Amazing home, excellent staff and residents. The way that they look after residents is second to none, always a welcome when visiting and a beautiful room to see your family. The entertainment is good for them and the kitchen staff do a great job with the food.
My mum had got to the stage where living independently was causing concern. A difficult decision to make was made easier when she went to respite which resulted in her being a full-time resident. The staff work tirelessly every single day to meet her and other residents' needs. They are all truly amazing. They are patient, kind, reassuring and caring. My mum has been on her own during Covid so having that interaction with staff and residents have now brought her back to being the sociable person she was prior to Covid. I cannot thank the matron and her staff enough for what they have done for my mum and for me. I know now that she is in safe hands. I will be eternally grateful to them all. Angels all of them!
Mum was very apprehensive about going into the home, but on arrival, she was made to feel very welcome by the staff that greeted her at the door. She now calls it home. All the staff are very warm and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Mum has settled in extremely well and gets on with everyone, always ready for a chat. A wide variety of food on the menu to choose from. Always drinks served throughout the day. Always appears to be kept clean and tidy. No complaints.
I went into Wylesfield Care Home for respite care over Christmas with some trepidation. I worried needlessly as all the staff were just wonderful, kind, caring and helpful. I needed a special diet and everything was fresh and tasty. I had a nice room and there was a lovely lounge which I made use of. I would certainly recommend them.
I found the staff very friendly and helpful. The fabric of the home was very good and was able to meet my needs. Most of the staff took on board my usual routine. As I was having to isolate my wife had preempted this and provided me with activities to keep me occupied. It was a positive experience.
From the moment I entered the building, I knew it was the right place for my father. The manager was welcoming, non-judgemental and gave me her full attention. The building was light and airy and beautifully decorated with sunny warm colours. Nothing was ever too much trouble for all the staff, who were friendly, respectful and always knew where my father was when I visited or telephoned. He was safe, secure and well cared for.
I was invited to join the Christmas party put on by the staff of Wylesfield. It turned out to be a lovely party for everyone involved - there was a great atmosphere due very much to the staff who were absolutely brilliant interacting with the residents who were laughing, and some every trying to dance. The entertainment was thoroughly enjoyed by all the 'singing farmer', totally understood what everyone would enjoy and chose songs and carols to sing, which seemed to ignite again the memories of many - truly touching to watch. Well done Wylesfield.
There is plenty on offer for residents to do, it is all beautifully clean and staff are generally cheerful and helpful.

From the very first day, my cousin settled and each time we visited, she told us how happy and glad she was to be in Wylesfield. She has been there about 10 months and in all that time we have never heard a member of staff utter a cross or loud word to any of the residents - they always greet us with a smile - we are welcome at any time. The residents choose the menu they like - each day.

The Management are most efficient in their duties and of a pleasant disposition, they are always available whenever advice is sought. Great effort is made to provide the residents with a social life where possible and outings are frequently arranged thus enabling residents to enjoy new surroundings. Much consideration is given to the dietary requirements of the residents - to this, the staff reach a high standard of presentation.
My general feeling being that the residents are very happy and content in their surroundings. As Mother is approaching 102 years old we appreciate all the attention and care she is receiving.

When I visit Dad he is always clean and is very happy. The staff are always very friendly and polite. Also, nothing is too much trouble if we have to ask for anything. The staff will always make time to talk to Dad and walk with him. We (the whole family) are extremely impressed with all the staff at Wylesfield.

The staff are fantastic, nothing is too much. As I visit regularly, they inform me about Mum and any hospital appointments. They get her to interact with the other residents with the activities that are organised, or if they have arranged times out. She is kept clean and tidy. The hairdresser comes once a week, so all her needs are well cared for. I can't thank them enough for looking after Mum so well.
Than you for your review. It is so nice to hear that your mum is enjoying the different activities and interacting with the other residents. It must give you peace of mind knowing that you are kept informed of everything.
My mother settled very well into her new home. She seems happy and always seems to be well looked after. Her individual needs are catered for. The home always has a positive, friendly, caring environment.
All queries and concerns I have identified have been dealt with well.

I'd give Wylesfield 10/10 for care. There is always someone around if you need them. Always with a smiling face and good humour. Staff are all very approachable and let you know what's happening with your relative. Very good team leaders and management, so everyone follows on the good work. Laundry is always done nicely. Food first class and cleanliness in the home. I visit daily. Activities are very good.

Very caring and friendly staff. A homely environment, warm, safe and comfortable.
Thanks for sharing this and I'm glad to hear you've had a positive experience with our home.
It's very good but necessarily costly because I/we have had the means.
My biggest problems are boredom/lack of compatible company but staff are excellent. Although I have been here 9 years 3 months, I could have postponed coming here but no useful accommodation was available at the time.
Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear about your positive experience and appreciate your comments of our home and will share your comments with the home’s manager. The Bupa Customer Care Team
