctors, social workers and even charities have no help on how to manage dementia. They were amazing. At the end, which we managed together with mum's GP, the manager changed her shifts to nights to be with my mum so she was never alone. They have little compared to some of the bigger, flasher homes but they are the best!

Lovely home and lovely staff always made welcome. Mum is a bit confused sometimes but calls the place home. The staff always have time to answer any questions and are always kind and caring to mum. The home is being spruced up at moment which is looking very smart. I have only good things to say about
