Overall Experience

My auntie has been in the home for over 2 years. I find the staff extremely helpful and welcoming. I have visited my auntie on a regular basis, I find the staff go out of their way to make sure she's well presented and all her hygiene standards have been met.

I do feel that the staff : resident ratio is stretched at times and occasionally the door takes a long time to be answered!

Review from Ann P (Partner of Resident) published on 21 March 2018 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

On entering Bay Tree House, I was welcomed by a member of staff, shown to where my partner was sitting in the sitting room, other residents were sitting in the dining room eating their tea. The kitchen staff came and introduced themselves and asked what food he liked to eat, everyone in the lounge was talking to one another. They are having building work done but it did not stop the running of the house.

ALFA KABEER
ALFA KABEERJob Title:DEPUTY MANAGERJoined: 2024

I am a caring and dedicated person who truly believes that everyone deserves to feel respected, valued and listened to. For me, working in care is not just a job; it is about making a positive difference in people’s lives and ensuring that every resident feels safe, comfortable and at home.

As a Deputy Manager within a residential care setting, I enjoy building genuine relationships with residents, their families and the care team. I believe the little things matter —taking time to listen, understanding each person’s story, respecting their choices and supporting them to enjoy meaningful moments every day.

I have over 6 years of international management experience, which has helped me develop strong leadership, communication and organisational skills. I enjoy supporting my team, encouraging good practice and creating a positive environment where both residents and staff feel valued and supported.

I hold a Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care, a Level 5 Diploma in Leading and Managing Adult Care Services, and a Master’s degree in Advanced Engineering Management (Level 7). These qualifications, alongside my experience, continue to support my passion for providing effective leadership and maintaining high standards of care.

You will often find me joining in with residents’ activities, whether that is singing, dancing, sharing a laugh or simply enjoying a moment together. I may not have the perfect singing voice (and the residents may agree that it can be a little loud!), but I believe happiness, fun and creating memories are an important part of making a care home feel like home.

I aim to help create a place where residents and their families feel reassured, supported and confident that their loved ones are receiving care with kindness, dignity and compassion. I believe a great care home is built on relationships, teamwork and treating every person as an individual.
