Mum is supported and cared for in her needs. She takes part in craft activities, which keeps her active and enjoys her little chats with her fellow residents. The staff are encouraging her to be involved in activities. She is very good at making pompoms, which helps to exercise her hands and helps her concentration. Mum loves the moving, fluffy dog, of course from a form she always cared for animals.
This is such a lovely review to read, thank you. Our team strive to achieve the best quality of care for all of our residents, making sure there are numerous activities to take part in, to stimulate residents and make sure they feel happy and safe. Your kind words will be passed on.
Brynhyfryd Care Home is a friendly place to be in. My mum seems to be happy and content here. All staff see to her needs and are all willing to help and care for her. At Christmas, a lot of work had gone into activities arranged for the residents, which I am sure they all enjoyed. Lots of other activities are arranged throughout the year. Excellent!
Thank you for your kind words; we are so pleased to read that your mum is happy here with us at Brynhyfryd. We love putting on activities for our residents, and it's a delight to read that your mum is enjoying them.
Every time I visit my mother-in-law at Brynhyfryd, I'm made so welcome. The staff are wonderful and so welcoming. We know my mother-in-law isn't just looked after, but cherished and it's so reassuring. Allowing our dogs in is a huge bonus, it helps my mother-in-law immensely. Thank you.

Thank you for leaving us this kind review, we really appreciate it.
I am satisfied with the care that my mother gets.
Thanks for leaving us a review, we really appreciate it.
The staff at Glan Irfon have been fantastic. Without exception, they have cared for my friend and looked after her as they would their own family. Despite the conditions, the staff have to work within i.e. shift changes at short notice, this is never reflected in their commitment to the patients. Glan Irfon relies on the quality of service it provides, without the staff this service would suffer.
Thank you for your kind words, we really appreciate it. We think of all of our residents as our extended family and our team strives to achieve the best quality of care. Your feedback will be passed on to our wonderful team.
Since she's moved to Brynhyfryd, there's been a great improvement. The staff here are kind, considerate, caring and the care they give has had very positive results.
We thoroughly recommend Brynhyfryd and thank the wonderful carers who've made such a difference.
Thank you for your kind words. We are so pleased to hear that you mother has settled in well here at Brynhyfryd. Your lovely feedback will passed onto the team.
It is obvious, however, that they are under extreme pressure from shorthandedness, and their goodwill is being undermined by constant pressure and lack of remuneration, so much so that the whole system is in danger of collapse. When I overheard this type of conversation, I must say the comments were made in a sense of regret rather than rancour. Wake up management! They are doing their utmost and you should do your utmost to support them, even if by doing so you may harm your own careers.
Thank you for the praise of our team it’s greatly appreciated, and we will make sure it’s passed on. We will also feedback your other comments.
Staff are always friendly and helpful. The building itself is somewhat dated and the room small and dark, but the premises are always clean. I think my mother is well looked after.
Thank you for your review, we really appreciate the feedback. We are pleased to hear that you feel your mother is well looked after as our team strive to achieve the best possible care for all of our residents.
Yes, my sister is well cared for. The staff are very kind and good. My sister states she likes it at the care home. The only thing is she has not got a television in her room. This is unkind. I can supply a television if some handyman can install one. It must be very lonely, with no wireless, no television. This is so important to her wellbeing.
My mother has been a resident for 10 months now, it has been an extremely difficult time for her, having to give up her flat, home, and to a lesser extent her independence, prior to coming into Brynhyfryd, Mum had been in and out of hospital on many occasions, thus finally being admitted to Brynhyfryd, she will be 88 Christmas Eve, my brother and family, never thought, we would be talking about her getting to that age, a considerable amount of this is down to the manager and her Wonderful staff, Mum is mentally sharper than she has been for 10 years, I am comforted by the fact, that during these particularly hard times, she is in the right, safest place at her time of life, My brother and I, would like to give a big thanks to all the lovely staff at Brynhyfryd, and ask, that the sometimes harsh comments she makes, be put down to the fact that even at nearly 88, she doesn't feel she should be in a home. I always get a lovely welcome when visiting and on the telephone.
I have only praise for the care of my mother at Brynhyfryd Care Home over the last 9 months that she has been looked after by them. The staff and manager are so helpful and caring and deal calmly with emergencies that unfortunately happen from time to time. The atmosphere at the home is welcoming and friendly with a layout that works well for the residents. The food always looks appetising and encourages the residents to eat well. Mum has also enjoyed the trips that she had been on.
Thank you for your review, we appreciate your feedback. We are pleased to hear about your positive experience and appreciate your comments about our home and will share your comments with the home’s manager. The Bupa Customer Care Team.
