I looked at so many homes and Fernlea was not my first choice but when I visited it, I did not think it was the poshest I had seen , but
I have been in homes where they are left to vegetate. At Fernlea mum is taken out in their mini bus for wee trips, she is involved in practical things, making cards, baking, and surprisingly I hear she even joins in the sing songs. They celebrate residents birthdays have entertainment and have a church service once a month where they can request their favourite hymns.
Mum has Alzheimer's and I constantly worried about her before I don't any more. But it's not about me it's all about her and to see her happier and know she feels safe now means a lot, so thank you Fernlea here's one who think you do a great job x
