My mother has been at Willowdale for approximately 3 years. The staff are so very caring and go above and beyond to cheer my mum up and keep her fulfilled and occupied. They are caring and conscientious. My mum has required a few visited from the doctor recently and the manager / staff have been very prompt with this and kept on top of her condition very well.
Thank you for your kinds words . Mum is a pleasure to have at Willowdale she keeps all the staffs spirits up with her wittiness
When we needed to find respite care for my Mum coming out of hospital, willowdale were brilliant in helping us. Once my mum was settled, she'd decided she wanted to stay as she felt safe and secure .
Thank you for your lovely review ,We are very pleased your Mum has chosen Willowdale .Your Mum has settled very well and mixes well with other residents.
The staff are very friendly with residents and family. The place its self is clean .The care my dad receives is good. Any problems are dealt with promptly by management. My dad sometimes complains bout the portion sizes at meal times.and that he sometimes has a cold cup of tea also when dad asks for a cup of tea he sometimes has a negative response eg Staff to busy or short staffed. Although few negative points my dad has settled down at willowdale and has made friends with some of the residents.
Thank you for your review ,I am glad dad has settled in well and we all can see that he has ,Although dad does ask for cups of tea we have to be mindful as he is on a fluid restriction and we have to monitor his intake for his wellbeing.
I am very happy with the care my mother is receiving at Willowdale.Well run and caring staff. Facilities are good and rooms are pleasant and bright. Meals are varied and nutritious and a choice is always offered.
Thank you for your lovely reply ,We enjoy having mum here and she gets on well with staff and other residents.
Excellent team of staff who have been very helpful and supportive. They have gone above and beyond to ensure our friend has settled in. The home is well-equipped and provides a variety of activities which are tailored to ensure the residents are happy. Highly recommend the home and the staff.
Thank you for your lovely review, we love having your friend here at Willowdale, he has settled in well and is part of the Willowdale family.
Mum is happy and settled at Willowdale and always says how lovely the food is. The staff are all lovely. Mum gets involved with all the activities which helps to keep her mind working. She has always been a very sociable person so she's in her element with her friends in the day room and watching TV.
Thank you for your lovely review of our fantastic home, we love looking after your lovely mum here at Willowdale.
I have nothing but praise and admiration for every member of staff at the home, from the maintenance staff, kitchen, cleaners and caregivers right up to the current manager. They all treat Mum with the dignity, care and respect she deserves on every occasion she needs their support. All staff always smile and welcome our family with welcome arms when we visit, that means we feel that Mum is being looked after wonderfully when we go from there. Recent changes there could have been disruptive to residents and families alike but we have been fully informed and involved in these changes when possible. The new activity coordinator has been a huge asset to the home in terms of keeping residents mentally and physically active where possible. I am aware there are a number of agency staff being used but I feel the home is doing all it can to recruit permanent staff. Thank you to all involved in Mum's care.
Thank your kind words and lovely review of Willowdale. I will share this with our fantastic team. We love looking after your wonderful mum here at Willowdale.
Just been to visit my mum for her 90th birthday and she has had a grand day with birthday cake and Prosecco as well! Mum has been a resident for over 9 years now and the staff are fantastic and always take great care of her needs. The place is always friendly and everyone is made to feel most welcome. The home manager and her team do a grand job.
Thank you so much for your lovely words, I will pass this on to our fantastic team! It is such a pleasure to look after your wonderful mum here at Willowdale.
The food is good with a range of dishes on the menu each day, always fresh fruit and veg available. Staff consult the residents about the menu. Housekeeping do a great job keeping the bedrooms clean and tidy and managing the laundry. Communication is 5-star.
Thank you for your lovely review, it is an honour to look after your wonderful mum, she brightens up our days with her excellent Welsh singing. Warm regards.
Willowdale has been my home for nearly six years. I feel safe and secure. All my needs are catered for. I have a very good bond with the staff and residents, it is a place that I feel at home in. The carers support and encourage me, always trying to make me confident and safe. The food is of a very high standard with excellent choice all prepared with local products. A varied choice and cooked to a high standard. My family are confident that I am well cared for.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, it is so nice to hear how much you love living at Willowdale and being one of our family. Thank you.
Fantastic care! My mother is extremely happy there, and the staff are so friendly. Superb home! Couldn't be happier with her care! Best of all, it's in the area where she grew up, so her friends and relatives can still easily visit her.
Dear Andrew, thank you so much for your lovely review, we are so honoured to look after your lovely mum here at Willowdale Care Home. Best wishes.
Excellent management and staff. Can't do enough for their residents to go above and beyond their duties to help residents and families. Can't thank you enough for the care and compassion you've all shown us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. And keep being Amazing.
Thank you for your lovely review. I will pass on your kind comments to all the staff.
Food is plentiful and of a very high standard/quality.
Most rooms are bright, well-laid out and cheerful, but the odd one could do with decorating (which I believe is underway). The activities are varied, well-thought-out and fun. There is a secure locked front door/sign-in/out process. The dining room and both lounges are up-to-date and comfortable. You always get a warm welcome at Willowdale.
Many thanks for your kind words and lovely review.
My auntie has been at Willowdale for a few years now and has loved it. Unfortunately, just before Christmas, she had a diagnosis of cancer with no hope of treatment. Her only wish was to revisit Blackpool, but because of how unwell she is, the home brought Blackpool to her, and she had an amazing day! All the staff are exceptional and are true carers. I am truly touched by the care and support to provide to my auntie and also to myself and my family too.
Thank you for your lovely review. We all had a fantastic day bringing Blackpool to the home and really pleased we were able to grant her wish.
The manager and care staff are very caring and make it feel like a family. My husband has excellent health care and a doctor is called if there is any concern about his health. If there are any problems, the staff ring me straight away and keep me up to date.
Thank you for the lovely review. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts on our home and our staff, as caring is everything to us.
I have found the manager and staff very understanding and helpful with regards to caring for my sister and everyone who visits. Unfortunately, due to Covid, we have not had access to my sister's room, but she seems very happy with it.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home. We are so pleased to be able to care for your sister and are happy that she is so comfortable here.
Mum has been a resident at Willowdale Care Home for seven months. During Covid, it was very difficult to get support for my Mum at home and we looked for the right care locally. I have no hesitation to recommend Willowdale Care Home. Mum has settled well and of course, has good days and bad. The staff are always happy to talk about how Mum has been and to help her with the telephone. I have been made welcome when visiting either indoors or using the visitor's pod. The food is all freshly prepared daily and the cakes at afternoon tea are highly rated by my Mum.
Thank you for your lovely review about our home, I will ensure your comments are passed onto the team. We are so glad you are making use of the visitor pod and made to feel welcome. The homemade food is fantastic and we all look forward to cakes in the afternoon.
The staff are really lovely and always go out of their way to ensure the residents are happy.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home and thank you for your lovely comments.
Mum seems a lot safer in falls that she has someone there and not on her own. She is treated with kindness and respect and now it's slowly coming out of lockdown she seems happier in herself. Thanks to all that are concerned in her welfare.
This is lovely to hear. Thank you for your kind words.
Would 100% recommend Willowdale to anybody looking for a care home for a loved one as that's what they'll be there - loved! The cats are a bonus too!
