My mother has been a resident since November last year, and there has been no issues with her care. The home is bright and clean, and her room is always well kept. The staff and management team are friendly and approachable, and I am able to discuss any problems that may arise. There are activities for the residents and fun days for family members to attend. Overall, I would say Beechwood is one of the better ones. Everyone does the best job they can.

I cannot thank all staff for helping & caring for my mum during the most difficult time and als for supporting me too. This place has been a blessing. One thing I have noticed is at night time, if my mum needs assistance, there is a longer wait as the staff have so many patients to help & I feel the patients in my mums unit have such complex needs that there should be the same staff numbers at all times. All staff are great but it has gave me some anxiety at night the wait time for help.

My husband has been a resident since June2025. On his first day he was greeted by a Senior staff member with a big smile and a lovely conversation to the extent he said to her
" I know you" and he has never really looked back.
All of the staff treat him with care and respect and more importantly for me as an individual. They encourage him to participate in all of the activities of which there are many He loves the Choir, the outings to the Community Centres They even went to the beach during the summer. They had concerts in the courtyard which I also attended and enjoyed.
The Senior staff are always available to ask any questions and inform /involve me in and changes or health issues. The Managers door is always open to get information or just a wee chat.

There have been challenges and I have found this transition difficult but all of the staff have been caring, encouraging and supportive. They all work so hard and I could not thank them enough.

My mother in law was admitted due to an emergency. Circumstances meant we couldn't care for her & thanks to Cathy she was admitted that day.
We cannot thank staff enough for help & support given to us during her stay on respite.

They go above & beyond in their care.

My mum came into the care home on April this year. She received a warm welcome from all staff and has settled in extremely well in this short period of time. The staff have been friendly and approachable, which has enabled my mum to feel comfortable. She has participated in some of the activities, including a bus outing, karaoke and tending to the plants within the courtyard.

So far, the experience has been extremely good, and she seems to be building good relationships with the staff.

Mum never wanted to "end up in a care home", however she accepted that it became necessary and she selected Beechwood based on having visited people who had been residents and seen the quality of care provided.
Compassion and Empathy are mixed with humour and warmth from everyone there.
The level of engagement with their residents is a joy to behold, simple humanity is at the root of everything they do.

The staff do a difficult job but do it to an incredibly high standard, they are a huge credit to the home and make it what it is.

My dad is a new resident to Beechwood. Transfering from a nearby care home. His family are happier that he is in Beechwood. The whole team there are very friendly and engaging, both with my Dad and his family. This is very reassuring for us all. There is always an activity on, an event or trip organised.
He doesn't spend much time in his room but it's more than adequate and much more spacious than his previous home room.

Keep up the good work Beechwood team.

My Aunt has been living here since May of 24 and I cannot praise the care she has received from such amazing staff. Having worked in care myself for over 20 years I have never came across a care home that goes above and beyond for all its residents in the way that Beechwood does. From management to care and domestic staff I cannot fault their person centred approach with all of the residents and love that my aunt has settled into a loving and caring environment. I thank my lucky stars every day that she has been lucky enough to be placed in such a wonderful and caring home.

My Aunt has been living in Beechwood since May 2024, after moving in she settled very quickly in the Sefton unit, where she Ives with other adults with disabilities. I find all the staff excellent as they treat my Aunt with dignity and respect. The range of activities provided are excellent as there as hardly a day passes without my Aunt going on a day trip or arts and craft class. All the staff are also great with us when we visit always taking the time to chat to give us updates . Overall I can't fault anything at Beechwood care home.

My mum moved into the care home in October 2024. Staff were extremely welcoming to both my mum and family. They go above and beyond to meet all needs. Staff are friendly and approachable. Care home staff provide a healthy and clean environment which ensures all residents are safe with their dignity maintained at all times. My mum appears happy and staff always encourage her to maintain her independence when she can. They update family on a regular basis with any change to care needs. Myself and my family are really happy with the level of care my mum receives.

Staff are very caring and responsive to my aunt's needs while encouraging her to be as independent as she can. They have a lovely manner and are extremely patient with her. They have activities most days to make life interesting and she has had experiences she would never have had in her house, e.g. therapy pets or pantomime, all the while in a safer environment. I love going up to visit as it is such a calm, friendly atmosphere.

Words can't express the care that is given in this home, they give the residents 100%. I couldn't complain about anything, even when my brother passed away they were there for me and my family. If my brother wasn't feeling well they would phone and let you know and tell you that they would phone the doctor, even when you went to see your relative they would tell you how they were and if you would like to stay in the lounge or go to their room, if so they would take you to their room for you and ask if you would like a drink of tea, coffee or water.

The staff and surroundings are all excellent. It really is a home from home. The residents are treated as one big family and all staff give so much attention, care and love to all. There are plenty of activities both mental and physical which enable the residents to be stimulated.

All furnishings are immaculately cared for, aiding the comfort of the residents and all needs and care are suited to each resident's particular requirements. The cleanliness of bedroom, en suit etc., is second to none. It is just like a luxury hotel more so, due to all the love that is given.

My mother-in-law recently passed away in the care home and I would just like to say how well she was looked after by all the staff as her health declined. As a family, we asked that she should not be taken to hospital as we wanted her to pass away where she had been really happy and comfortable, her home. The staff, from the girls and guys in her unit to the management, could not have been more caring to both her and to our family. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to them all.

Would like toilet to be upgraded, a repaint would be nice to freshen up facilities.
Staff are always very helpful in all aspects of care.
Food menu could do with more variety. Acftivities always very good.

Could do with a visit from a GP when required, at the moment, only a photographer being sent to GP rather than a visit.

I find that the staff and management are very helpful. They can't do enough for you. Nothing seems to be any trouble. My wife can't say enough about them. She likes the food and staff. Before she came here I had to do everything for her, help with the toilet and she would not go outside. So the staff have turned that around.
