Grandholm Care Home provides general nursing care for people over the age of 65 and to those with dementia-related conditions. The purpose-built home is equipped for 79 residents, and is located just a few miles away from Aberdeen City Centre and the local seaside.

The home is equipped with modern amenities, and residents enjoy bright and spacious single bed accommodation with their own en-suite facilities for privacy and convenience.

Beautifully appointed lounge and dining facilities are available throughout the home so that residents can enjoy home cooked meals and afternoon tea with family and friends.

A varied activities programme is available to residents, with the convenience of a local area that is excellent for both entertainment and heritage, with a theatre and cinema nearby, as well as a museum and the famous Victoria Country Park.

Our dad was resident at Grandholm Care Home for 18 months prior to his passing. We found the staff, caring, attentive & treated our dad with dignity & respect. Our dad looked clean & cared for. We always found the staff friendly & welcoming when we visited. The care home was clean & tidy. His room was
the same. There always seemed to be a good choice of meals. We had peace of mind knowing he was in a safe place.

We cannot thank the staff at this facility for the incredible care and compassion they showed my late mother during her time there. From the moment she arrived, we felt comforted knowing she was in the best possible hands.


Nothing was ever too much trouble - every member of staff went above and

beyond to ensure my mum was treated with dignity, kindness, and genuine warmth. The level of support, not just for her but for our family too, was truly remarkable. They took the time to get to know her, understand her needs, and made her feel safe and loved right to the end.


Losing a loved one is never easy, but knowing she spent her final days surrounded by such dedicated and caring people brings us immense comfort. I will always be grateful for the respect, professionalism, and heartfelt care shown by everyone at Grandholm care home

All staff very friendly from front office staff through to carers, trained nurses, cooks and cleaners. They all know my mums name and always stop to have a wee chat when they see her. My mum's condition has deteriorated and I have been kept regularly up to date on any issues regarding her care or changes
to her medication. She has recently needed more help with her personal care and this has been attended to very well. Her room is always clean and she enjoys the meals that she gets.

I am truly impressed with the exceptional care and support provided by the team at Grandholm Care Home. My grandfather, who lives with dementia and hearing loss, has been a resident for 18 months and the staff have consistently shown kindness, compassion, and understanding.
The carers take the time
to get to know him as an individual, adapting their approach to meet his unique needs. They communicate effectively using sign language to the best of there ability, ensuring he feels included and engaged.
The home is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, but it's the dedication and passion of the staff that truly sets Grandholm apart. They go above and beyond to provide a sense of community and belonging for all residents.
I feel grateful and reassured knowing my grandfather is in such capable and caring hands. I highly recommend Grandholm Care Home to anyone looking for a supportive and nurturing environment for their loved one.

Carehome really made me feel at ease when visiting and really looked after my grandmother well even though she was only there a week due to ill health. The staff were remarkably considerate regarding me and my family members. The week of my grandmothers passing was very comfortable and easing for both

My aunt was a resident at Grandholm care home from may 2023 until she passed away in April 2025, she had dementia and was unable to live in her flat unassisted. It was not an easy choice putting our aunt in a care home but the staff at Grandholm made the transition so much easier for us.


I always

found the staff to be very attentive and caring and saw to my aunts needs very professionally.


I also found the home to be extremely clean, that was evident in her room and the communal areas.


I would just like to thank the staff for making my aunts stay at Grandholm care home comfortable and gave us peace of mind that she was being well looked after.


I would have no hesitation in recommending Grandholm care home to anyone looking for a care home for their loved one.

My mum was a resident for a short period before she sadly passed, the staff welcomed her upon arrival and cared for her with dignity and respect during the short period she was a resident, sadly she passed away. The care she received from the staff was amazing and she was very comfortable when her health
declined due to all the personalised care the staff delivered, I am grateful to all staff at Grandholm, myself and my family cannot thank them enough.

Mum was only in Grandholm for a little over three weeks but the care and support she received was more than we could have hoped for. Everyone was so warm and welcoming and made Mum feel at home and cared for. Thank you all so much. It meant so much to me and the family.

It has been 4 months now since my dad went to Grandholm and all I can say is well done to all, from his first night till now he has been reassured and taken care of every minute of the day.
All the staff from nurses to carers, management and office staff (not forgetting the handypersons) have been
absolutely brilliant, making me and my family feel very welcome every visit and informing us every step of the way on dad's medical changes, activities etc.
It's not an easy decision to put a relative into a care home but Grandholm has made the transition so much easier for us all.

My Mum has been in Grandholm care home for over a year now as sadly she has dementia, and the level of care she has received has been excellent and can’t be faulted. All management and staff are really helpful and polite. I would have no hesitation in recommending Grandholm to anyone who is looking

The manager and her team looked after her and made her so comfortable from the first day till the last.
We were fortunate to be with Mother at the end!

It is only over 6 months ago that it was us as a family looking at care homes for our dear Mum who has dementia. And hand on heart we all feel so lucky that Mum is being looked after at Grandholm. The very first thing we noticed on our initial visit was the laughter, and welcoming happy and friendly
atmosphere. Every member of staff is so kind and it has put all our minds at ease knowing that Mum is cared for by such lovely genuine caring people.
Then there is the amazing communication, always keeping us informed and discussing any changes in her care which we all really appreciate. We cannot praise Grandholm highly enough and it’s thanks to each and every one of this amazing team that we continue to feel supported as a family. Thank you all.

Dad became a resident of Grandholm in August 2021 when covid restrictions were making it difficult for everyone. However, the staff at Grandholm make everyone welcome and gradually activities and socialising have opened up and it has become a second family to Dad. We cannot fault the care that he has
received since moving in. Nothing is ever too much trouble and we're really happy that Dad's in safe hands here. When Mum's needs changed and she needed the support of being in a care home there was no doubt in our minds that Grandholm was the best place and she became a resident in April 2022. Although Mum's needs are different from Dad's, she is also treated with the best of care, great understanding and patience from all the staff. She has settled in very well, made some friends and gets involved in activities. As a family, we are delighted that Mum and Dad are in the same care home receiving the best of care. We would have no hesitation in recommending this care home. Thank you so much.

My Dad has been a resident in Grandholm Care Home since September 2018 and during all that time I have been totally satisfied with my Dad's care. The staff are brilliant and take his welfare very seriously. They take the time to get to know him and make him as comfortable as possible. I also find my

I’ve seen such an improvement in my mum since she’s been admitted. All the staff have been really nice and helpful and made such a difference to my mum. I would strongly recommend anyone thinking of moving as the support is fantastic.
