Myself and my sister went to see Chirk Court last year when my mother needed 24 hour care after a period in hospital.I found the staff very helpful and engaging, there is a very positive feeling we noticed and we knew straight away as a family that it was the best place for our mother. After only a few months we have noticed a big improvement in her and she has mentioned to me numerous times how much she loves the food.100% I would recommend without hesitation

My Mother has been a Resident at. Chirk Court for 17 months now and I am very happy with all aspects of her care. My father had been a Resident there a few years ago so I knew Chirk Court would be a safe place for my Mother to live.
I visit Mum regularly and the staff are really great and so helpful. They really get to know their residents and are extremely supportive to my mum. The facilities are excellent, the whole place is clean and the food is very good.

I must mention the Sensory Garden, it is a peaceful place to take my mum into and she loves it there.

First class care for my mother, and excellent liaison with the manager and staff at Chirk Court. My mother, aged 93, has been resident for about 9 months after being moved from another Home. She has improved considerably in her mental and physical ability. Highly recommended.

I cannot recommend Chirk Court Care Home highly enough. From the moment you walk through the doors, you are welcomed by a warm, caring and positive atmosphere. The staff are exceptional-always smiling, approachable and genuinely happy in their work. Their kindness and compassion shine through in everything they do.

One of the things that really sets Chirk Court apart is the fantastic range of activities organised every single day. The team work incredibly hard to provide meaningful, enjoyable and stimulating activities that encourage residents to join in, socialise and maintain a wonderful quality of life. There is always something happening, ensuring residents remain active, engaged and ha

Mum (93) has absolutely flourished since she's been at Chirk (around 8 months now). It is so homely, comfortable and well laid out (which is really important as her independence to be able to move around by herself with her wheelie frame is a really big thing for her!). As I live at a distance, I've used the guest room to stay over several times, which offers a really good opportunity to observe the day to day running and I can honestly say that I am so pleased mum there. The staff are very attentive and the environment, care levels and activities are second to none. Would def. recommend.

Since entering Chirk Court in Nov 2025 the improvement in my mother in laws well being is amazing.
She now converses , her memory has improved, she eats well and her personal hygiene is something I never thought we would see return.
The staff are friendly, kind and helpful and I would not hesitate to recommend this home.

I would also add that the Manager was very helpful and kind when Ann moved in and made the transfer from a far inferior home a much easier process.

Chirk Court provided unfailing care and support of a high quality throughout my sister in law's residency for nearly three years. The complex medical care for various stages of her dementia was difficult but always resolved. There is a particularly friendly welcoming atmosphere throughout the whole building which is clean and bright, spectacularly decorated when appropriate. it was always a pleasure to visit and be with the staff and other residents. Care for the relatives is so good too.

After viewing several care homes in the area, Chirk Court was a breath of fresh air. The building is so fresh and bright, and easily accessible for the residents. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, who are very caring towards residents and families. The food is very good and there are lots of activities on offer as well as weekly entertainment. The gardens are beautiful with lots of seating areas and shady spots. I am so glad we chose Chirk Court for my mother. I don't think we could have found a better place.

Chirk Court Care Home is a lovely modern bespoke building, which stands out in the crowd. The facilities are excellent both for residents and visitors. The carers and management are very approachable and work very hard to look after the residents. The staff are caring and kind. Recent investment has made the gardens a beautiful place to spend some quality time in. I would highly recommend Chirk Court Care Home

My husband recently moved in and has settled well with the help of all of the friendly staff - they make him feel at home, lovely sense of humour and engage with the banter from him. Although he never remember what food he has - he certainly seems quite contented. He is engaged with the activities and seems to get involved.

My mother has recently arrived to live at Chirk Court and we have been impressed with the seamless transition from her initial assessment through to admission. All the staff have made both our mother and us very welcome and nothing has been too much trouble. The staff have always been visible, well informed and able to answer our questions.

The activities have been well organised and of a wide variety. All staff have been so friendly; the environment is of a high standard, clean, organised and homely.

My mother moved into Chirk Court care home just over a week ago.
We had first visited the care home a few months ago. We were able to build up a relationship with the staff.
They provided us with information. When a bed became available and the manager came out to assess mum's needs. Mum was also able to visit to see the rooms available. Everyone was so welcoming when visited. (I might add they weren't expecting us) each member of staff explained their role.
When she moved in we were able make her room ready to help with the transition from her own home.
Care is delivered at the highest level. Mum is treated with dignity and her wishes and views are taken into consideration.
We as a family feel supported and included and are reassured that mum is very well cared for.

The environment is clean, bright and welcoming. Activities are appropriate and inclusive.

Jane Humphreys
Jane HumphreysJob Title:Care Home ManagerJoined: 2023

My Name is Jane Humphreys I have worked in the care Industry since 1991 progressing from working in Dom care setting supporting people in their homes, progressing to working as a support worker with Residents who had been supported by hospitals to be supported in supportive leaving, I then progressed to Deputy in 1997.

In 1998 I became a registered Home Manager over Two supportive living homes.

During this time I completed My Registered Manager award which also includes my Higher Manager award in managing Care home services, Also My Further Education Teacher Training.

In 2004 I became a home manager for a children's home where I also completed my Registered Manager qualification in Children’s Services Underneath Ofsted.

In 2006 My Mother passed away In a nursing Home at the age of 67, and I felt I needed to change my direction In care.

I managed a Residential Care home in Powys, working with Commissioning, CIW, NHS, and ALSO Local. It was here that I trained with Bradford University which related to specialised dementia care mapping and improvement of quality with dementia and Mental Health Services. This was an excellent opportunity to look at the training that each staff member needed to undertake to look at the key skills which were essential to supporting residents with Dementia.

I feel that I have a clear understanding of how it feels when you place your loved ones into a care home, after my mother was admitted into the care home I could become her daughter again rather than her carer. I feel with this life experience with a loved one being in a care home I have a better understanding.

Within My new role as the Care Home Manager at Chirk Court, I find it a huge privilege to be at the home, looking at each household and how unique the home is in supporting each resident with the home to be as independent as possible valuing them and treating them with respect and Dignity.
