A warm welcome and exceptional care provided by staff and nurses, highly recommended. This home is very caring all round and is highly recommended by locals and all whom visit. A very sort after home for all.

Friendly staff, manager really positive and easy to talk to. Would like someone on reception on a weekend, kept ringing, no one answering the phone. The meals looked good and nutritious. The resident needed help with eating and this was done well.

My sister is treated with dignity and understanding. I have observed a number of staff who are pleasant and gentle with my sister.
The manager is approachable, and my impression of her is she manages the staff well.

The staff and management are amazing.
The staff are very caring and compassionate.
My dad sadly passed away, but the end-of-life care and treatment were fantastic. Nurses kept him pain-free, and the staff kept him well looked after.
The new manager kept us informed and up to date.
Home and bedroom
are so clean and tidy.

This care home is warm, friendly and inviting. The staff take time to engage with my mum, who has vascular dementia, and Mum recognises them and greets them with a smile. Mum's needs are met with great willingness. The staff are truly amazing.

My grandad was admitted because he was falling at home, and my nan could not cope.
My grandad was a very proud man and had only ever lived with one person, which was my nan.
He became extremely ill and required nursing needs. Unfortunately, we, as a family, had to make a difficult decision to place
him into a nursing home.
After viewing several different homes within the area and meeting the managers, we decided Southern House was the ideal place for him.
Since then, the staff/nurses and manager have been absolutely amazing and taking great care of my grandad.

Staff were all very kind to my husband at Southern House. He loved his room and enjoyed looking out of the window and watching the traffic go by.
The room was always warm and cosy. Staff all made our family welcome.

The home is excellent. The care my husband gets is outstanding.
The nurses are great and passionate; they attend to all his needs.
The care staff are patient with him as he can be challenging at times.
The new manager is so approaching, and nothing is too much for her.
My husband's bedroom is
really big, which we love as we have a large family who visits.

My husband has been in Southern House since September 2022.
He has very poor mobility and requires a lot of care with turning and personal care that, unfortunately, I couldn't do at home.
The whole team have not only been amazing with him, as it's very difficult at times for him as he's a very proud
quiet gentleman but have cared for me and all the family in such a kind way. I can honestly say I was heartbroken that I couldn't cope at home but they understood and made it as easy for us as they possibly could with the transition. They have now become friends and I can't thank them enough.
If you are in a similar situation I can't recommend Southern House enough.

Our mother suffered a massive stroke and had to go into residential care after discharge from the hospital. We were devastated to hear that we would no longer be able to care for her as a family and heartbreaking for my father. It was a difficult time with the added pressure of Covid restrictions, unable
to visits or meet the staff at the home prior to Mums arrival. After several telephone conversations with the manager, the empathy, information and daily updates on how or mothers care needs were second to none. We knew our mother was happy. We had video calls arranged and was able to visit as soon as the pod was available. They have been very strict with their protocol during Covid, and I highly recommend Southern House and their wonderful team of staff.

I haven’t been to see my uncle for a while due to living away and have seen him today and was happy to see that he had been looked after and his room was being done out. The nurse knew him very well and took me to the office to explain about him and take my details etc and took time to talk to me. It’s

The staff at Southern House were fantastic. My dad was only there for about six weeks before he passed away but the care and respect he received was fantastic. Myself and my sister stayed with Dad over his last few days and not only did the staff care about Dad, they were there for us.

My grandma has been a resident at Southern House for years and has been cared for to a point where nothing could be better, the staff and management took all the time she needed, were there when she needed them, and cared for her so well. I rate this home 10/10, every staff member that cares for my
grandma I would like to say thanks for the care and dignity you gave her she is at peace now but right up until the end you kept that 100% care for her and for that I'm very very grateful to you all.

I cannot thank all the staff at Southern House enough for the support, care and compassion that they showed not only to my Dad but also to all the family.
Dad was treated with the utmost respect and dignity and both his wishes and the families were adhered to so that his passing was peaceful and pain-free.
What Southern House may lack in space is more than made up for in the quality all the staff from the managers to the kitchen and laundry staff. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
