My Aunt has settled very well into Almond View and I put this down to the friendly and approachable staff. There seems to be a calmness in the home that shows in the residents. A lot of thought and effort has been, and continues to be put into activities and my aunt for one, enjoys and looks forward
to them.
There is a lot of recreational areas allowing the residents to have a choice at all times on where to sit and relax or take part in activities.
Pleasant place to visit and from what I can see, a pleasant place to live.

My mum moved into the care home in May 2025. On arriving at the home my mum was little anxious, the staff made her feel welcome and she was more relaxed.
I can't thank the home Manager and the staff enough they have made us the family feel very welcome nothing is to much bother and the staff go that
extra mile.
My mum has made friends with the staff and other residents, this give and my family a peace of mind know she is well looked after. She alway looks clean and well cared for. She has been putting on weight and staff offer alternative choice if she doesn't like what is on the menu. I have been contacting and visiting our daughter for the past 6/7 years who needed 24/7 care. The staff were excellent in caring for her & communicating wth us. Our daughter and ourselves were very happy to be given the chance to get a placement here. As you enter the care home you get a joyous feeling.
It's such a happy place. The patients are all treated with great dignity. We received tremendous help at the end of our daughters life, and in fact all through her stay. The staff became like our extended family. We could relax and trust them knowing how they were looking & loving & caring for her, our lovely daughter, whom was 44 years old when she passed away at the care home, after receiving a severe brain injury. Thank you to all the staff for the hugs and love.

Reply from Laura Poole, Communications at Craigielea

Roselea is a warm and welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike. The staff are always attentive, kind and compassionate. Mum settled in very quickly when she moved in 2 years ago. Anyone who visits mum comments positively on the size of her room and how nice the home is. We are kept informed
about mum's welfare, and any issues are always dealt with quickly. We are confident that mum is safe and well cared for at Roselea, can't ask for anything more in the face of how awful the disease dementia is.

Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I feel my mum is well-treated and well looked after. The home is regularly in contact with me with updates or issues. I really enjoy following the home on social media as I see pictures and videos of my mum taking part in games, fun, etc. I live 2 hours away, and this makes it easier for me to keep
an eye on mum. The staff are friendly and helpful, and any issues I have are quickly resolved.

Bankview

from Dorothy C (Sister of Resident) published on 29 July 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My sister moved into Bankview in May and from the beginning I have been very impressed with how welcoming all staff are; everyone is very friendly, approachable and helpful. The transition into Bankview was smooth and staff were able to put my mind at ease with regards to the next step for my sister's
care. My sister has settled in very well and is delighted with her room. We appreciate, as a family, the wide range of activities and experiences on offer that my sister can attend should she wish. I have observed positive interactions between the staff and my sister - and other residents - and the staff obviously work hard at building positive relationships with all residents. The environment itself is very welcoming, with care and attention given to how it is has been decorated for the benefit of the residents, and it is always clean and fresh. I know that my sister is being well cared for, safe and happy at Bankview which are my main priorities.

My mother has only been in Camilla House since 2nd June 2025, but the staff are responsive to her needs, as both they & she get to know each other.

Preston House

from Yvonne B (Daughter of Resident) published on 10 July 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mother has been residing in Preston House for a year now. Her health, and mobility has improved so much during this time, and is flourishing due to the dedication and care she receives. My Father was diagnosed with end stage kidney disease, , and wanted to be with his wife in his final weeks. Preston
made this happen. Again the dedication from the staff and Manager was second to none, and made his final weeks and days as comfortable as they could be. He was a complex man, with complex care needs, which the Care Home took in its stride. I cannot thank Preston House enough to allow them to be together til he passed. The Manager, and her team definitely care from the heart.
My mum continues to have the best care, in my opinion, and I never feel worried about the care provided to her. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

Reply from Laura Poole, Communications at Preston House

It was our privilege, and we're so glad we could help provide comfort, dignity, and togetherness during such a meaningful time. Knowing that you felt supported and reassured throughout makes all the difference to our team. Thank you again.

I have been coming here for the last year, primarily visiting my mum and lately a friend of my mum. The staff have always been pleasant, helpful and always willing to help. The place is always clean and tidy. The staff always make me feel really welcome. There are days when singers, etc visit and I
know my friend and my mum really enjoy these days.
