Garnant House is a 21-bed residential care home situated within the village of Garnant on the main bus routes, only three miles from Ammanford and seven miles from Pontardawe.

As well as residential beds, the home also offers EMI care.

Prospective residents and families are welcome to view the home at any time, no appointment necessary.

Garnant House is proud to say that the majority of carers are fluent Welsh speakers. The home has its own Welsh language policy.

The manager has over 25 years of care experience and has achieved LMC in Care Award. The three Senior Carers are qualified at NVQ Level 3.

The care in Garnant House is outstanding. The carer's can not do enough for the residents and the visitors. There is always activities there that the residents enjoy. My friends says the care staff are lovely and the food is very good. An outstanding care home.

My mother has been at Garnant House for 2 1/2 years. It is extremely cosy and homely here. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff; I feel confident that mam is well cared for at all times. Staff are always vigilant regarding mams health and as a family we are very grateful for their care; always
going above and beyond in their duties. They are all always very caring and approachable. Mam feel very safe here.

Owners and staff are absolutely wonderful. They look after the patients like they are family. To be honest they can't do enough for you. Food always looks great. Am thinking of putting my name down for a room in my old age.

I visit on a weekly basis, my cousin always seems happy and the other residents also seem happy always speak to them as I'm walking through. The home is always clean and well presented with different themes Christmas, St. Davids day, Easter.

I cannot speak highly enough of Garnant House Care Home. From the moment you walk through the doors there is a genuine sense of warmth, kindness and professionalism that sets it apart. The staff are truly exceptional- compassionate, attentive, and always willing to go that extra mile to ensure residents
feel comfortable, respected and valued.
The environment is clean, safe and well maintained, creating a real sense of Home rather than an institution.
There is a strong focus on dignity and independence, and it's clear that each resident is treated as an individual, with their personal needs and preferences carefully respected.
Activities are thoughtfully planned , and its wonderful to see residents encouraged to stay active and socially connected. Communication with the family is also excellent, offering reassurance and peace of mind.
Knowing that our mother is in such capable caring hands makes all the difference and i would highly recommend this Care Home to anyone. It's amazing.

Garnant House is an excellent care home. My mother is treated so well there. The staff are kind, helpful, efficient and always go out of their way to support my mother. Rooms are spotless, my mother is always treated with respect and compassion. Both the management and staff are extremely approachable.
If anything is needed, we are happy to ask and it is always done immediately. We visit very often and everyone is so friendly, it's a pleasure to go there. As a family, we feel very grateful and pleased that our mother has such wonderful care.

From entering the home you feel a warmth and homely atmosphere. Staff are professional yet friendly, caring and fun to be with. Owners and staff will go the extra mile to maintain residents' dignity. Although my aunt was brought into this home in very difficult circumstances, we as a family have observed on very many occasions that she hit the jackpot in terms of landing here with the wonderful care, dignity and friendliness she has received whilst in this home. Each carer has a wonderful, caring
attitude towards her as well as us during our visits (always unannounced) to find her clean and very well cared for. Although she is now receiving palliative care, we witness she is treated with wonderful respect and the greatest dignity.

My father had been in Garnant House for almost 5 years.
He loved it from day one. The staff were so caring and kind and loved him to bits.
Unfortunately, his health deteriorated over the past week and he passed away on 19th October.
The care given to him was second to none.

We had to choose a care facility “blind” when my father needed residential care, due to the Covid restrictions. Today was the first day I actually visited Dad indoors, and it confirmed that we could not have chosen better than Garnant House. Now that I have seen inside Garnant House, I can see that
it is clean and tidy, with everything my dad needs. In the time Dad has been at Garnant House, I have got to know the senior staff and have become aware that Dad has become one of the Garnant House family - the care given is better than our family could hope to give. I cannot praise them highly enough and would like to express my thanks to all at Garnant House.

My mother has been at Garnant House for nine months. I am pleased with her care.
It has been a difficult time due to Covid restrictions. The care home has not had a resident with Covid which speaks volumes.
Rooms are clean. Staff are attentive. Mother seems very happy and content at Garnant House.
Excellent homemade food. Thank you lovely carers.

When my mother was in the home she was very happy and we were very happy with the care my mother had. She passed away in the home after about six years.
