The lounge and dining room are well decorated and bright and cheerful, I would like to see repairs done to my hubby's bedroom, overall, this is a lovely, warm, welcoming home, thank you

My dad wasn't with them very long but in the time he was there he was happy and well looked after which is what we all hope for from a care home, the staff were absolutely brilliant with his care it seemed like nothing was too much trouble. As I mentioned he wasn't with them very long but the staff also really went above and beyond with helping us after he passed.

Mum extremely well cared for and happy here. Nothing is too much trouble. Fantastic selection of entertainment always on offer, keeping residents engaged and stimulated. Personal care top notch and beauty therapies such as hair and nails always a priority, helping residents feel happy and refreshed. So nice to know that mum is happy in her lovely new home and room.

Amazing experience, every time I visit my mum all staff are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Ashley has them all enjoying so many activities, she is so innovative and the centre of keeping my mum happy.

All the staff are brilliant and the activities and festivities that are organised throughout the year for the residents are absolutely great. Very friendly, caring environment with well being and safety being optimum priority.

My aunty has been here for over a year now, she has settled in well and made friends with a few of the ladies, Southern House has plenty to offer, with dailey activities with Ashleigh who seems to have really made bonds with each resident individually. The social media is also a fantastic way to keep up to date what aunty F is up to! A lovely atmosphere and always very clean and well kept!

All the team members we've met have been bright and cheerful and very helpful. My mother has been a resident now for 10 months, has settled in well and we can see she is very well cared for. Plenty of mental and physical stimulation is provided and very thoughtfully planned. Residents are encouraged to partake in craft activities. Regular entertainment from musicians and drama groups is also programmed. It is reassuring to know that the staff are genuinely caring.

When mum arrived at Southern House she was quiet ill and bedridden initially she went downhill but since being here she has gone from strength to strength. Through the interaction of the staff and the care she is now able to hold a good conversation she is also able to recognise many more people.

We as a family are pleased to see our mum so happy and content to be a resident here. The staff are very kind and hardworking. Mum enjoys all the events on offer and we are grateful that she is so well looked after. Many thanks.

Everyone is polite and my mum's room is clean. The premises smells fresh and the main area and lounge is well kept. My mum eats well and is in the main lounge area on the days she feels up to it. It's very bright environment which I feel is important.

Every time I visit, staff all friendly and welcoming. Facilities are soon, rooms clean, residents seem happy. I am old food is good. Plenty of seating down stairs TVs on downstairs for residents.

As a family, we are very pleased with the loving care and attention our mother receives at Southern House. There are numerous activities to stimulate the residents throughout the year, many are supported by the families which we also enjoy. The food provided is nutritious and home cooked and always fresh. In my mothers words 'the place is always clean and tidy'

Mom was unable to cope with care at home so she became a resident in 2018 and was here for approx 7 years. My main concern was that she be safe and take her meds, but she got so much more at Southern House. The staff all gave her so much care and affection and it gave all of us so much peace of mind to know she was looked after so well. Big thank you from all of us.
