My visits to see a friend are frequent. The building is modern and on one floor. The home always smells clean and the rooms are light and airy. Management and staff are always welcoming and approachable and residents are treated with dignity. Activities such as quizzes, bingo, excursions and walks are
among those that I noted. The management runs the home in an orderly and structured way, with clear protocols in place.

I would certainly use this home for further respite. Staff very good. Also management very helpful. The staff couldn't do enough for all the people in their care and the food was good. Plates always went back empty. No complaints at all. I think it says it all.

Very happy in the care home. Staff are very nice and can't do enough for her. Gets on well with other residents and enjoys taking part in group activities. Likes the food.

It was quite a traumatic time when mum needed to go into care and involved the family in a great deal of soul searching. We were indeed very fortunate to have found mum a place at Penrhos. The home has continually provided a quality caring environment for mum and has the added bonus of being small enough
to offer a truly homely atmosphere. staff are competent sensitive and compassionate and know mum and her individual needs extremely well. They are prompt to provide support and assistance when required. All the staff are willing to go the extra mile and any issues relating to mum's care have been listened to and accommodated. The many varied activities within a really pleasant social atmosphere provided stimulation as well as pampering! it's completely reassuring to know that mum is happy and so well cared for.

My mother took up residence in September 2015 at the age of 94. The home under the personnel management of the owners has far exceeded our most optimistic hopes. My mother has been treated with kindness and dignity and nothing has been too much trouble for management and staff. It is a care home in
the true sense fo the word and I cannot speak highly enough of it.

Residents appear to be sat in one position for long periods of time. There are some trips out to the seaside etc. I have witnessed some stimulation i.e. simple quizzes and games i.e. hangman's noose, throwing a bat into a big net, making easter bonnets, but this only takes them from chair to table and
back again. Some of the patients are able to walk short distances, some with walking aids and some without. They need more stimulation. However, in general, the carers appear to be kind and caring. Some outside additions may be beneficial to the patients to make them feel part of the outside world again.
