Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge. Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible.

The staff were good at getting my mum settled, she was really unhappy when she was put in the home, but now when you see her, she looks happier than she has for a long time. Her mental health has also improved because she is doing things and has people to speak to.

Scoonie has become a home from home for my partner. The staff are caring, considerate and kind, and every day, in some way, go well beyond their remit. The residents are treated with respect, love and kindness. Every member of staff is approachable - management included with exceptionally high standards. Scoonie is well kept, exceptionally clean and fresh. The decor etc is good. I’ve been made to feel welcome when I visit and allowed to spend time, and have lunch occasionally with my partner. When the time comes for me to go into care, then I’ve instructed those concerned to make sure I go into Scoonie. This is a first-class, caring home which I would highly recommend.

I enjoy developing ways to promote the residents’ rights and responsibilities and provide information, advice and support not only to the residents but also to their families. I’m also creating opportunities for residents to contribute to the local community and access local services, giving them a sense of freedom and belonging.
