Grandholm Care Home provides general nursing care for people over the age of 65 and to those with dementia-related conditions. The purpose-built home is equipped for 79 residents, and is located just a few miles away from Aberdeen City Centre and the local seaside.

The home is equipped with modern amenities, and residents enjoy bright and spacious single bed accommodation with their own en-suite facilities for privacy and convenience.

Beautifully appointed lounge and dining facilities are available throughout the home so that residents can enjoy home cooked meals and afternoon tea with family and friends.

A varied activities programme is available to residents, with the convenience of a local area that is excellent for both entertainment and heritage, with a theatre and cinema nearby, as well as a museum and the famous Victoria Country Park.

My mum has only been a resident since October 2021 but in that short time, I have nothing but praise for all staff involved. She has onset dementia and the staff are very understanding and patient with her. All her needs are taken care of with no issues from me. I am constantly being updated when required
regarding my mum's welfare. I was kept updated during any lockdowns during Covid and could phone at any time to check myself. A big thank you to all staff at Grandholm.

I couldn't wish for a better care home for my father. All staff, whether it be office, admin or nursing, are absolutely a joy to engage with. Nothing is too much trouble at any time I have spoken up, been in and seen them, they always seem very happy to be around and working and to answer any questions
that one has. I knew this care home was special when I looked around with a view to finding care for my father. The staff held hands with the residents and spoke so beautifully to them and led them on their way along the corridors. My father has been in this wonderful establishment for six months now and they seem to give me great ideas to boost his happiness here. Nothing is too much trouble in making the residents' time here a happy one, once they get to know what makes each one happy.

Top-down, can't talk highly enough of the care provided but as a family, the security from the staff provided us with peace of mind for her care. Our mother was treated with dignity and encouraged to mix. When visiting, all staff had a smile and welcome for us. Can't believe how lucky to find such a

My wife, unfortunately for her and I, has been living in Grandholm Care Home for the past four years. She has dementia and I can honestly say during her stay to date, I have full confidence in Grandholm management and floor staff and in the care they are providing her, it gives me peace of mind. My
wife having dementia has been hard for me to cope with but that caring bunch have helped me deal with it and still are. Thank you all and take care.

My mum became a resident in May 2018. She was on the second floor but on saying there wasn't much interaction between residents, Mum was immediately moved to the ground floor which she loved. Her mental capacity was 100% but she needed 24-hour medical care. The nurses and carers were amazing, so competent
and caring. Mum loved her meals and up until a week before she died, she still walked with her Zimmer through to the dining room. All through lockdown we were kept updated on Mum's welfare. The staff in all departments couldn't do enough for Mum and the family.

My mum was resident in Grandholm Care Home for almost four years until she passed away very recently. The manager and her team of staff were caring, professional and kind during the length of my mum's stay. Her room was comfortable and always kept clean and the facilities are good. The Covid lockdown
was a very difficult time but staff rose to this challenge to ensure the safety of residents and contact with family by appropriate means. I have found the staff to be approachable, friendly, cheerful and able to deal sensitively with any issues.

My dad needed emergency respite care and was only in for 3 nights, but I'm so grateful to all the staff looking after my dad before he passed away. For the short time he was there the staff were very caring and did everything to make him as comfortable as possible.
They took all the pressure off my
mum who had been caring for him at home 24/7 and had taken its toll on her.
I honestly am lost for words for the way they looked after him and us while we visited.
Amazing team and will never forget the way they looked after him.

We are very grateful to the Grandholm Care Manager for arranging an assessment of my mum in Essex which enabled us to transfer her to be near us in Aberdeen. My mum will have been a resident in Grandholm Care Home for 3 years in May this year. We cannot recommend this care home more highly. The staff
are very caring, helpful, cheerful and attentive, and nothing is too much trouble. My mum's personal care is excellent. She had lost weight while at home but quickly regained this, with the plentiful, varied, home-cooked meals which are adapted to suit my mum's needs, following transfer to the home. The 'home bakes' also suit my mum's love of sweet things. There is an air of calm that reassured us that this would be a safe environment for my mum and this has proven to be true. The cleaning staff should also be commended because the home is spotless throughout. Thank you for all you do.

When my mother was first admitted to Grandholm over three years ago, when I visited there were always residents shouting down the corridors, alarms going off and I have to say a smell in the corridor. It is now like a hotel, quiet, clean, organised, friendly and efficient staff.

It’s difficult to put into words how much Grandholm meant to my mum and our family. Mum spent her final two years there and the home, and its staff, couldn’t have been better. They looked after her during lockdown when we couldn’t get in, cared for her when old age began to take its toll and nursed
her in her final days. We lost her aged 99 on Halloween and the team looked after both her and us as we sat with her at the end. Grandholm always felt like a home rather than nursing care, and I’d recommend it, and its team, to anyone looking for care for their loved ones.

My mother who recently passed away had been in Grandholm Care Home for 10 months and I could not have wished for better, the nursing care provided by the staff was second to none. All the staff were friendly, approachable and nothing was ever any bother to them no matter what my query or concern. The
professionalism in which the staff carried out their duties has to be commended.
I am especially thankful for the care given not only to mum in her final hours but to myself and family, the support at this difficult time was very much appreciated.

Granholm Home is a welcoming place. All the staff are helpful, friendly and very caring to their residents.

I want to say that I would recommend Grandholm Care Home to anyone. My husband has just passed after 14-months. It is a very good friendly service. I felt relaxed about the care given to him. The manager is very good and chooses her staff well. I give 100%.

Over the last year, the care my relative received was exceptional. The staff are all very courteous and caring and can't do enough to help.

We can highly recommend Grandholm Care Home. My mum was very well looked after with the utmost of care and understanding of her condition. All staff were kind and friendly and this helped my mum settle in very quickly and made our family feel at ease with the caring way she was treated. The manager
has done an excellent job in making Grandholm a place that provides first-class treatment of residents. No complaints at all!
