“I have worked at Strathview for more than 7 years and, prior to that, cared for my mum and worked in the private care sector. At Strathview, I’ve worked my way up from administrator to deputy Manager and finally home manager so I know the team well. I have always worked very closely with my team which is very important to me.
As a small home, it’s vital that we support each other and work well as a team. Every member of the team knows they can speak to me whenever they may need to and the same goes for our residents and their families.
I enjoy seeing how even just the smallest interaction on a daily basis can lighten someone’s face and make a difference. I work with people who have given their all to everyone around them and now it is their time to be looked after.
I personally feel that development and training is very important for both the team and myself – every day is a school day! I am proactive in supporting my team to take up all the opportunities provided as we want to be able to offer the best experience possible to our residents, delivering quality care.”
