The home is split into six small group living areas or "households", across two floors, which are accessible via passenger lift and stairs.
Each named household has 10 bedrooms, all of which have en-suite toilet and sink facilities. Communal lounges and dining/kitchen areas are available throughout the home. There is also a large reception area which provides space for visitors and activities to take place.

We appreciate the many demands on staff in a dementia care home, with many residents with differing needs and abilities. It is constantly challenging, and yet at no point did we ever feel any irritation, impatience or frustration, however mild, directed at Dad, or any other resident.
I feel like my mum has settled well at Charnwood Lodge having been at another care home and really disliked it and was very unsettled. The staff have got to know mum and she gets on well with most of the staff.

All the carers know her and treat her with affection and respect. Her health needs are meticulously reviewed and any UTI/S or other health concerns are treated immediately. An indication of this is that her weight has increased by 8lbs since her arrival - very good news. I have already recommended this care home to a friend.
