The Grove Care Home

Every time I come to visit, the staff are always polite and happy. My uncle has settled in well and even though he won't admit it, his quality of life has improved.

The Grove provides a home-from-home atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The difference I can see in my mother-in-law is massive, even though she has been here a short time, she is very content and says there is nothing she doesn't like. I never feel bad leaving her after a visit. Thanks.

I cannot speak highly enough about the care my mother has received since moving into The Grove Care Home. The staff have been excellent, always helpful and accommodating. The difference in my mother's health and well-being is quite unbelievable. From being full of anxiety, she is now happy and contented.

What a beautiful place! My mum loves it there if anyone needs a home from home it's The Grove. My mother has been there for around 8 weeks and has settled in really well. It's not just the homely feel of the place, it's the warmness of all the staff who show tender, loving care to all the residents and we all like some TLC don't we? A big big thank you to all the staff from myself, my mum and my sister for your devotion to service. It couldn't be better. Thank you all.

My dad had respite at The Grove for a week. This is his 5th time this year and he enjoys every time. All the staff are so lovely with dad and nothing is too much trouble for them. They give us such a friendly welcome too as his family. It allows me too as daddy's carer to have a rest and know he's being looked after with loving care. Thank you so much to every one of the staff from the daughter.

My grandmother is very happy with every aspect of this home. The care she receives is outstanding. We are quite happy that she is looked after when we are not with her. The staff are always happy to help and are on hand for any queries we may have.

This is a general review of the home since my mother went to live there. Not sure of the year, but more than two years. I visit nearly every day.

We hadn't realised how depressed & withdrawn Mum had become until she went to live in The Grove. She has mild dementia, but since moving in she remembers so much more and is so much happier. She has always been a fiercely independent woman in spite of being registered disabled before she was 50, and had worked hard in the voluntary sector locally, so we were sad to see how withdrawn she had become. In the Spring she had a fall in her warden controlled flat, and it was more than 5 hours that she was on the floor, confused and very dehydrated before I found her. Although she hadn't broken anything, she spent around 6 weeks in hospital. Happily, at the end of that time she agreed that she needed to go into a 'home'. My niece and I visited The Grove, and decided within 10 minutes it was the place for her. We have never regretted our decision. We have our Mum back!

The home is light, warm & welcoming to everyone. We can visit whenever we like and are always welcomed by staff and residents so that it always feels like a pleasure when I go in 3 times a week. Mum's room is lovely and the ratio of carers to residents is really good with the 'carers' living up to their name! They work hard to keep the residents as mobile as possible and I have never heard a cross word from one of them. I have been so impressed by the level of care that I have recommended The Grove to a lot of other people
