Generally excellent care. Caring management and staff.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Always a warm welcome. Very clean and tidy inside and out. My mother seems to have settled into life really well within the surroundings and made many new friends.
Absolutely amazing care home. Staff are fantastic and are always there on hand, helpful and very happy. My friend loves being in there, and all the residents are chatty. The owner is a lovely, caring man who is also there all the time on hand whenever you need to speak to him. Great home and has great people.
Recently visited my friend. Excellent welcome, friendly staff welcomed me in. Beautiful surroundings, garden especially pretty for the time of year. Fantastic room, full sunshine on the day of my visit. I could hear music coming from the lounge. Live entertainment provided by a professional singer. Really impressed by the whole setup.
My dad spent his last few years here in Dol Awel where they treated him with respect and lots of kindness. The staff always saw to his needs and enjoyed his humour and his company, especially over the last couple of years during the pandemic when restrictions had to be implemented and family and friends weren't able to visit as regularly. The pressure on the staff during this time was must have been tremendous but they always put their residents and the residents' families first. I have no problem with recommending this very friendly place.
I went to see my friend recently at Dol Awel. I was met by friendly staff upon arrival who checked my lateral flow test result. I was shown into the visitor's room and my friend came through to me. Refreshments were provided which made the setting feel like a home from home. My friend was full of praise for the place and seemed happy and relaxed. Really impressed with how clean and tidy the place was.
My sister-in-law is a resident at Dol Awel. The owner and staff are all very caring people and genuinely have her best interests at heart. The accommodation itself suits my sister-in-law perfectly and is set in an easy to reach and pleasant area. It is a great relief to her family and friends that she is being so well cared for and seems to be very happy with her surroundings. Thank you, all.
My sister has been a resident at Dol Awel for quite a while now. She is extremely happy and content. Such a relief that she is there. The care she is given is exemplary and meets all her needs and beyond. All the staff do a marvellous job ensuring her wellbeing and really care so much. I am kept well informed of what is happening as I am unable to visit due to present circumstances, such a comfort. The home itself is of a very high quality, well run and organised, beautifully furnished and spotless. The food is of a very high standard and my sister is eating well which she certainly wasn't doing when living in her own home. They have lots of activities and entertainment. I can't praise them enough, wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to one and all.
The staff were very kind and empathetic, they were also helpful and flexible around our visitations.
I would not hesitate to recommend Dol Awel.
Staff are warm, kind and professional they went the second mile for my friend who was a resident. Highly recommended. There are gardens around the building and this is a pleasant aspect too. The feel of the place is like it's family-run but is also very professional, highly dependable.
My nan has been looked after by Dol Awel very well. Staff and management are helpful. Could not thank them enough for what they have done for my grandmother for the past two years. Beautiful, cosy home with a lovely garden. They also follow proper Covid-19 safety protocols. Highly recommended!
I recently visited a close friend at Dol Awel, I was able to go indoors after my Covid test, which was lovely. I was greeted by the manager who showed me into the visitors room. It was lovely being able to go indoors. The decor had been updated since my last indoor visit, and my friend told me how happy she was with all the improvements. Lunch was been prepared whilst I was there and the menu choice seemed very appealing. My friend told me how happy she was there and how kind and caring the staff are.
I visited my family at Dol Awel care home, it’s a lovey afternoon we are sitting in the lovely garden with tea and cake and I can see my dearest lovely friends are happy staying in Dol Awel. The staff are excellent, I have no complaints.
Recently I had the opportunity to meet my friend who is a resident at Dol Awel, we have been friends for ages. The outdoor visit was facilitated by the manager and we spent an hour on the garden deck which to me was maintained to a high standard. The garden looked stunning, and my friend stated that she is having a brilliant time there. Hence I thought of dropping in few lines about the home. We had an ice cream and staff treated us with dignity and respect. Just no words to describe and it was a pleasure to be there.
Staff and owner always friendly and polite, it’s clean and tidy and very welcoming.
Varied menu including takeaway or barbecue evening, makes it feel like your own home.
The staff are always very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The home is always extremely clean and tidy and the residents seem very happy and well looked after. The staff are very stringent regarding health and safety, especially having to deal with Covid. Dol Awel is a real home from home.
I visited an elderly friend at this home recently and I found the standard of care to be excellent. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and made me feel at home and offered me a cup of tea. They seemed to be looking after the residents very well, catering to their every need. The home looked very comfortable and everywhere was very clean and tidy. I would highly recommend this care home.
Excellent care home with dedicated staff. My grandmother is very happy here. The home is very welcoming and very well kept. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to other people. The staff are always very helpful and professional whenever I ring.
My only wish is that my mother could have stayed on a permanent basis as she seemed so happy in the short time of stay. The level of care she had, showed there are very clear high standards throughout the whole team, she had even put a bit of weight on with the quality of meals provided by their cook. Every phone call or FaceTime arranged was on time and never a problem to the staff, we were even allowed window visits regularly which had been invaluable during the Covid 19 pandemic. We cannot praise the staff enough through every element of mother's stay. We did ask if there was a permanent space for her but not as yet. If one was to become available I would not hesitate to move her back there. Thank you so much to all of the staff and the management for everything you did during my mother's stay.
This care home really does set the standard! The facilities are well suited to the resident's needs and the staff are just exceptional! Always so willing and ready to help! It is very clear that the resident's welfare and safety are their main priority.
