Mam settled in very quickly at Chaseley House. The staff have always shown kindness and respect towards Mam. They have a lovely sense of humour which helps everyone feel at ease and welcomed at the home. The place is spotless, tastefully decorated and in a convenient location for regular visits. Some
of the staff and residents can speak Welsh, which is important for a Welsh speaker when taking a big step to live in a care home. The care and staff dedication during Covid 19 has been excellent. We have been informed of all developments and precautions taken during this challenging time. The residents' welfare is always a priority when implementing any new guidelines and all the staff are part of a very hard-working, happy team.
Reply from Manager at Chaseley House Rest HomeMany thanks for your kind words which will be relayed back to our fantastic team of dedicated and caring staff who have gone above and beyond during Covid 19. I note you have only scored four stars for both food and activities, we continually get positive comments from our residents regarding the varied and nutritional food we provide at Chaseley. With regards to activities prior to Covid 19, we had a varied activities program, however with social distancing in place our activities program has had to be restructured to safeguard and shield our residents.

Chaseley House is extremely professional with a very high standard of care. My mother-in-law is in the greatest hands. I would recommend anyone who wanted their loved ones in care, to choose Chaseley House. Well done all - we are relaxed knowing our mother is safe and happy.
Reply from Manager at Chaseley House Rest HomeMany thanks for those kind words of appreciation along with a 5-star review and recommendation. It is rewarding to hear you are pleased. I highly recommend Chaseley House. They've been absolutely fantastic with looking after my mother-in-law for the last 4 years. Both management and staff take the time to really get to know their residents and have adopted the attitude of 'one size does not fit all'. They will go out of their way to
ensure that residents are happy, healthy and content and they prioritise residents' wellbeing just as much as their physical needs.
Chaseley House have dealt exceptionally well during the current Corona-Virus lockdown period; ensuring that their residents and staff are fully protected and they've kept up their staff morale with their fantastic support of them, which ultimately has a positive impact on their residents. My mother-in-law is so happy and cheerful every day at Chaseley House and her moving there was the best decision she and the family made. The peace of mind is so reassuring.
I highly recommend Chaseley House to those wanting first-class, exceptonal care for their loved ones.
Reply from Manager at Chaseley House Rest HomeThank you so much for writing such a lovely review Phil your kind words and appreciation will be relayed back to our fantastic team of carers. I really like the ' one size etc quote that is the basis of our care philosophy at Chaseley House being that it is tailored to suit an individual's likes and dislikes to ensure they receive the care required to maximise their quality of life.

My mother has been a resident at Chaseley for 10 months now, following on from a hospital admission. She is now much happier, healthier and brighter than she had been in the last months in her flat. it is such a relief to have found a place for Mother in such a lovely and caring environment!

Our Dad has been in Chaseley House now for a year. We were in the difficult position of not knowing the first thing about how, what, where and so on in respect of a care home. We did the usual research saw the reviews (totally accurate - this is a fantastic home) and had an instant response from the
Owner and a visit to look around. We are so thankful there was a space for him, as are the Grandchildren who have all been up to visit him.
We needn't have worried about moving him in. The Owner was very welcoming making Dad feel at home and reassuring and guiding us all, explaining next steps and so on. Dad was initially a reluctant guest. Not now! He has independence, his own room, satellite TV! photos, some furniture and, until Covid-19, frequent visitors and trips out with friends and family. Dad has his freedom, is much healthier with good food, great care and fantastic staff.
On Covid-19, we are fully in the loop and kept up to date. Dad could not be in better hands.
Thank you.

Made to feel very welcome from the outset and as if nothing was too much trouble. The home is immaculate in all respects and it was reinforced constantly that this is Dad's home and therefore our home too when visiting.

My Mother came into Chaseley just before Christmas 2019, and the care she has had; has been outstanding. The girls are fantastic, and nothing is too much trouble. The home is lovely, clean and has no unpleasant smells. From my own personal experience having eaten a few times; free of charge with my
Mum, I find the food is very good, tasty and plentiful and my Mum is also pleased with the meals and that is from someone who is a fussy eater. My Mum loves the twice-weekly music afternoons as well as the visits from the band. I have seen a marked improvement in Mum since coming to Chaseley, and I am so pleased she is being cared for at this lovely home. No wonder it has the excellent reputation it has.
Reply from Manager at Chaseley House Rest HomeThank you for your kind words am so happy you are pleased with Mum's care obviously this is down to the fantastic caring staff we have at Chaseley House. Am pleased that Mum loves the Music afternoons and vists from the ukulele band.

Very professional, very "down to earth", really caring staff. My father is currently in residential and will be shortly moving to an EMI home, but the care at Chaseley House has easily gone beyond the call of duty.
Reply from Manager at Chaseley House Rest HomeMany thanks for the review and appreciation of our caring staff, am so pleased that we have gone beyond the call of duty. We have an extensive range of activities providing mental and physical stimulation. We have 2 music afternoons each week as well as regular visits from a Celtic Harp Player. In December we added a Ukulele Show Band to our program and they have agreed to visit us every month. Ongoing daily activities include arts and crafts, baking, chair exercises, carpet bowls, skittles, bean bag target game, household games and quizzes. During the summer months accompanied walks are arranged and offered to everyone as is all our daily activities. We have a varied range of rooms providing all the facilities required to maximise an individuals quality of life and to make living at Chaseley House enjoyable and homely.

My mum was a resident for two years and was always treated with understanding, kindness and patience. Our family and my mum valued the friendship of all the staff and residents. She was very happy living there.
Mum sadly passed away at the end of August, but I cherish the time I spent with her at Chaseley
House.
I am grateful to all the staff for the care and support given to my dear Mum and our family.

My mother is at Chaseley House now and I couldn't be happier. The staff are professional, respectful and it is very clean. I am so pleased as my mother had a stroke and was very disorientated. They have made it all so easy for her to settle in and be like one of the family. I would recommend Chaseley
House one million per cent.
